Great video my wife wants to stain our pool deck which was previously painted and has texture. Some of the paint has peeled away. How will this cover over the peeled paint? Should I repaint those areas and then stain it or should I have to completely grind the paint off and then stain it? Thanks!
Without looking at it i would not be able to tell you if you could get away with painting over areas that peeling without removing all the paint first. if you decide that remaining paint is in good enough condition (during power washing the remaining paint is holding well and you do not have loose paint chips) and want to paint over without removing old paint i would not recommend using stain as it is very thin and may not cover well. Deck Over paint by Behr will give you better results as it is much thicker then stain.
I purchased this and restained my knockdown texture patio which was in rough shape. It already had some sort of old stain or sealer from years ago, so I did not acid wash. The stain appears to have taken well though. What are the thoughts about sealing with a strong pool safe clear coat sealer over top of this since this is not sealer, or is it?

Never used it on pavers before but if I were, yes, I would follow the same process. I would recommend doing entire process cleaning/etching/staining on a small inconspicuous area first to see if you get the results you want.
Should you use a sealer after last coat? So many people commenting on various videos about problems with staining and being hard to clean with some coatings.
you can apply the sealer and it will be easier to maintain but the downside is when you are ready to re coat again in a few years you will need to strip the sealer, you will not be able to paint over the sealer.

I have few questions, How long did this entire process take? How long in between the two coats did you wait before applying second coat. Also What would be your price per square foot for a service just like this on a deck in the same shape? I'm breaking my way into the industry in florida and trying to get some thought from a current professional? you do good work.
We use both paint and stain depending on the specific project. Both have pros and cons. Stain. Pros: easy to apply, good per square feet coverage. Cons: Does not have heat reflective properties. Very thin and does not cover imperfections as well as paint. Paint: Acryla deck we use the most. Pros: Has cool feel technology, covers repaired areas better because it is much thicker than stain. Cons: Poor per square feet coverage, hard to apply because it is thick, more expensive than stain.

if you put the sealer you would need to remove it next time you ready to re-coat, as you can not paint over the sealer without removing it first.

I am not familiar with Porch and Floor Enamel. I would call Sherwin Williams store and ask if they think it is ok to use over your coating.

Took 1 day. About 2 hours between coats. No set price per square foot, i look at all jobs before pricing.

Is this special paint for pools? I heard the chlorine will damage regular paint.
no this is general purpose concrete stain. we used it on number of pool decks and so far had no issues with it.
