Nas is lyrical, pac is heartfelt. Reason pac is the most loved rapper ever is because he could touch your soul with simplicity rather than you having to decipher what he meant.
Don't get me wrong, technical lyricism is a huge part of hip hop, lots and lots of rappers had that aspect. Only one had top notch charisma, realness and delivery all in one....that's PAC.
Best voice ever in rap. Period.

@ 7:20 ... You NAILED IT! It was all about PAC's delivery! PAC really knew how to place emphasis on certain words, that way you really felt what he was trying to get across. When he put together his songs, it was always a marriage between the beat and the lyrics. His songs were so layered; he had the beat playing in the foreground, one in the back, his foreground lyrics and him talking in the background to flesh out the song.

The way you reacted to this song 25 years later imagine how me and all of us who live through all of this and hearing and seeing pac in real time, this album was the first album he didn't promote and was not in any of the videos and once he released dear mama as the first single off the Album it was the number one song of the year Album went double platinum and dear mama became the mothers day anthem, here is this 23 year old black kid who is being watched targeted and scrutinize and he writes and recordes an open letter to his mother to the public ,he wrote the song 6- 6:30 in the morning and he called his mother and sang the song to her over the phone to make sure she would be okay with it and she said she would so proud of him ,that's why people like to try to compare Eminem Hailey song about his daughter its not the same Eminem made his wife Kim and his daughter a public issue, and then as he got older and went through all the things he accused his mother and wife of doing he became a no relevant people try to forget his bad attempt at his version of dear mama ,no one talks about it because it was trash i tell people this all the time you can like him but you must remember his fan base are all 20 to 25 years younger than him Eminem is of my generation he is 48 years old he is real good at shock and ah, if you are a street kid, or drug dealer, or one of your parents are on drugs, drugs, not what you get from the drugstore, when one of your parents are selling your stuff or some guys in your neighborhood has your mother working for him or your sister, or if you are young black Hispanic, he can't speak to you because no matter how hard he thinks his up bringing was he never been called a minority he doesn't and can't understand what it is like he can be friends with and all his friends be black but he is still not the same as them for the last 20 years he has been taking about killing his wife and nobody cared he is going through a phase, Royse said it best when he first went on tour with Eminem and he seen all these 15 to 18 year old white kids and Royse said he didn't get it he said my friends from were im from they don't listen to Eminem because he doesn't speak to them and they don't relate to what he is talking about

This is how me against the world Album start its the first song, the song is Album was the beginning of this transcend beyond hip hop and rap music the part people always forget he was only 23 when he did all of this he turned 24 while he was in jail ,this is what know other rappers could do he goes places and speaks to and about things that no one whats to talk about and he is very blunt and direct ,people forget he writes poetry he is also very good at spoken words and he knows how to translate the English language and so many ways and the most important part people forget his voice he raps and speaks from his stomach so his words are the most impactful Eminem said it best you hear all of us but Tupac was and is the only one you feel him when he speaks it the way you feel while you are listening its hard to explain and the beat amplifying his words and his voice changing the song as the song goes on

You got to remember he watched his whole imitated family were even imprisoned of banned from the country so he witnessed this his whole life so the moment he mad a record he became a target because of his family and what he was saying, that when he said he takes care of his whole family he became the new way to fight against the system and enlighten his people ,that's pacs biggest difference he used hip hop and rap to spread the message and reach his people .no other artists or rapper ever talking about the youth or others that are struggling in life no they got you all concerned about lyricism and flows you never talk about what they are saying think about this it's your generation facing the world right now and none of your current artists can speak to or meet the moment because they never thought it was their place or job to represent the ones who are worse of then them in stead of every one worried about there brand don't want to offend anyone name any artists that spoke on or about politics, police brutally before the black lives matters became trendy you don't get credit for jumping on the bandwagon remember pac was doing it from day one and getting criticism from every where and you noticed no other artists in his back then was trying to add on or speak to what he was doing they all went the other way ya pacs a soldier keep up the struggle .he is the soldier while everyone is big popa,God son ,frank white, Tony Montana, every other local drug dealer or movie charter ,they want to be praised for just being rappers, but still want to be mentioned and compared to pac they don't want to have his responsibility if Tupac but they want to be on the same level you can't have it both ways he has stand up for you and everyone else he has to take all the criticism all the media circus if a young person did something like shot a cop it was because of pac no other artists gets no blame but when he died every one uses his name for their own benefit and attention my point is just this if he is over rated and not that good why are you always mentioning his name he been dead longer than most of you been alive
