reported bol bol has work ethic issues and he really doesnt care. its likely why he was cut from the magic gilbert arenas said the same thing, he has all the tools and talent in the world to succeed but he doesnt care.

The 2019 Draft Class is still one of the most cursed draft classes of all time
Zion is mostly a menace in the sheets then he is on the court
Ja is a lethal shooter on and off the court.
RJ is just there, literally forgot he was a 3rd overall pick.
Bol Bol is the only one who I feel sad for, he couldâve been Wembanyama before Wembanyama was Wembanyama. I still believe in him, heâs personally also one of my favorites from this class.
I meanâŠRJ ainât bad I guess but everyone else is cursed

Cursed? They were all blessed with millions of dollars
@@irietropicals4255money is not everything, I hope you notice this before itâs too late.
Compare him to a guy who hasn't accomplished anything in the NBA. What has Wembanyama done in the NBA that Bol Bol hasn't? Wem has one summer league game. ASSuming is dangerous.
He will be awesome for the golden state warriors. They should pick him up and give him a shot. They lack size
Nah
The rockets lack size center wise
Nah not a chance warriors is looking to win championship so developing a player is not their goal especially center position
He has been in the League long enough. He should be developed already. I hope he goes to the Suns
@@crawlinginfaithbdalingo5515 itâs not as easy as that especially playing within a system. Look at Johnathan kominga and players like him even kwame brown some players take time to develop
@@crawlinginfaithbdalingo5515 lol a crappy magic team waived him. that sums up how developed he is
Getting waived by the rebuilding Magic makes me question Bol's work ethic. Because he has the potential, athleticism, and talent, but there has to be a reason why he isn't getting minutes that teams are being hushed about.
InJuRy
@@yeetmaster9010nah cuz there was rumors of him not having work ethic when he got drafted to Denver too
When you're getting waived by the Magic, you probably don't have many chances left in the league
For the past decade Orlando has had like 5 below average starter bigs on their roster but never a great one. So always a logjam of meh talent. Maybe Paolo changes that
Idk he got minutes last year and had some really good games flashing a pretty good skill set...there has got to be something else going on with dude off the court...he just too talented to keep getting cut
I wish Miami would pick him up. They are so good at developing young players. Really pulling for this guy

@@martianmurray its just counter intuitive saying that rather than saying, yeah they should get him back
To those wondering why Bol Bol was waived, it's because bigs who can't play defense are not desirable. If you guys want Bol Bol on your team, you will be surprised to learn that Christian Wood is also available. He is a better player than Bol Bol but the Mavericks didn't resign him to a new contract. Why is that? It's because Christian Wood doesn't play defense. It is all offense for him which is good for the stats sheet but not good for the team.
Exactly and ppl kept wondering why J Kidd wasn't giving him the minutes.
Interesting, we always forget about defense. Unless youre in the business, or an avid fan you never really see it
My observations shows plenty of shots blocked when hes in the game so i disagree with your assumption
@@s-madegames Rudy Gorbert gets plenty of blocks but he gets exposed in other aspects of playing defense
@@s-madegames Just read the comments of Magic fans. They said that Bol Bol is hunting for blocks but past that, he is a defensive liability. He has no court awareness. I didn't say that. The Magic fans said that.
Now he joins the worlds of players like Thon Maker. Im sure he still made his father proud
That's a little disrespectful... Bol Bol has the talent to be a legit basketball player...
Thon Maker *never* had any feel for the game... Executives kept thinking he would eventually develop one or they could teach him... But Bol Bol is way further along on the eyeball test then Thon ever was...
Bol Bol dad played college basketball during my time, and I remember doing some work with him in the later part of this life in Africa. I too, I am a big fan of Bol Bol, and I was hoping he would carry the family legacy of dominating the boards like his dad. He can play good defense and you can sometimes see it in him. However, he don't put much effort in defense most of the time, and one can think that he is not a physically gifted player. On offense, he can almost touch the top of the backboard 7:58. if he wants to play in the NBA again, he has to bring that kind of effort on both ends of the floor. There is no excuse for no getting at least 12 boards and 4 blocks a game.
Facts
I was saying he needs to get picked up by a good squad. But someone reminded me that itâs not the coaching staff. Thereâs a lot of talks that he just doesnât want it bad enough and doesnât have the work ethic. Itâs on him
unlikely. He's dedicated his life to basketball, and his skillset looks like he's put in a lot of work and deserves floor time.

He went to the 76âsđ
He didnât give effort in Denver lol he just wanted to iso and chuck jumpers
â@@Simon_Sezoh shit.i guess Denver didn't want another Melo situation,i think đ.
I think heâd be a good pick up for Miami or Phoenix. Heâs not a âwin nowâ player but I think heâd be an interesting pickup for either of them or any team that willing to give him a shot
Bol Bol needs to come to Charlotte! Heâd be a great piece to play along Ball. Heâs become a lob threat as well as be able to help the hornets space out the floor. Heâd also add height which would boost defense (would be better if he can add some weight)
This is the same thing that happened to Aaron Gordon in Orlando. His game has developed beyond the rim and heâs an NBA champion Sometimes teams just donât know what they have until another team gets them. I hope that Bol Bol gets with a team that is willing to develop him because he does have a, good skill set.
Gordon has improved but he's not a guy to lead your team, just a good follower.
@@sladewilson6924which is much needed. thereâs 10 non-leaders for every leader
Warriors could us him atleast 9mins atleast!
@@planetpoog True. I just think a guy drafted #4 overall should be more of a go to type player. But even though he's got 10 years in the league, he's only 27.
OTOH Bol Bol was also in Denver and they traded him away too. Might be something there.
I'm seriously rooting for him to put it all together because he can definitely be an all-star level talent
Sadly idk about that one bro⊠he can barely get a roster spot in his 5th season
He's only 23 still will improve
@@rapgodreloaded9259. I really don't see a whole lot wrong with his game. Jon Collins, and Wood for Atlanta, are two names I can think of that has a game similar to his with about the same condition as far as defense is concerned. It's something else that is keeping him from getting a real opportunity to excel in the NBA. I remember a year or two ago the man played so well that the league piss-tested him as soon as the game was over. The warriors are showing an interest in acquiring him. I like that, I think he'd be good for them provided he is given a real chance to play . Play him to his talents and not try and make him be something he is not.
@@vernonwhite4124your brain must be starving for oxygen
Because Paolo Banchero, I mean if he was first five and first option he can definitely deliver. NBA is part luck as well, right team at the right time.
He started a bunch of games and was meh in all of them. His defense Is just straight trash unfortunately
Why don't Knicks or Sun or Lakers pick this man up! He has talent and skills, I don't understand why two teams pass or don't want him?
apparently work ethic is low
He doesn't want to share the ball, doesn't care if he's double teamed, he'll shoot or dribble.
It pisses off teammates and kills tram spirit.
He soft and dumb
He stayed long enough in those 2 teams to evaluate him correctly. If he is weak mentally, then it's a weakness that only him can solve. Also, perhaps he is not a fun guy in the locker room.
@wavemaker2077 Wow, for the locker park... Does anyone guess he might be home sick? Remember he in a strange place with no family or friends?
Spurs should take him and pair him up with Wemby. That way both could end up training very similarly and pushing each other to stay competitive
Any team should take him
Right, I often wonder what would happen if Chet, Wemby and Bol Bol got together. Give me Jokic and Giannis and I can make a full 7 ft. team. My defensive scheme would just be "hands up". Offensively I would just let Giannis and Jokic toy with them with unlimited scoring options.
Lmaooo
I love Bol! I hope he lands in Chicago on my squad. He's got fantastic potential. It would be dope to see him in a Bulls uniform...
Would Caruso be willing to mentor him? That would be great.
As a Bulls fan I would love to see him play in Chicago. We desperately need a guy like him to protect the rim and grab some boards.
In all honesty him being released isnt a bad thing. They have way too many bigs anyways so its always going to be a battle for minutes.
He needs a team that needs a big and also trusts him enough to actually give him a clear defined role and allow him to learn through playing real minutes not just practice.
He still has a chance im just hoping he finds the right fit đđœ
I heard before he got drafted that there were questions about his work ethicđą. I'm really rooting for him
I think the main thing he needs is stability. Some team needs to ride with him for more than just one or two years. Dude can ball thereâs no question but he canât seem to stay both healthy and rostered for too long. Hope the Suns can somehow find a way to pick him up. Heâd be a great fit
Damn you called it
I like the fit though, hopefully he can learn some stuff from Kd, and get some consistent minutes with the suns lack of depth
As someone who has watched Bol Bol since highschool and someone who is an Orlando Magic fan, the only issue with Bol Bol is no one is letting him loose ...every one is tryna to mold him into a role when he is literally just a big ass scoring machine guard in a bigs body. I've watched teams try to make this man on ball defender, a pick and roll guy... make him everything but what he is ...he just wants to score so let him just be good at that...instead they call him a liability because he isnt a traditional or his size says he should be better at rebounding and defense or blah blah blah ... the Magic let him play freely a lil bit and we went on a 9 game win streak which was the longest of our season and Bol as a starter played a huge part in that. I think Bol can still be a dangerous weapon in this league. Some team just has to accept that he get score like crazy for you but dont expect much else.
He was also the reason we lost a lot of games at the beginning of the season bc position wise, he is not a center. And when they had him playing the 5, he was lost and got bullied a lot in the post. We moved him to the 4 and he decided to iso every possession and throw the ball away. Lastly, We went on a win streak because Markelle came back and was able to run the offense. We didnât need Bol to be a scoring machine. We needed him to be literally everything else and he refused to do that. Again, he had some fun moments and Iâm not downplaying his talent at all but itâs very clear he was not interested in developing the necessary skills to play team ball. I genuinely hope heâs able to find his fit somewhere though.
â@akw23 This is it..... Perfectly said. I am a huge fan of Bol, not the Magic, but I watched a lot of Magics games because of him. You are spot on. Markelle was the reason why Magic won so many ganes and yes because of Bol, some games were lost.
He is one of my fav players, but he is what he is and refuses to accept other roles.
Interesting comment. Just let the Duck score. Don't worry about other stuff. To do that, a team would have to have 4 great defenders, and not enough scoring. Bol is a better than average shot blocker. That sounds...
crazy enough to work!
@akw23 or we were playing without point guards for almost 20 games but go ahead and tell your version of history. Last I remember Paolo and Franz were out there with higher usage rates and bad stats too but we not gone blame them because it doesn't fit the narrative that Bol has to be useless.
@tarico4436 you're talking as if I mean use him as a centerpiece of an offense and I'm not. There's plenty of players in the NBA that happen to be good at one thing and only one thing and get paid millions and heavy. minutes.
If I were a GM I'd be worried about signing a big like Bol Bol. He's already starting to get stress factures, which isn't necessarily a huge deal but it depends on the area. History also proves these bigs have short careers. Plus, his father tragically passed away in his 40s from a genetically predisposed disease, so there's more than just bone/joint health to worry about.
It's not just about numbers (and it also is). The defensive problems, along with his desire to play out of position for his skillset, means he's a fringe NBA player. He's got to change his game to model more of a point-center, which also means taking fewer threes. The issue is how thin he is, and how he probably can't take the pounding. He could also do with some improvements in decision making. He show flashes, for sure, but it would take some pretty heavy coaching, and his buying into said coaching, to make him a rotation player on a team.
Nuggets fans loved the guy. We went crazy for any block, for any three, for any dunk. But he didnât put the work in. He didnât buy into the team nor the process. He was just uncoachable. His attitude is what did him in in Denver.
Bol shot 26.5% from three last season but in 33 games as a starter he shot 36.2% a tick above Franz Wagner. Perhaps it is a rhythm thing.
I wouldnt take much weight in the Magic waiving him. Magic get rid of future champions and hall of famers đ
loved the video. and subbed.
you got it right on Bol Bol. I will def give him an another chance to be starting in NBA.
Can you imagine if he was drafted by the SPURS . . . .or MAVS !?!?
if Warriors picked up both Bol Bol and Thon Maker it would be inventive and they need bigs they are both skinny bigs but 2 open spots on the roster right now damn they need towers
warriors are trying to win more championships. bol is not the type of player they need on their roster
Kerr just wouldnât play him enough. Probably one of the worst teams he could go to
I think as a free agent it allows him pick a team that will allow him to get more playing time. Since he had a good season with the Magic another team will pick him up and give him another shot. But he has to become more consistent and stay healthy to be on the court.
miami
Bol is a good dude. His handles are his downfall though. Heâs still learning how to pass his way out of trouble instead of dribbling his way into a worse situationâŠalthough it does lead to some crazy highlights. I definitely donât think heâs done though.
He went to 4 high school in 4 yrs and 1yr in college and scouts couldn't find one ex coach that would vouch for him. That was worrying before he admitted he didn't work hard in Denver.
Warriors need to gone head and get oh boy
Right just what we need for real a big man that can space the floor perfect for the warrior
Come play for your pop's old team. Plus the warriors will re-ignite his career, ask Mcgee.
Bol Bol needs to show that he can be more teachable than Wiseman. But it seems there's no edge yet other than being cheaper than JWs contract.
@@smolyponks True true, but the Warriors can't afford to pay more than the minimum for the few remaining spots on the roster. They're pretty desperate at this point.
He will be fine, awesome player!!
I wish the magic couldâve kept him. That mini breakout was aweosme to see this year.
Im genuinely shocked he got waived after the season he just had
"He's broke and unenployed."

The nba has their favorites and he ainât one of them. Donât even matter how he plays.
As far as Bol Bol is concerned, all his problems are in his head...
Mavs fan here. Dtown needs this man. Team is a defensive shell of what it was. Can see him thriving in the pick and roll heavy offense under Luka.
We have CWood who does the same, but doesnt defend.
Really was excited when my team got him...... until I watched him actually play. Wishing him the best
What's wrong with his play?
@@wavemaker2077 He's completely lost on the court. The defense is atrocious. He makes five knucklehead plays for every one of those highlight plays in this vid. I think it's just a mind thing like they said in this vid. Hopefully, he learns the schemes because he definitely has the raw talent
Thank you for the Video bro. I love Bol Bol. I hope he can put it together. Wemby and he are similar to me, skill set wise. However I am just a dude hoping that Ben Simmons finds a good home and Bol Bol as well.
I still think this dude has potential. Make him a rim protector and he could probably thrive. Golden State needs size currently
That year-long foot fracture was the kiss of death.
the reason why Giannis is so different from this type of prospect is his Motor and Tenacity which you can't teach..

Smh. This man was getting better and better at a fast pace. This is why Orlando is where they are. 9 and 6 around twenty minutes is not bad
If he can change his mentality, will then see Bol Bol become fully unleashed!
I think if Bol could improve his court vision and become a good passer, when he drives in and the defense collapses on him he could become a great threat with the right scheme and team
i love how the nba keeps finding wayz to throw great players away
Even on that end to end play that you highlighted, he had two wide-open team-mates underneath he could have passed to.
Why he will pass the ball if he already at tha basket? That donât make sense, if you are already their you take it all the way down
@@melvinjradornogalay yeah he scored on that play, but before he got there, he "passed" on several open players.
@@leeinoregon1326 Related to great alley oop finishes started as terrible alley oop passes. Goal is to score but there is a reason teams look at analytics.

Coming on over to Minnesota we love big man
He'd be perfect for the thunder. Good young internal competition. Him, chet and poku training together would benefit them all.
It'd also really round out that roster if he pans out as a winning team player.
OKC already have Pokushevski, who is exactly the same kind of player like Bol Bol - a 7 foot tall skinny guy who wants to play like a guard.
He probably left a bad impression on the brass when he went to the Green Room.
Bol bol is a 2nd and 3rd qtr guy. He can fill in some minutes when the game is in flow, the middle part of the game because he cant be on floor at end of game. Ive seen it and its not pretty cuz at end of the game when d locks in more tightly and Bol Bol turns it over and gets rebounds taken by guards cu he isnt strong
He needs to be on a team with a good coach and scheme that fits his style
Ryan Rupert went like 43rd and was in the green room this year
Only a few players have size and skill like him. A contender like miami and boston could benefit from a stretch big like him.
Then why do you think a rebuilding Orlando Magic gave up on him?
I would take him on my team. The Raps they got Boucher who is like a smaller version. Boucher however knows how to move without the ball. I think just that one difference is what keeps one guy in the lineup. Boucher always engaged, crashing boards and active on boards, both on O and D. Bol needs to do that.
situation like this may be the wake up call he needed
Tbh I love the fact that you didnât mention victor , everytime this topic came up people would mention victor
I think he could still be a good player but I think he needs a better motor
His issue was never his injuries. His work ethic is rumored to be horrible. There is a reason why teams passed out in him. The Magic is a rebuilding team and players would love to be in that team to develop but why are they waiving Bol? Because he doesn't put in the work and they gave up on him.
Yeah he needs to go to a franchise where they can help develop his mindset. Like Miami or Boston
Bol would still be awesome on a team with one or two vets that have carved out their roles with effort and versatility. Old school guys on team friendly contracts. The Magic didn't really have that or an established coach and I honestly just think he didn't fit what
Denver was trying to do.
Both Dwight Powell and Kyrie strike me as great mentors for his game and I think the Mavs should go get him. What could it hurt?
Even in his best highlight where you goes Coast-to-Coast he actually travels at the end and just didn't get that call. The dude is not a unicorn there's a lot of 7-footers who can dribble nowadays and he just doesn't play consistently had an MBA level. I see the sky topping out at like 12 to 14 points per game depending on how many minutes he's getting. I've never been super impressed with dude's game. They're definitely highlights but he seems to get lost in the moment.đ
Critical think and it'll be loud and clear what's going on...
The Cavs are already talkin about signin em bro
Hope so
He's right but the thing about it is that every team he's on has to show him that they believe in him more. They're prioritizing guys in his position at best that are average players while you have him coming off the bench with inconsistent minutes thinking he's going to figure it out with limited time on the floor. Now he does make some bad decisions but with a generational player like that you have to let him make mistakes because on a team like Orlando is not like they're actually going to be doing anything special as far as being a title contender so might as well let him figure it out. Once a team gives him the proper chance and proper minutes he'll shine like he's supposed to.
People forget bol bol has the same type of problems zion has with nowhere near the upside. If bol wants to have longevity in the league he needs to go to the heat or jazz cause theyll have him fundamentally sound.
Jury is still out on Bol Bol. A lot of it is mental with him, but the OTHER part of it is putting him down the right coach and system that will invest in his talents. Nothing worse than being on a team where coaches, fellow players, and the front office have you on a short leash. That was the case for Bol Bol in both Denver, as well as Orlando. Let's see who picks him up, now.
I have seen play with the Magic, he tends to be selfish/have the blackhole syndrom, he's a ball stopper
The fact he said mpj was correct shows his lack of hunger and lack of fire to compete
Bol Bol is a nightmare actually for teams to match up against and I'm hoping LA LAKERS pick him up cause he brings a different dimension untapped at this point of his career yet we've seen glimpse of what he brings at 7'2 with 7'5 wingspan with point guard skills and he can hit the 3pt shot as well as block shots ..
If Wemby turns into the prospect that many think he will the Bol should be working double time to improve on skills hes lacking cos every GM is going to looking for their own 7+ foot all rounder wemby clone.
Or every nba team needs a 7+ footer to stand in front of Wemby? He is too tall so a 6'10 center is too small for him.
He needs to go to a new team with a long leash that will give him more than a season and want to focus on developing him like Charlotte Detroit or even San Antonio
can you make a vid about lamelo with his new team mate like how you think the team will work around it and about lonzo situation
Hornets still garbage. Lonzo will probably never play nba basketball again
And how they drafted a player who's best ability is his passing and creating for others which is what LaMelo is special at, passing up on scoot Henderson who is a score first gaurd who would have fit great with LaMelo đ
@@Ericrawnsleyyeah exactly, thatâs just going to ruin the offense and i just dont see how things will work well for them.
This dude can ball! I feel like he has some type of injury that prevents him from putting in the work
He needs to be with the Blazers, back in Oregon
bulls raptors pacers would be a perfect fit for him to shine and get his numbers up and that respect
Itâs all about confidence. Confidence allows you to be more aggressive. Being more aggressive usually makes up for a lot of other shortcomings and makes your coaches and teammates appreciate you more.
Bol Bol is a fun player to watch. I hope he can find a team where he fits in.
Depression is a different beast. Best wishes to Bol Bol!
His biggest problem is he doesn't make the right passes/decisions and he doesn't play D. if you watch him play you'll know he isn't that good
Doesnt it suck when a 7 footer cant play Dđ
I think the reason why they waived bol bol is to make room for the 7'2 filipino phenom kai sotto? it also makes sense for them because they have so many talent the don't need the service of bol bol and also kai sotto has a lot of followers and is a good for marketing their franchise.
they waived him because he just isnt good, it is that simple
