it would be really interesting if you sent these items to a lab for testing, see what they're made of and how safe they actually are, especially considering the issues people have had before with extremely cheap makeup. I agree that the ones purporting to be another brand and making counterfeit makeup are much more likely to have issues, but as you said, even the Claire's makeup has had problems so I wouldn't be surprised if the cheap makeup had come into contact with questionable things as a way of cutting costs.

I think from what I know, Colourpop is safe? It's also vegan. It's not CHEAP cheap, but it's a good price for good makeup. It's made in California (despite the British spelling?) so I can't be too sure, I know the US doesn't outright ban asbestos... for some reason.
Juvia's Place should theoretically also be good. Their prices are also really fair but not dirt-cheap, and the coverage is better than any big names you can find (*coughs in jeffree star*). Also, Juvia's Place is a black-owned business and I've supported them since back when they only had 3 eyeshadow palettes and nothing else... I'd hate to find out their products are unsafe. :( My hopes are high though since their makeup is also vegan and I've never had a problem with them.
I only mention these two because they're all I use. Sometimes E.L.F. too but only for eyeliner lol, it's just so much more affordable. If my two favorite businesses are unsafe I'll be sad but like... I can live without makeup lol, if it's not my makeup era it's just not my makeup era.
Love that idea but I wouldn’t be shocked if the companies try to sue her afterwards if any of the tests come up with something serious
@@musicalprodigy126 they wouldn't have anything to stand on if they tried to sue her - the only issue would be if she said that there were dangerous ingredients without proof. With proof, they can't sue her for defamation or for slander/libel (depending on how she said it) because it's true and truth is not defamation/slander/libel and cannot be sued over. The best bet would be to test it multiple times at different labs to confirm it wasn't a false positive or negative and then say. But saying it is protected and important information for the public's benefit and cannot be sued over.
@@nomoretwitterhandlesso you don’t actually know if they’re ‘safe’, they’re just the brands you use. Colourpop and JP may not be harmful, but they both have some sketchy business practices, might wanna look into it a bit further.
Sometimes when you buy things on walmart it's sold by individual people. You could be sold left over make up. If it doesn't say sent by walmart, it's not walmart. Even the listings sound like they are sold on wish.

You're right! I have a hard time trusting Walmart. They acquired an e-retailer in India called Flipkart and since then it's also been scammy and weird.

That Miss Rose Foundation is one of my favourite Foundation that I use all the time it's so fantastic to see foreign youtuber using a product that I can get and I can use as i live in an East Asian country and that Foundation is amazing Mia keep using it 💜💖

You should try Miss A!!! I’m obsessed and order from them all the time. A couple of the products I love is their beauty blenders, paw paw liquid concealer A+ liquid liner and makeup remover cloths

I love my missA! For someone severely allergic to a lot of things, the fact that it is affordable AND does not make me break out in hives is so awesome.
So many of their AOA Studio products have become staples. Not even just their makeup, like their large canvas bags are useful for everything! They've lasted me years
Best blenders
I bought a lot of stocking stuffers from there this year. The scalp cleaner, velour headband to keep the hair out of the way, cute earrings, lip gloss (which I can't find anymore😩). But I also bought some fake succulents that look SO much better than anything from Dollar Tree or Walmart. I'd love more suggestions if anyone has some more favorites. I also love some of their makeup brushes!

MISS Rose makeup is actually one of my absolute treasures. I've been buying from them since before 2010 off ebay. They had the best pigment, more than MAC even. Their glitter eyeshadow, metallic eyeshadow, liners and all have never done me wrong!

Missrose is pretty famous here in Pakistan. It's a Chinese product. And thanks to our terrible economy, it is what we need. Since it really is very inexpensive and performs pretty well. The range is actually decent maybe because the yellowish/orangish undertone goes well with asian skintones.
So its target audience is Middle Eastern or Asian? Most Middle Eastern, Indian, and African people will be fall color palettes and thus warm tones.
In Hungary we have Missrose too with a wide shade range. We can puchase them in chinese shops😊
It's also a really big brand here in Brazil.
Fellow Pakistani here and yes, I would agree. Miss Rose cosmetics are actually an optimum choice because other options in that price range include shady no name brands. I recommend Miss Rose and Rivaj to almost every local.

The concealer also had the letters A, H, I, M, G, J, and an indicator saying there were 12 total shades. what do those stand for?
Omg be super careful with that chunky glitter eyeshadow time I got one of the glitters in my eye and it was awful. I had to go to the eye doctor to get it taken out. Be careful!! Looking beautiful as always😊

Yeah I learned the hard way to be super careful with glitter near the eyes.
I remember we used glitter for school and it was spread everywhere, for days getting rid off those chunky glitters. Maybe we ate some of them too.

Flashback to being a 16 year old in Norway and we didn't have access to Mac makeup back then, but I wanted some Mac sooo badly because everyone on CZcams was using it, so imagine my excitement when I found a random website that claimed to sell Mac makeup AND shipped to Norway!
I persuaded my mom to buy some things for me which she agreed to because it was pretty cheap (foreshadowing lol) so I waited for weeks for my package to arrive, and then when it finally did, I was so happy ... until I opened it and saw what I had bought.
All the shades were weird and didn't look like the product photos at all. I spent ages determining my foundation shade from an official Mac chart online but the one I got was straight orange lmao. And it was so oily! And the lipsticks smelled strange and had a grainy texture. The foundation had a bad smell too actually.
In my heart I knew it was all fake makeup, but my craving for Mac was so strong that I wore that stuff more times than I should have :')

Honestly I feel like most of the makeup we buy actually is worth this much. I love watching Marlena’s videos about what you’re actually paying for when you buy certain makeup. Half of the time I feel like we’re just paying for the packaging and the brand name 🤷🏻♀️
I recommend you embark on a quest for the cutest makeup products. Such may include Cute Rumor and, of course Flower Knows but there are a lot more also on the high end like The History of Whoo or Florasis, Mistine, Catkins, Carslan, Art Deco, etc..
I've got a Cute Rumor lipstick and it's SO good! Not just the package is crazy adorable but the product itself is very very good

Miss Rôse is actually really famous in some parts of South America (like Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina), the make up is pretty good and quite affordable.

I was kinda shocked that not many people know about Miss Rose. I know they don't have the best shade range 😅 but I have been using their concealer and foundation for a long time and it is the best. I hope they hopefully increase their shade range but for me a bit of color corrector and I have my perfect shade 😂❤
Walmart is a 3rdparty reseller, like amazon; not everything sold on their site is available in stores, nor vetted by Walmart.
You can change the search filters to avoid 3rd parties, but something to keep in mind 😊
I would love to know how to change the filters. I have gotten burned by Temu items more than once now through Walmart!

@@andreabenosky7967 also, when you check out, there should be a part that says "shipped from a 3rd party", so if the filters aren't easy for you, the check-out process should be helpful, based on shipping. I will say, walmart did a FANTASTIC JOB hiding that fact, but I'd say a good 30-40% of their website is 3rd party sells now

PLEASE BE CAREFUL. My husband works for Walmart. He’s a team lead in money services. He told me that the Walmart website has mainly third parties. And they’re not vetted. 😂. Also he had someone come in for a return for a Xbox they got online and when they opened the box it was rocks. Someone sent the guy rocks. Not an Xbox. Please be careful. The make up could have lead or dangerous ingredients in them. And then if you buy something it could not show up, it could be used already, it could be a box with no item or literally rocks in the box.

You really should do a revisit, I started trying their products in 2018 and sooooo much has changed since then, also their house brand product line is huge compared to those days!
