It’s a crime how little exposure Sleeping at Last has in mainstream music. You have all these no-talent artists on the charts today, and far not enough people have been graced with hearing Sleeping at Last. This was a beautiful cover!
Tanner Wise yeah but I kinda like that we have are own little secret of listening to him. I know Ryan deserves more attention but I’m afraid if he does then mainstream will ruin him. They won’t let him stay the way he is. They don’t really like what he sings about. It isn’t their style or what they want. I just want him to be able to write how he wants

I think a it of people have heard his music without noticing, his music is used in so much television and film, but people rarely watch the credits 🙄 I found his music through twilight, oddly enough, looked for the song after I heard it, and fell in love. His works are always so conceptual and intimate, he definitely deserves a lot more credit!

I have to say I discovered the original version of this song a few months ago and it hit a very personal note after losing a close family member this time last year. And this cover as with the original is absolutely gorgeous. Very well done.
And this song request may well be already covered and I’ll look soon to see if you had, but on the note of personal songs, I feel you could do a very interesting rendition of The Way by Fastball.

So, this video kept popping up in my recomended videos. And for the longest time, i hesitated to watch it; not because I thought it would be bad, but because I associate the song with very sad things. I listened to the original version of this song a lot around the time my mom, aunt, and grandparents died, all in the space of a couple of month. Thereafter I just couldn't listen to this song anymore. But, hearing this cover..I know I can still enjoy this song. Maybe I just needed to hear it a different way, played by someone else, to love it again, instead of the original. Sir, you have a wonderful talent for singing and for playing the cello. Furthermore, thank you for helping me love this song again.
I'm so sorry for your losses. Losing someone you love is the worst pain ever. You don't ever get over it, but when time passes, it's easier to think about them in a good way than to think about how they're not around anymore. And with a song like this, I can see why it's difficult to listen to, but man is it beautiful.

There is a cover of this song on youtube sung by a girl named Jaclyn Lovey, and I watched her finger patterns and memorized the chords that she had played. I also liked the key she sang! And thank you so much for your kind words. It has been really hard on my family, but I am so grateful and blessed to have 22 years with my wonderful nana. At her memorial, people told me that this song was so fitting and perfect. Prayers out to you and your family!
