  • Abhinandan Sridhar spends a day at the Human Library in Hyderabad, where people can sign up as 'books' and people can sign up to 'read them' by having conversations with them. Each 'book' is a person who has faced adversity in their life and they share their story through conversations with the readers. Abhinandan immerses himself in this experience and tries to become a 'book' himself.

This is one of the best ideas I have EVER seen. I wish there was more information about the group/organization because I want to bring those concepts to the local organizations I participate with.... I guess Google will be my best friend today. Thank you so much for sharing this video!

"THE HUMAN LIBRARY" should be Global Project to make World better place, not just inspire or motivate many people but help avoid mistake in our life from other experience. We can make good friends and good community as well👍

The Human Library is not affordable for everyone. You were so thoughtful to say that it would be lovely if we would do it under a banyan tree.....it would be great that people will come in contact with other people and with nature too( which lacks in today's society) and it would be affordable for a lot of people too. It feels so sad that today, everything is so unaffordable. Unlike European countries who have a a good GDP and can open hi-tech human libraries, india has a low GDP and needs to be aware that we should make libraries as per our economic status
    (In my opinion)

Every living human being is full of ideas, achievements, cherished dreams, fantasies, longings, unfulfilled projects. Sharing such plethora of items with unknown persons will certainly be useful for the listeners as also provide a channelled outlet to the concerned person ( read a human book ). 👌👌👍👍

This is absolutely genious. In a scenario that this sparks up in more places, i feel it would be a requirement to come in with an entirely open mind just like you would with a book. I only say this because of those who may potentially take others words too seriously or find some things "offensive" when in all reality its the whole point, to see the views of anothers and absorb and take in the information and see a different perspective of life.
Honestly I would attend to listen. Only because its quite interesting

Talk to your friend, talk to your colleagues, talk to your neighbor, even if why not talk to your sells person who selling groceries near you? Every person has their own unique experience. Their struggle, their pain, their joy, their success, each has an uniqueness. Some may have face same incidents in life but their decision or choices to face that weren't same (I bet)....but no, we're millennials, will do innovative things. What type of innovation? Making a library to tell stories and listen to them. Oh, and also pay for it. What an IDEA 👏👏👌

This is a great initiative.. however at 2.31 min of the video you are talking about judging some one and interviewing to be a book .. isn’t the human book a concept of coming together and listening to someone’s hardships and experiences so you drop the hat of judgments.. either be it judging others or judging self ? How can one judge others experiences of life ? Smthing to think about ..probably there should be a diff process of screening?

Saari baat ye h.. jisko bakchodi aati h.. ho gyaan baat skta h.. and the one who are judging are nothing just some guys with a concept who are anyhow judging who can make them money and who can’t. These guys with mid age are just telling their bad phase of life.. and some idiots who don’t want to try anything are getting motivated in a asshole manner.
