because in comparison it is, their form is more efficient.. that's why they look like they're jogging at that pace, they know how to carry momentum where other people are constantly having to drive to keep up, they're just coasting at that speed

That’s a gross oversimplification! Even with perfect form and momentum transfer, 99.9% of us would get nowhere close to Kipchoge. The guy is a genetic freak (and obviously works incredibly hard in training)

Saying he ran a 9:08 for a 2 mile is great, but he said he did that 13 _more_ times. That would equate to Eliud doing a 2 mile 14 times, which is 28 miles, not 26. A more accurate wording would be to say he ran it 12 more times, not 13.
Nonetheless it's still mad impressive Eliud was able to do this, props to him.

Idk how that’s possible. Human really are designed to run long distances without stopping. That’s why we sweat and are able to do it. I job at 4.5 for like 45 seconds and gotta slow down. Wish I could run for a mile. One day

Treadmill is so much easier then running outside, your legs are being dragged by the treadmill..

    That’s insane back when I was in the military I did a 10min 2 mile and felt like I was flying. I can’t imagine holding a 9min 2mile pace for 26miles.

I was not expecting that. I’d expected him to say 10 minutes before getting tired. Me would’ve been after 100 yards. But him being a runner I’m surprised

It won't shock you how fast these guys are but how durable they are... It's about endurance, not speed.

I saw a dude on a bike hauling ass trying to keep up. That speed is insane.

My gym's treadmill maxes out at 12mph 😅
But let's just say I believe you. I recently ran my fastest ever mile at a measly 7:29, and my current limit would probably be jogging a 5k with some walking here and there.
