Why don't people reach out more and maybe try to introduce their single friends to each other? It was a desperately depressing film which confirms that nothing is so isolating as being around a contented couple who are blissfully aware of their friends isolation and just sit back and watch...
So love Ruth! Mike Leigh my all-time favorite writer/director. Another Year is a film I never tire of watching.
