- This Galaxie is such a great build, the motor alone is pure muscle with a 520 cubic inch big block putting out 750 horsepower and the weld wheels with skinny tires up front really make this a cool car so sit back and enjoy the ride..

I'm 70 years old. When I was a kid the hottest car in our neighborhood was 65 Galaxie 500.
Richard Larson !! My 70 year old brother terrorized the streets in his ‘63 390c.i.
My mom had a white '65 Galaxie, a four door with a 289. I missed a stop sign one evening and it was totalled. Luckily, no one was badly hurt.
Working on putting the 65' LTD HT back on the road in my pfp. First project, but I love the car
@@quikgt I’m sorry but a 390 doesn’t terrorize anything then or now.
it's got "the look", "the sound", and the horsepower!
It sure does brother.
Never get tired of the sound of a big block. Thanks
Thats one badass 63 Ford Galaxie 500 and 750 HP 520 Ford Big Block sounds nasty brother.
710 on pump gas with 10:1 compression is rip-snorting beastmode. Love the color choice.
720!
Whst is pump gas. Here we have 98 finnish✌️

Love Nick’s car. Glad he got on the show!
Love these early 60's Galaxies. This one's Sick!
Love a guy like this who can tell you about every inch of his car because HE built it!!! Awesome Galaxy!
He built everything on here and loves driving it
Always loved that body style. Pure beast. This is so f-ing tastefully done i bow my head with respect.
I remember when these came out as '63'1/2 Fords. That struck me as sort of strange but when I saw the car, I was a believer as the styling of the fastback was a great move on Ford's part. It was big, sexy, and had plenty of room under the hood. I still love the sleekness of the car. I've built several 460's but never one that made that kind of ponies. I'd love to drive that baby.
What a car! Nick such a nice guy, glad he really enjoys the car. Superb build, real full size badass. Glad he went with the bulletproof 460. That shot with the smoke rising from the melted rubber on the road! Btw, there is nothing NOT to like in your vids Shawn, setting, music, photography, cars, everything is just spot on.
This brings back good memories! At 17 in 1970 my first car was a one owner ladies car. '64 500 XL fastback. White over red & red interior. Big bucket seats, console & automatic on floor. 390 4 bbl. We rebuilt the engine, aluminum TRW pistons, 428 CJ "C" cam, Ford aluminum dual four intake, two 600 Holley carbs. Dual point distributor & headers. Installed a beefed C6, it would break the tires loose when it went into 2nd under partial acceleration. Loved the car! My 2nd car was a '65 square back mustang with a factory 289 hipo, but that's another story! Thanks for sharing this video, love that car, & the tear drop scoop! Came factory on T-Bolts & the other bodies with 427 hi risers! Adds to the great looks!❤ Fabulous Fords Forever!❤👍🏁
WOW!!!! A 460 Ford is the way to go. Cheap. fast horsepower!!!! That is what hot rodding is all about!!!! Great Galaxie 500, great video, and thanks for sharing!!!! You made my night!!!!
I love the Thunderbolt lookin hood....That Ford is nothin but beautiful brutality....
Agreed all the way
Quality build right there. Once you go BBF, you never go back. It's far cheaper to build than an FE. It's also MUCH stronger than an FE or BBC. I swapped in a 460 in my 68' Torino and smile like a kid, from the moment I take it out to the moment I back it into the garage.
Stronger than a FE are you nuts!!!!? There’s a good amount of folks running two spinny boys, in their Torino’s and galaxies making 800+ hp with ease, they’re still holding up stroker or no stroker.
This was the same car my dad had when I was a kid. My first memories in a car are of this car. The interior and the carpet are exactly the same. Seeing that brought back memories that I hadn't even thought of since the early 80's. Thanks for the upload.
I love the original interior and how he left it alone !!! Original interiors are beautiful! A beautiful car that looks aggressive with some stock components love it
Sparko front seats and rear seat delete? Yuck! No thanks! Agree one hundred percent. 😉✌️
Line lock @ 7:30 - this dude's wild af driver. Love it.

That punched out 385 series motor was the way to go with this build. They can make great power plus u stay all FoMoCo!
My favorite Ford by far!
The Thunder Bolt hood is a really nice touch .......... Man , what a car !
I love this one
Love this Galaxie it's so Old School Muscle.
Pure old school muscle car
What a freagin' badass build!!! All that power and no forced induction!!!! Love the stance, the tucked in wheels, stock interior, hood scoop, denim grey bumpers... Gold 🙌
I LOVE THOSE OLD FORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same for me and I love that he kept it old school
My '63 1/2 fastback from 50 years ago was not nearly what this beauty is.
I loved it anyway.
Nice work
When you look up "stance" in the dictionary there is a picture of that car... Nailed it. The exhaust note is right on. Love 63 1/2 fastback Galaxies. My folks had one that they bought brand new, the first car that I remember as a kid. Light blue with a white top, only a 260 or 289 but to a 2 or 3 year old it was too cool....
Cool story and yes on the stance. This whole build is on point
Very, very good editing and pacing in these videos. 8 minutes feels like 3.
Perfect build on this Ford! Clean.
Nice car well done, I can still see my buddies 63 Ford coming over Bridge. His was 427 I believe. Man you got to be happy camper. ENJOY!
Great build and really cool owner/builder
I think those galaxy 500 were one of the coolest cars ever made! I agree it has the “look”!
63 Galaxies are sweet rides. I was in Grade 7 when I saw my first one. A convertible that my friends father owned. In those days that was a sweet ride. I like how he’s freaking out about the stock seat belts. Our 1960 Pontiac didn’t have any seat belts.
Back in 1964 my honey and I double dated with her best friend, and her bo owned a 1963 R Code 427 Galaxy. So we’re in the backseat and he’s cruising El Cajon Blvd in San Diego looking for a street race. He got one, a 409 Chevy, and as he banged off the gears in that 427 Galaxy you could feel the torque and hp coming through the floorboard into the backseat…almost as good as, well, you know!
Almost as good for sure 😂
DAMN. that fuel pump sounds like a tornado siren. lol
You know what they say... if their fuel pump is louder than your exhaust.. you’re f****ed 😂
MONSTER! Love this stuff
Wow...that thing is beastly....absolutely love that hood scoop on them....great vid Shawn
One bad ass Galaxie, great video!
Thanks and I agree...very cool car
Hood reminds me of the thunderbolt. Another excellent watch
Yeah, he really did this one right
This is real muscle, real power as it should be. No techno rodding here. Awesome build and job. Love it.
7:10 Geezuz that's a tough sounding car.
Seriously tough
AWESOME CAR KILLER SOUND AND NICELY PUT TOGETHER
That. Is. Awesome
Performance, Sound, setup, look, build quality, and more, all spot on.
Awesome Galaxie!
Ford power all the way!
That Galaxy is built perfectly!! Beautiful build. Exactly how I would do it. Great video!!
nothing puts a smile on your face like that except for maybe sx
Shauns face and smiles says it all beautiful car!
What a perfect car. THAT is the stance (and everything else) every musclecar should have.
460 Getting It Done ! Sweet
Definitely gets it done
Super Cool...as is the '65 Coronet Hemi you featured. Wish we could see both of them duke it out!
this was one of my best cars. it had a tight front end.
Beauty. So nice and clean. I could Easily wait a year for that build.
Epic build ! Sounds wicked !
Legit my dream car build. Subscribed!
My God what a gem, poster child for all business, awesome build!
Wow what do I see a shooting star across the Galaxy🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We had a '63 Ford "Country Sedan" wagon when I was a kid. It had 260 V8 with a two barrel carburetor! Real screamer.
That Galaxie is a monster!
Loved it I had a 67 390 white with red interior Stock it was still fast but nothing like this !! Love those g forces!!
G forces make me smile everytime!!
Awesome very nice car and cool owners thanks guys
Haha dude :40 in is my theme song! Epidemic sounds FTW. Love this channel man!!
That is one Excellent Build.
And she's a Street Driven car.
Congratulations!
My Dad had a 64 galaxie that someone eventually stole out of our back yard with a wrecker truck. I remember Dad getting his pistol to go look for it.
Any happy ending?
@@MoctezumasRevenge1 nope, only memories...lol
@@calvinl9727 he never found the car?
@@MoctezumasRevenge1 I’m not sure, I think he did when he got the cops involved but because the code violation people had once put a sticker on it, he was screwed. I was about 8 or 9 so my memory might be vague..lol
Oh, btw the guy that had taken it worked for a scrapyard...
How did I miss this in January?!?!
LOVE this car!!! Mid 60 Ford in full on beast mode, Right up my alley!
One of my must haves, some days cars.
Love the old galexies
Those are such pretty cars. I remember a friend of mine, Danny Ruffalo, had one (his father’s car). We were just 12 years old, but really into cars. Danny was very proud of that car. My dad had a 64 Pontiac Parisienne convertible, white with black interior and roof and his father had a Galaxie 500 convertible in a cream colour with a white interior and roof. The Galaxie was gorgeous and had the 390 engine. Our Pontiac just had a small block. I would say that Danny easily won the bragging rights.
Excellent setup
Love the Big Cars:)
Dude that’s my all time favorite car growing up in the 60s, Fred Lorenzen number 28 Lafayette Ford Nascar, I live right around the corner where you shot this, I do my speed runs right there on Ridge route, I take that turn by Carl’s at 90 in the Fiesta ST, keep up the Rad Videos. The Fiesta Flash 🤙🏼🍺
My thoughts exactly. I always wanted to redo a 64 Galaxie as a No. 28 tribute. If this 63 was mine I would put a small No. 28 on the lower front fender.
Awesome!! Maybe one of the times we’re down there shooting we’ll meet up?
@@AutotopiaLA Awesome 949-606-2918 Mike Chavez AKA Chewy. I watch your videos every day, very in depth details on the Cars you video, and I rate your Videos by the Smile it puts on your Face. The Fiesta Flash 🤙🏼🍺
Beautiful car and another great video
What a beautiful car! And the grunt!
It would be a crime to do a shoot on this Galaxie without a Proper Burnout.
Badass Galaxie😎
Love it!
Nothing like a big block 💪💪 Long live the combustion engine. 👊👊
That’s super 🔥🔥🔥
So sick!
Blue oval power! Sweet.
Right on!
My favorite!!! Sweet car!
What a nice build!
That’s a nice sweet ride 👍
Another favorite of mine...
Same for us. Great ride
Love it!🤩
To finish the story installed the engine in my 59 Galaxie with the three speed tyranny and exploded it on the first hard launch....went to another junk yard and got all the rest of the running gear out of another wrecked R code..installed it in my folks carport.
Replaced my five spoke mags with original steel wheels, big hubcaps and a set of cheater slicks...352 valvecovers and air cleaner worked with biggest AFB carb you could buy....yes, it was a sleeper and with the column linkage still in place and a leather jacket covering the 4 sp. Shifter left a lot of Chevys wondering what just happened .
I drooled over a white 63 1/2 Galaxie fastback with black bench seats, 2,000 miles with an asking price of $2,700 sitting on a used car lot ...way out of my budget at 18 years old.
My favorite Ford car of all times
That’s awesome. Cool to see something that hasn’t been done a lot.
When I lived in NC I'm pretty sure my Dad had a Galaxie 500 in the very early 70s.
This video made for great inspiration, now I want a stupid fast lowrider just for looks and usability
Man that car is tough, love it
Very tough
Now that's one bad ass ride
That was my first car.
It was my grandfather's before it became mine in 1979.
Had the 289 under the hood and I had such great times cruising around town with her back when I was young.
I do have a soft spot for the 60s Galaxies and Fairlanes. That one just ticks all the boxes for me.
And as always, fantastic work.
Nice car, I’m a huge Galaxy fan, love the NA 460 power.
that car is absolutely awesome i love the 63 1/2
Sweet love it...
Totally enjoyed it, especially the fact that he did not change the nice lines of a beautiful car. Stance is perfect. The paint looks nice but older - which I love. Is that the case? Do you have any cool 65 Impala SS's to show :).
That’s dope!
Beautiful car
All motor 😍
That was a Badass car
In 1967 I scored a R code 427 out of a 63 1/2 Ford Galaxie that broke a rod and wrapped it around its neighbor and was wedged between the counterweight. Took it to JC engine rebuilding shop class and it became a class project.
Got two rods and pistons from junk yard
I love it! 750 makes a certain sound doesn't it!
