As someone who grew up with the the Attitude Era and hasn't really watched since, the Austin return during WWF v. WCW brawl being 18 is RIDICULOUS.
One of the biggest pops was when the Road warriors aka Legion of Doom came to WWF/WWE. What a rush.
That wasn't a return though, unless you mean their 1997 run.

Imho, Stone Cold's return to help Mankind win the WWF Heavyweight championship should have been the number one pop. The roar from the crowd that night was more deafening than any other pop in that list, hands down.

It's not "him using You Suck in his favor". It's the crowd that...well, let's say it's a strange way to show respect, but that's what it actually is. They are showing him respect by chanting "You Suck", because he knows why they're doing it
@4:21. I can't speak to whether or not the lightning bolts are CGI, however I can tell you that I was at Survivor Series 2005 when the Undertaker busted out of a burning casket. And I can tell you that they used real fire on that one. One of the most bad ass things I have ever seen live in any capacity.

The Rock probably had two or three of the best return pops. He disappointed every time he "came back" because he never wrestled regularly it was just a hit and run, but he was the all-time Champ on the mic. Best to ever do it.

Yes Iâve been there and the undertaker bolts of lightning are fake but them giant flairs Kane used to use on the ring post you felt that heat and it felt like your eyebrows are going to come off! Nothing more scary than when your ring side and they just blow up!

In theory it always had to be "USA", as Kurt had to be, like gimmick, an Olympic hero (and we all know that Kurt participated in the Olympics by winning the gold medal with a broken neck), but, I don't quite remember why , but when Angle did a turn heel, people start saying "You Suck" instead of "USA", in fact when Kurt is face chant it's different ... it's not "U Suck", but "USA".

Austins return at Backlash 2000 wasn't in there. The one ranked second wasn't even a return really (but it's still a helluva pop, first for Austin then it ramps even higher when Foley wins), but Backlash 2000 was his first appearance in months after the hit by a car angle. And that pop was huge, easily bigger than half the ones given.
did you know the only reason edge returned was because of a bicycle accident? when he wrecked on a mountain bile trail and his back/neck didn't hurt he went and got checked out and he was "healed"
Yes, Rey is still going! he left wwe in 2015 after his contract expired (if this is incorrect let me know) returned in 2018 and just a few weeks ago had his 20 year celebration on monday night raw.
