Very thorough review. Appreciate the attention to cooperative v. competitive.

    Side note for buying cards
You can actually buy cards at range. If one the cards providing power has sufficient range, you can buy it without necessarily having to landing on it.

From my understanding, all of the relevant cards have to have the requisite range on them, not just one.

Your Transformers fan status was confirmed by your range of character voices 😂

Man, I'm so glad you pushed me into testing this out. I really dig it. Admittedly perhaps my choice of Optimus Prime for my game was probably a factor in giving me the extra draw to power my big combo plays- but with a stockpile of Energon, and a few Courage cards, I was able to really extend my turn into a massive combo on Megatron. Still lost as time ran out before I found the other boss, but that combo really sold me on it. Excited to try the rest.

All it takes is a key moment. For as rocky as the mechanisms can be sometimes, the moments can be so good.

I think you swayed me into buying this.
Have you tried the Transformers crossover for the GI Joe DBG?

I have not yet. I wasn’t as big a GI Joe fan so didn’t prioritize it. But it’s on my eventually radar.

So.. are any of these expansions good for SOLO play or coop? That's the only way I plan to play. You made it sound like there are too many cards specific for Team vs Team competative mode. If that's the case, should I skip these expansions for SOLO play (i.e. don't use em)?

Id say around 1/4 to 1/3 of the cards in Rising Darkness are pvp. That leaves a bunch of others that can be shuffled in. If you’re looking to vary up your base game, theres still plenty to shuffle in with the xpacs, just not as much as there could be.

@@OneStopCoopShop Hey thanks for the tips. One more questions; which expansion works best for solo/coop? I want to start with just 1, see how it goes.

Infiltration Protocol has a pretty cool little mission-based thing that’s very easy to solo. The Dinobots are oriented to pvp, largely. Rising Darkness is the bigger one and has more cards, but also some pvp stuff going on. I’m featuring War on Cybertron and Clash of the Combiners later this year.
