Jacob Kiplimo, the fastest half marathoner ever, will be one of the elite Pacers this Sunday. I'm excited 🔥
Serious ???? ❤❤❤❤
@@hubble31yes!
You mean he is pacing, not racing?
Nicee
He's racing,late entry
Bro runs more miles than some people drive in a week 💀
Certainly way more than me. I only commute 13km per week lol
I run more than I drive a week. Granted, I work from home
Definitely 💯
I also do the same, because I don’t have a car 😂
Those long runs are something I don’t think I’d ever be able to do. This guy is crazy good. I think he’ll go around 2:02 but think another world record is a little too much. Would love to be wrong
No human is limited
He gonna go 1:59:56
@@chessplayer-ms3pnhell nah 😂
@@chessplayer-ms3pnnot a chance
@@Dinckelburg😂🤣😆😆... yes, he'll run a 25 min marathon by that logic.
Rip kelvin kiptum 🕊️🕊️
I know distance runners peak mid-life, but doing all wild training at his age still seems wild. Especially since he’s been running on the world stage for decades!
In my opinion he is redefining what "old" actually means, him and LeBron James.
The mindset of what old is has changed
Old isn’t until you reach mid 60s in my opinion, you really have to filter out what people say and instead believe in yourself believe In your abilities and learn what super focus and flow state is
People who dont run have no clue how insane his pace is.
I encourage everybody to try how long they can hold his pace! After that your Aww and respect for his performance will increase immensly.
They cant run that fast bro. Let alone hold it
My mile pr is 4:40 lmao
Your analysis is always perfect!!!
Tell you what, this is the official legal sub 2 hr marathon now! Get ready!🔥🔥🔥
I hope he breaks the world record. I hope he breaks 2:00 He is the greatest we have seen. Maybe the greatest we will see. I am happy for him and us no matter what he does.
Cant wait to see him in berlin my hometown❤
That track workout is just amazing. So consistent at such a high effort. Long live the king Kipchoge
He is so amazing!!! ✨✨✨As a runner it still mind boggles me when I see these times! I wish him the best of luck😊
If Kipchoge manages to do sub 2 at this race in Berlin, he for me goes down not just as the best marathon runner ever (which he already is) but arguably the greatest athlete ever - period.
It's a tough push at age 38, and conditions have to be perfect, but if anybody can do it (with Kiplimo's help as well), it's Kipchoge. Bekele proved as well alongside Kipchoge though that fast times are possible in your late 30s.
I'm hoping, hoping, hoping 🤞🤞🤞
One of the best runners of all time
Kipchoge is 44 he lied about his age
@@thisthat5874 proof, please, of that?
2:24 marathon is a light session for him 😂😂😂😂😂 next level. 🐐
Yeah I follow a few elite marathoners on Strava and they will do 35k at 3:10/km and say "some laid back mileage"
Kipchoge will break the world record again and maybe, maybe under 2:00:00 or very close to it. He can do it. 😊❤
Anyone else hoping against hope that he might just dip under 2?!?!?!?!?!?
Okay ill do last out from 4 years ago !
If Kiptum was doing Berlin sub 2 would be almost inevitable from one of them but alone I see Kipchoge going low 2:01 or high 2:00 fastest. Hoping I'm wrong though and Eliud can pull it out of the bag
If his pacer can keep up a 2 hour flat marathon pace for 30km, good chance Kipchoge can take the final quarter on his own and finish under 2:01 which is likely his realistic goal. It makes a huge difference to allow someone to block the wind and set a pace for most of the marathon. There's a chance Kelvin Kiptum may just try to break the world record himself
Can't wait
If the absolutely epic water man is back I'm sure it'll be a smash
I’m just excited for bottle klaus to be back in action
I think Kipchoge will run a good race… no matter the outcome it will be his best.
Nike paying Kiptum to not compete at Berlin is a crime
Eliud Kipchoge de seguro buscara demostrar que aún es el rey !!!!! saludos!!! ya quiero ver la carrera !!!!!
A quote from The Longest Yard remake 'He is so fast, he makes others look not so fast'.
I think he's going to break his own record!
What a phenomenal athlete. It would be so great if he would be the one to break the 2 hour barrier in an official marathon.
But it will happen someday, someone like Kelvin Kiptum is only 23 and he is already setting these unbelievable times. Under 2 hours will happen.
I believe he will break his own world record
I'm doing a 1/2 mile about 3x a week 😂😂
0:43 Wison Kiprotich's 2:03:13 was also run in Berlin
Wow! You got me with all those Olympic metals from 3 decades. At 38, this gives me hope.
All we need now is a good weather on this day... and history will be made. 🇰🇪
Интрига серьезная. Спортивная старость приходит внезапно. Пришла ли она к Кипчоге в Бостоне покажет предстоящий старт в Берлине
The weather is nearly perfect... 2:00:40
Yes, he is one year older, but he has better shoes, it should be not so warm in the second half like last year... And hopefully he has pacers until 25 or 30k. Then also 2:00:20 is possible.
But... he is not limited, in a perfect race he maybe also could be under 2h 🤩
imagine your daily workouts being consistently at WR pace. thats nuts
I'm hoping to see a WR. I want to see Sub 2 and I think he is capable of it.
🎉🎉🎉
I started running 6 monthd ago , im 41. Feel in love, but so sad i didn't start when i was young instead of wasting it drinking booze 😭 my first parkrun 5k was 45 mins and thought i was going to die, a real eye opener to my fitness. I have now got it down to 22mins and run 4 days a week.
Well now he holds 5 of the 8 best times 😳😳😳
I can't see him breaking that world record!
Kipchoge wins, in 2:00:46.
Nah this bro crazy
I did 10 x 100 m intervals this morning and I might have reached Kipchoge speed in on or two of my fastest intervals.
sorry, being that slow sucks. but I'm sure you have a great personality!
@@fidru yup. My personality is the best. It is graded a ok by the national beureau of personality affairs commission.
😂 that’s a great reply
I've just started running (no, jogging) 2 weeks ago. And I'm having nasty shin splits hence I'm looking at running videos. Then I found this GOAT. Omg, i cant last a minute but this superhuman runs for 2 hours at a rapid pace 😭 Much respect. I hope I can improve my own running for fitness sake lol
if you touch the ground with your heels first, try to land with your forefoot or midfoot, that fixed my shin splits for me.
Always start slower. Try MAF method.
Kipchoge did 2:02:42, just in case if anyone else was wondering.... xD
Slow ass 😂
Well, Kipchoge's 2023 Berlin performance certainly answers those "questions", wouldn't you say?
When are we going to get a breakdown of Athing Mu's latest race?
so refreshing to watch this video after knowing that Kipchoge won Berlin for the 5th time
Bro is the actual definition of "built different"
Let's hope that the weather will not be too hot ,but a bit cold for the Berlin Marathon. This year is the hotest year registered by mankind. And the winter in th South hemispheric was up + 15 °C higher then usual ... I have used shorts in monst days this winter ...
He said a max of 20 degrees will be fine
Maybe you just have very hairy legs, so you don't need long pants.
Where can i watch online this sunday?
Flo sports
Has anybody else seen the docu on his water guy. Hopefully hes still got the job
These people are superhuman. You KNOW running hurts them too, but they muscle through it.
Hopefully the pacers will be fast and stay for many km
Good pacers make a huge difference. That's why the top female racers will have a male pacer literally until the final sprint to let them let loose
@stevelau7694 yeah, indeed after they drop around 25/30 km the race change completely especially if he is by himself, that's why it's a pity there isn't kiptum, they should gather all the best in a race like that and see what happens
Hmmm, a race where all the best racers compete. I wish they had that too. Oh well.
On a separate note, I'm looking forward to the Olympic marathon next year. Should be a great race.
😉
Kiptum is the future
more excited at the return of BOTTLE KLAUS
Your poll should have had *Under 2 Hours* as an option.
I think he will break 2:00, sure would be great to see.
Do you have news of Jacob KIPLIMO been Pace maker?
I like your videos a lot but it would really help me if the pace was also shown in Kilometers per hour. As a super casual runner I don't have any intuition on how fast 2:55/kilometer is
4:00 / Km is 15 Km / h
3:30 / Km is 17 Km / h
3:00 / Km is 20 Km / h
2:55 / Km is www.omnicalculator.com/sports/marathon-pace
2:50 / Km is 21.098 Km / h
2:30 / Km is 24 Km / h
It’s fast lol
These speed conversions are fairly easy to remember (and calculate) and should be able to give you rough speed estimates for paces for everything from the elite to amateurs.
2 min/km = 30 km/h
3 min/km = 20 km/h
4 min/km = 15 km/h
5 min/km = 12 km/h
6 min/km = 10 km/h
Another way to think about it for the elite is that a HM is 21.1k and is run at slightly under an hour so the speed is slightly above 21.1 km/h. A marathon is run at slightly above 2 hours, so speed is slightly below 21.1 km/h.
With these rules you know that 2:55/km is faster than 20 km/h (less than 3 min/km), but slower than 21.1 km/h (marathon time >2h). It's actually around 20.6 km/h so our estimate was fairly good.
Kipchoge marathon pace is around 21kmph (21kmph x 2 hours) = 42km in 2 hours
Divide kilometer by 0.6237...end of story. OR to convert mile pace to kilometer pace, just multiply mile pace times .6237. Take 1 mile (1609.47 meters) and anyone can do the math make conversions.
1:59:59 - The greatest Sporting Achievement Ever by any professional athlete.
nah
Nope, he didn`t but think of what could have happened with the new Adidas Evo Pro 1 Shoes 😂 (btw. was there, did a new PB, great Race!)
Sub 5 min miles for an entire marathon? That is just mind blowing to me
Not just "sub"...WAY faster
Sub 5 minutes for a half a mile is Bonkers 😂
Terry Fox ran a marathon every day on one leg.
Boston has a really unique course Its the only marathon major that is an unnofficial world record*..
true runners are comrade marathoners
Looks like he is 70 years old. Running a lot ages you
He’s 44 not 38 the Kenyans are notorious for lying about their age to get into races when they’re younger
So basically to be the best long distance runner you need to train long distance but being a amateur runner myself running 4:30 mile even for 1 mile is extremely difficult so to be able to do that over 26 miles it literally doesnt seem possible.
and THAT IS the difference...he ain't no AMATEUR!!!!!!!!!!
They’re legit aliens 👽
Who's running this adidas marathon in the new adidas pro evo 1?
This guy is able to finish sub 2 hours and he proved it already. I think he is saving this time for the NY major.🎉
Newyork is the least likely to break a record, if you understand distance running you would know in Newyork you would never break a record
Only ever ran one marathon in my prime, and was proud of my time. His zero effort 40K workout is faster than that 🤣
The GOAT is now to ole. Sorry. He made two hours possible, but it will be done by a younger guy.
Surely he could run a mere 2.5 seconds faster per mile and beat the 2 hour mark!!!
Even 1 second per kilometre is a big difference at that level. It's literally pushing the boundaries of human physiology
Doesnt seem that long ago that Wilson Kipsang broke the WR. Now he's almost out of the top 20 best times. Absolutely wild progression in the mens marathon
2 hours 42 seconds
Kiptum the new champ 2:00:35
I wouldn’t read too much into his Boston performance. It was super chilly with big, fat gobs of rain drops, not exactly conditions anyone trains for.
must be cranking up the doses
Kipchoge wants sub 2, nothing else.
Does he have Strava
He does but he doesn't post anything on it
What did Eliud do after the marathon?
He kept jogging...
Kiptum’s eyes are so red….
As a cyclist, it’s quite normal
Under 2:0:30
👍💯💓👌
question: Is that genetics or training ?
Both
Unfortunately, I think he is not capable of breaking 2:02 any more.
He did last year, you don’t suddenly age in 12 months lol
@@ethicalvegan4852he didn’t this year and probably won’t ever again. 12 months makes a huge difference when you’re past 30
Who holds the record for the fastest marathon in non-carbon shoes. Asking for a friend.
Dennis Kimeto 2:02:57 in 2014
But you can use the before thing with many advancements in things
🤎🤍
Why is everyone blind to the competition that can put strangle hold on a fast pace any number of runners can not only run with kipchoge but can beat him just like Boston
I thought kipchoge went sub-2 hour marathon? Or does it not count
Not count
I couldnt even handle all that eating he has to do
Friendly reminder that Kiptum is almost certainly doping.
Big claim, what makes you say that?
Guarantee that the majority of elite athletes are. I wouldn't be surprised if Kipchoge was as well. It doesn't necessarily have to be for performance (though you're gonna get performance gains regardless) but for quick recovery so you can train more
@@the4fibs832He came from nowhere and demolished the competition at 21yo... Either he's a genetic freak above all genetic freaks, or he's pumped full of PEDs
I am sorry to say but Eulid is easily the most suspicious athlete ever! More than Bonds, way more than Lance Armstrong. No athlete in ANY sport has come close to doing what he has done for nearly 20 years! NO ONE!!!!@@rusty9514
How much does he weigh? 90ibs 😅
Anyone watching this after Chicago WR?😅
video is all kilometers but thumbnail is miles, what up with that?
How can a human body withstand so much training stress?
Kipchoge is the baddest man on the planet. Tyson Fury is second
imo he is past his prime
He’s 44 not 38 he lied about his age
Kiptum will win Berlin tomorrow.
He’s not running
Well he won.
im not gonna waste 10-min on this..like all boxing champinnship fites-their blood is randomly checked-not buen it!!!
