    does a clutch kit basically just gear the machine down? i got the sport utility kit and i have lost about 10mph top speed. runs at 6-7000 rpm just to go about 55mph. really hard for machine to get from 60-70mph

      Depends on the the individual machine, clutch kit, tire size and type of riding. Every machine and kit is a little different. In most cases (except for mudder kits ) the top speed should stay similar to stock but you will gain more low end and midrange power, faster backshift and throttle response and grip the belt better. If you call our tech line we can get all the details and help you better. 1-218-829-6036

    If we have a stock 2014, what other wear items should I replace on this when taking it all apart? I want to only do this ONE time with your kit for 32" tires..is the helix part of the kit and should we replace any rollers etc? thanks

      The kit will have new weights, primary spring, secondary spring and helix. Inspect your primary clutch good because the primary wear out fast on your models. Other then that check the rollers in the secondary and replace if needed and a new belt and you shoudl be good to go.

    Hey this is a very good video and we'll detailed but I got a couple of questions I have a 2016 xp1k, is the process the same and which kit do I get I have 29s now but want to go up to a 30 in the future

      Hello - The 2016 used a different clutch kit then the 2014 and 2015. The 2016 has a different secondary clutch. The process is pretty much the same except for there is no snap ring that holds the secondary spring into the clutch, so when you remove the helix you have to use a compression tool to hold the helix down so you can remove the four bolts and then slowly let the spring out of the clutch. You can go to out website www.epiperformance.com and watch the video for the new 1000 General and that will show you the new procedure. Depending on how you ride and when you plan on changing tires you can to the Sport Utility kit for the 30-32 tires and it will work great for when you go to 30's. But you might hit the rev limiter at full throttle with the stock tires. The difference in the kits is the set of the weights. So instead of buying to separate kits you could buy one kit and one set of weights separately. Hope that helps let us know if you have any questions.

    Nice tutorial! I'm a complete novice and new RZR 900 EPS Trail owner. With 10 hours, I am getting a low-rpm dinging-ringing that goes away with more rpm and speed. Should I head back to the dealer? Your thoughts appreciated.

      +Sting Flight I would bring it back to the dealer. At only 10 hours you shouldn't have any issues and everything should be running the same as it did when it was new. You can put the machine in neutral and slowly rev it up and see if you hear the same thing, that will help pin point where the problem is coming from.

      It was a fried Polaris belt, likely from the kids working at the dealership who thrive on starting them up cold--then "romping" out to the spot along the road where they display them all day. I dropped in a new Gates belt and everything has been hunky dory for 25 hours now. Tomorrow I do the 25-hr maintenance.

    on the primary bushing is it supposed to have the crack is this where the end meet? or is my bushing toast?

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  Před 7 lety

      Both bushings will have one straight line going through it. So as long as it is just one and its a straight line you should be alright.

    What kind of kit so you recommend for 31" tires.?

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  Před 6 lety

      Depends on your tires and what type of riding your doing and what machine you have. For example if you have the 1000 RZR XP you use the Sport Utility Kit for 30-32" tires for the best all around performance or you can use the Mudder kit for 30-34" tires if you have hearvier more agrressive tires and want even more bottom end power. You can find a lot more info on our website www.epiperformance.com

    can i put that cooler system on im 2012 polaris 900xp ?

    • @EPIperformance
      @EPIperformance  Před 9 lety +1

      Ernesto Chamorro C Im not sure if the clutch covers would fit on the 900 RZR. You could see of your local dealer can call Polaris and find out or you might be able to find someone else online that has tried it. If it doesn't work you can always add a bilage fan to push more air in and also can install one to suck more air out for maximum cooling.
