    Hey man I appreciate this . I ordered the ice maker kit and it arrived today . The kit in question cost $240 . Woke up this morning to this video and called Samsung where they created a ticket . Samsung says it's free no charge and a 3rd party company will come out this week !!! Thank you for your vid and saving me money !! 💰

    Thank you very much for your video! I experienced this exact same issue and was going to call in a service request, but saw your viewo. I contacted Samsung and after troubleshooting over the phone, they are sending a technician out for free and no charge. A 3rd party company will be coming in a few days. Thanks again!

    Thanks for sharing this. We called the phone number you provided and the Samsung tech replaced our ice maker no questions asked. This tech was the rep for the North Texas area. He came with the correct parts and had it fixed in about an hour. Thank you!

    Thanks so much. After years of weekly ice chipping, the door stuck shut and I went to look for your steamer video to melt the ice and caught your update about “ the fix”. Samsung replaced my ice maker four years ago and it didn’t resolve the issue. I called their number and I spoke to a rep who had my info on file and a person was at my house in days. This fix seems like it will work! After two weeks ice is very cold and dry. No more shot glass of water in the morning with mold. For the others, just call them now.

    I've been dealing with this problem for years. I bought the refrigerator December 2017. I called Samsung on 04/18/22 and they will repair it for free. Thank You very much!

    This info was great. I have been struggling with my Chef's collection $5k fridge for over 4 years. I have tried replacing the ice maker, caulking the ice cabinet, adding the new clips and plastic piece and the thing still makes noise and now the ice tray is frozen in place and no ice is coming out. I just called Samsung and they said they will send someone out for free to fix it. I was literally about to go office space on this thing!! I have all of my fingers crossed that this new repair kit will actually fix it once and for all. I am so sick of living with this ice maker issue in such an expensive supposedly high end appliance. If you have a Samsung unit purchased after 2012, they will come fix it for you even if it is out of warranty!

    After doing some research and coming across your video. I called Samsung immediately and schedule an appointment. I am getting everything taken care of they already shipped the parts that they need for the local technician that will be fixing this issue.     Ah thank you for posting this, I had this issue today, I will be calling them monday hopefully they fix it for free, I have the unit from 2017... way out of warranty.

    Samsung sent a repair tech and replaced my ice maker with the repair kit that you posted. Guess what? It still frosted and stopped making ice.

    We need to make this video go Viral... So we can get this info out to as many people we can...We have suffered enough and now it's time to make Samsung pay... We need millions of Samsung icemaker owners to call this FREE REPAIR IN TO SAMSUNG... And most of all we all know to NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN after they way they have done us over the last 6 or 8 years going on 4 for me... Never Again...

    I called and supposedly my model RF27T5501SR/AA is not covered under that agreement to fix the problem for free. But get this, they offered to not charge for parts and to charge for labor. Personally I think they are lying to me, my fridge is only 3 years old and the warranty has expired. The unit was service in May 2022 for this issue and a year later May 2023 the same issue happened again. I had an extended warranty with Lowes and they came to service it this May but the tech only replaced the ice box unit which was working just fine and did not need replacement. My problem was it keeps freezing up and I can't remove the ice bucket. Today I took the bucket out to see if the issue was resolved and I saw ice forming again right under where the bucket sits. I have a call requesting to speak to a manager to see if I can get the damn thing fixed once and for all free of any charges.

      @@3rdGUMObro yeah, I researched the fridge beforehand and didn’t find anything about the ice makers. I regret not googling the right phrases. Almost $4200 with extended warranties and can’t even get ice.

    Sadly, their fix doesn't work. It will still frost and stop the ice maker. They sent a repair tech along with the ice maker fix package.
