- Apple's Watch lineup this year includes the 49mm Ultra, 45mm Series 8 and 41mm Series 8.
I'm curious to know how they fit, so I picked up all sizes and tested them every day for 2 weeks.
In this video, I compare how they look on my wrist and talk about my real-world experiences using them.

Finally some helpful videos about size of watches
I found your video very helpful. Your comments on measurements and how the size affects everyday use where exactly what I was looking for. Great job!! Thank you
Well done. Bringing up the larger size and how it can impede clothing is something I am very familiar with but not considered when looking at the series 8 and the Ultra. For me, this is a very good point.
Very refreshing review. Covering the things that matter instead of saying the same thing as other reviewer out there. 2 thumbs up.
Best review on size comparison on the internet. You helped me make a choice.
I purchased the Series 8 45 mm and even though I have a small wrist I thought it was going to look to big, because I previously had the Series 3 38 mm, it looks great on. I just got it earlier today in the mail and already love it.
Yeah, I think it looks a lot bigger in videos. I’ve had a Series 3 42mm for 3 years now and I think its size is perfect. I don’t like how small the 41mm looks in the new ones, and I think 45 is just a tiny bit too big, but the 41 is just too small.
This is the best explanation I've see about these watches! Thank you so much!
This video is excellent! Great comparison of sizes!! Thanks dude
Was really glad when I heard your wrist was 160mm too haha, made it easy to decide.
You're handsome and the ultra fits you well even though it is a big watch.
All the best to you bro and thanks for the video
This video was amazing thank you for your help! I recently upgraded and was conflicted on what size screen. I do agree that the watch itself is still a little too bulky. In my experience the factory band is high quality but too wide for my wrist. I always have to get a band that is a bit slimmer.
Super helpful even for older AW since you show actual dimensions in the video. Thanks!
Very well Articulated Video with Wrist Measurement Insights! Thankyou so much! 🙌🏻👏🏻
Love this video, sir 🏆 Thank you for posting. Super detailed & helpful. Perfect editing ⭐️
I’m trying to buy my very first Apple Watch online and I don’t want to deal with any salespeople. This video is incredibly informative. Keep up the awesome vids 🫡
Thanks for this wonderful video sir. Watched your video for the first time and I am speechless.
This was very helpful as I am trying to replace my watch. Thanks!
Thank you so much ❤❤❤ finally someone made perfect video
I have little regret of ordering 41mm but you cleared my doubt. Thanks a lot!!
Thank you for making it easy to decide what size is better for my wrist. I have a small wrist 15.7cm. Will go with smaller. Still deciding which colour will suit my skin colour( wheatish). I like go with something which looks more formal.
It's the first video of you I've watched, it was suggested by CZcams, I like your analysis and I'm agree with you about the size question. I have a Garmin 55 since 2 weeks, it's nice but the screen is awful compared to a smartwatch, I'm interested into the Apple Watch (series 9 when it will be out).
You British accent is very clear even for a non-native speaker like me so I will definitely watch other videos of your channel
I have a 170mm (17cm) wrist and still love the AWU. The smaller versions were too small. 45mm & up for me
So, my 41mm comes today, noticed the Ultra dropped by £180 in the UK yesterday. Like you, I have small wrists, I only want it for trail running and the music. So, now thinking I will keep the 41mm, fit and comfort are important factors, alongside features.
Very helpful, thank you so much 🥳👍🏻
the video i've been waiting for!!!
😎
Good technical information with respect to dimensions. thanks
many thanks, this video help me for my choise
helpfull video thanks, didnt realize the the screen bezel on the ultra was so bad, the curved glass on the original makes it less noticeable and just seems to fade away
Super helpful video, especially the size comparison. I to have small wrist (around the 160mm-165mm in size so pretty much the exact size of your wrists). I must admit earlier on with the Apple Watch Ultra when I seen them on videos I thought they looked ridiculous on small wrists, but as time went on, they have certainly grown on me, to the point where I am probably going to order the Apple Watch Ultra next time they are updated. I expect the size difference on how it looked and feels on my wrist, after a few days of wearing it, I would be used with it, and not really notice how large it looked on my wrist anymore.
Did you get the ultra 2 ?
@@ninja0147 Yes.
Thank you. Appreciate your efforts.
Solid helpful content.
Great video. Same size wrist as yours. I think the 45mm is the right size, the Ultra is just too big. Hope apple will release a smaller ultra next year.
So helpful, thank you!!
Excellent video. Thank you.
13 mini + 41mm is the best combo ever
Thank you for the video!
Im getting the Apple Watch Ultra with yellow ocean band in a few months
Very useful, thank u so much
Very helpful!!❤
Thank you brother!!
Also as well, if you are someone who goes with the stainless steel larger size Apple Watch, there is only around a £70 difference in price, which isn't a lot when you think what you are getting extra for that £70 with the Ultra.
(very) helpful. Thank you
I bought the ultra and it’s an amazing smart watch, but my love for mechanical watches trumps it. If the ultra was my only timepiece, it’s perfect. Since I have many timepieces I’d rather wear, I’m getting rid of the ultra and deciding which series 8 variation to buy to wear on my non dominant wrist to keep all the features it offers. I have a 7.5” (190mm) wrist size and I can’t decide which to go with. I think maybe the 41mm is the option to pick since I want it to not draw attention.
I also ordered the Ultra (still in shipping) to be my „only“ watch. However, since I have several mechanical watches of Rolex, Panerai and Co, I really think about sending the Ultra back without even opening it and order a 40mm black SE instead to wear it on the other wrist.
Epic video 👍🏾
Great preso!
thanks! i choose 41mm steel
Thank you man. I received the 41mm as a gift, but I was puzzled when I saw it was the 41mm, wanting a larger screen. My wrist is 145mm so, after your video I think the one I have is better, especially because its thickness bothers me a bit
🧘♂️ glad to read you’re happy with it
See I find this very interesting, because although I have small wrists (around 150mm) I am 6ft 2. I previously had the space grey 40mm SE and recently upgraded to the silver 45mm S8. I absolutely love the bigger screen, as I think it looks much more proportioned on me due to my height. It’s super comfy (especially with a sport loop) for day to day use as well as sleeping and working out. I have zero regrets about buying the bigger one as I have found it to be no bulkier than the smaller one so no trade offs really to be found so far- only positives! I would say consider not only your wrist size but also body type and work out what watch would suit you better based on that too, and always go with what one you think looks and feels best!
Nope. Bigger watch on small wrists looks ugly. Period.
00:59 Your wrist size is around 6.75 inches or 170 mm. How did you come up with the 160 mm?
Thanks for nice helpful video.. my wrist is 180mm better to go for 45mm or 41mm?
45
Prolly the only place focused on Apple Watches , series 7 is a better deal than 8 in my humble opinion on a side note
What do you think of series 7 vs series 9
Sir , i want to buy apple apple watch series 8 please recommend me which version should I buy , apple watch series 8 45mm GPS version or series 8 41mm GPS + cellular version please reply..
Soo I have a 177mm/7inch wrist size so what Apple Watch size would look good with that?
What size is the trail loop of ultra watch 2? S/M or M/L?
Which color do you recommend is the best one midnight/green/blue? I want dark color (if possibly can black color) but the midnight color is kinda dark blue-ish, not entirely all black, so i kinda confuse with my choice
Check out the Apple Watch colour guide on my channel
You are fantastic my friend!!! excellent job, thank you!!! I have the same hand with you and I am convinced to not buy the 45 (I wanted it but your logic prevailed for the 41 hahaha)
I bought the 45 mm hihihi and I am pleased … thank you anyway it was a very useful video
The size of the trail loop please?
Did you get the small/medium band or the medium/large band for the 41mm? Thanks
S/M
Where did you get the grey with blue and white band for the ultra 2?
It was an option for Apple Watch Ultra 1
Hello, the diameter of the wrist, right ?
This video helped me so much, but the series 7 costs a lot less, and I have a question, Blue Apple Watch series 7, or Midnight Apple Watch series 7. I will be getting this for my 10 year old son who’s favorite color is blue. Thank you.
Great idea to get it in his favourite colour. He’d love that. Also, I did an Apple Watch colour comparison video where I compare Blue and Midnight.
Thank you so much my son is going to love any color, but I guess I will get him blue since it is his favorite colour.
Sorry for disturbing you about my struggles, but what are the differences between the series 8 and the series 7? Thank you.
@@Sneaky-SSC they’re basically the same. Series 8 has a few advanced features but nothing you’d notice/use everyday. I’d recommend the Series 7 on price alone. Especially if it’s your son’s first watch.
@@Sneaky-SSC The 8 has body temperature sensors, used almost solely for tracking ovulation cycles. Also has car crash detection features.
Basically no difference at all for a ten year old boy.
If you can deal with not having an always on display go with the SE. You just need to turn your wrist to look at the time.
The additional health sensors in the S7/S8 don't work for young people, so not something worth paying for in your case.
40mm club
Sir much ❤ but band S/M Vs M/L one topic missed just last
If I were to make a video on this, what would you like to know?
@@Safwaan like u have cleared my all doubts for watch nd m going for 41mm bt now m/l is on 10 off nd my wrist size is exactly same as yours so should i go for m/l which is 10 %cheaper or s/m
And u can create a detailed video for cellular or gps only
@@dr.sachinbengal2618 if you have the same wrist size as me, I’d recommend the S/M because the larger one has too much excess strap. I’ve already created a video on GPS va Cellular you can check it out on the channel.
What’s that live wallpaper on your watch?
It’s the Playtime watch face
Sorry for asking where do I get that?
My theory is the next Ultra will be closer to 13mm thick. Which will be perfect. And the Ultra wears like a 44mm watch because it’s only 44mm wide when compared to a “real” watch that’s 49mm is a huge difference because it’s a circle and a true 49mm. Which is huge on wrist. And those titanium lugs the trail loop adds to the watch makes the watch lug to lug wear that much bigger. I assume somewhere around 52mm. If you’re going to a formal event. Wear a real watch.
Nope, it's 14.4mm
@@Optimistas777 yeah the whole theory was wrong. Not even the black like rumored. Next year I guess it is.
Hello! Silver or starlight for series 8? And which band would you choose for a daily basis? Thanks!
I vote Starlight with a velcro Sport Loop
@@Safwaan Thank you!!!
I went from a series 3 to an ultra 2, somehow the ultra 2 seems lighter and more
comfortable
4:34 what is that watch face??🤔
my wrist is 16.5 cm is it ok if i buy 44 mm?
I have the same size and went for the 41
I don’t care what is acceptable in society, I’m going with comfort and what I think looks good so went with 41mm.
I love how people complain how the series 8 45mm is to big for there wrist and not complain how big the ultra is 💀
you missed about those who has 170 to 180 mm !!!!
It’s not clear cut! But you could get away with sizes on either side.
I actually see a lot of petite women wearing the ultra watches
Apple wants to sell watches. 49mm is way too small for anything close to a 49mm watch. Looks ridiculous on anyone with a wrist really smaller than around 7 inches.
Jesus, now I'm even more unsure. There's simply no way around the fact that Apple has to bring an awesome upgrade with the Apple Watch X. Or they'll bring out the Ultra 3 as a "mini" too. My 1st Gen SE needs a worthy successor and as a runner I'm really not happy with the battery life and the missing action button. 😂
No. If you can afford it, definitely go for the Ultra, unless your wrist is smaller than 5.5 inches (140mm).
People forget that these aren't watches, they're modern devices with almost everything, with cellular, independent communication devices.
I've been using Ultra for 2 weeks now, it's perfect for both women and men alike, with wrists around 5.5 inches and above. If you thought the Ultra looked large on your wrist, that's because you're probably used to smaller, ugly ones.
What are those🤣😂? Why u wear tv bro🤣🤭? Is that a little bit of stretch of imagination.
I sent my Ultra back. You can wear the Series 8 24/7!
The Ultra not!
Stupid hype on CZcams!
Oh it's new - oh how great! That it is way too big and heavy, no one says here!
It can't be worn 24/7. Sleep recording is totally uncomfortable with the Ultra.
When training in the gym, the Ultra disturbs normal exercises.
You hardly notice the Series 8. It is half the weight and also smaller.
That’s good to know.
