@@jonathanmclaughlin7220 Nah it’s not a guy thing. Recent data shows that women in the new generation cheat just as much as men. Cheating isn’t a gender thing … it’s a shitty person thing… we just didn’t used to give women room to go out in the world and be shitty.
You can't have a healthy relationship without trust and respect. Cheating violates both. It's also sound to never date a cheater, because if they cheated on somebody else, then they can cheat on you.
Here's a hot take... even somebody who hasn't cheated before can still cheat on you 🤯 because cheating is like lying and speeding and drinking and any other choice human beings make. It doesn't define you as a person. There are not cheaters and non-cheaters. There are people who have cheated and those who haven't (yet). If labeling them makes you feel safer emotionally though, you do you 👍
@@rachel4339 But your actions are literally a direct reflection of your character. Someone who lies is a liar, someone who speeds is a wreck less driver. Someone who cheats is a cheater. That's not to say people don't learn and grow, of course they do. Character changes over time, but if your current behavior is one way then that's exactly who you are in the present.
@@n.c.4829 no they're not. People can make choices that are against their character. They do it all the time. Your character is a lot of things all compiled into a singular term, not just actions. It also includes morals and ethics. Guilt is a clear indicator of somebody who is a good person. Actual bad people do not feel guilt. So, did the person do something morally objectionable and then feel guilty and stop the behavior? Good person. Did they feel some guilt but kept doing it anyway? Slow learner, maybe self centered and on the wrong path, but still not a bad person. No remorse and no change in behavior? Bad person. Labeling people based on a singular bad decision does not solve any problems. It doesn't teach compassion. Patience. Understanding. You know, all the traits that *loving* people have. Good people forgive others. Smart people recognize that sexual promiscuity is not a black and white topic of good vs evil, but a discussion of the human condition. So, no... character is not simply your actions. It is an ever changing and complex aspect of personality, that may or may not be reflected in your words and actions.

“What were you thinking? It’s silly you thought you might find someone better than me” doesn’t seem like something a low self esteemed person would say…
It’s called being confident in yourself and putting your value above anything. When someone cheats it doesn’t make you’re less valuable, it doesn’t mean they don’t respect you. It means that there is something wrong with them, emotionally, mentally, whatever it is. Therefore, yeah it is sad when they cheat because they don’t know how to be in a normal healthy relationship without seeking validation else where.
@History Aesthetics there are many people who have cheated in relationships yet the relationship has continued, I’m not saying cheating isn’t a reasonable excuse to end a relationship, but what I am saying is working to get past the mistake one person in the relationship makes shows complete dedication to the one they love.

@@jonathanmclaughlin7220 Lol. You literally just proved my point. You went out looking for "something different". Apparently the one you "wanted" wasn't enough to make you stay. So she should have left at the first sign you cheated instead of wasting her time...

@@rachel4339 if they did it once 10 years ago theyre not a cheater. If they did it this year you dont know yet if theyre a cheater. If you were under 25 and it was a decade ago i'll give it a pass. If its current im not gonna stick around while you finish growing up.
