Joey Styles was a commentator, best know for his time with the original ECW where he usually called shows solo. He also punched out JBL on a plane ride once, i think they where flying to a Tribute to The Troops show.
Undertaker faced mankind in hell in the cell with a broken ankle. It's just incredible that he pushed through the pain, and he and mankind gave us an amazing match we'll hopefully never forget anytime soon.
Joey Styles is a legendary commentator from the original ECW. He did 99% of the shows by himself (so he did color commentary and play by play at the same time), and was known for how he said "OH MY GOD!" when something crazy happened (which was basically every match in ECW lol). But his entry here didn't do that promo justice...you definitely should go back and watch it, he said a lot of things fans were thinking at the time.
5:09 Andre was about 520 lbs. According to Hogan (take that with a grain of salt since he's known to "stretch") it was Andre's idea for Hogan to do that. Hogan wasn't so sure he could. A lot of people weren't sure if Andre could even take a body slam at that stage cause his health was in serious decline by then. 6:25 Joey Styles was the commentator in the original ECW. He was actually an excellent commentator. Did a few of their ppvs solo: I don't think anyone else has done that. To be fair, that whole rant was clearly a "worked shoot" meaning it was meant to look like he was going off script. Still it was really good. 13:50 yes it was a real snake: devenomized. It was only supposed to give him a small "nip" but it latched on and wouldn't let go. Jake even broke the 4th wall grabbing the snake by the tail and tried to pull it off. Fortunately, nothing too serious for Savage. Good thing they devenomized the snake. 14:50 Mae was actually mad at Bubba after the first powerbomb cause she said he slammed her too softly. She insisted on being slammed like "one of the boys".
Can’t remember exactly what year, but the 6-man Dudley Boys, Hardy Boys, and Edge and Christian in the first Tables,Ladders,Chairs match is my absolute favorite match of all time.
The Undertaker knew his time was just about up. He said in an interview that he talked to Vince and said that Brock was the only person left that he would be willing to take a fall for.
13:20 That was a de fanged King Cobra. And Macho Man made Jake make the snake bite him first. Because Randy wasn't stupid, and he knew what kind of snake it was.
I did the thumbtack spot way back in the day. It hurts less than you'd think. Most of them bend and the pain is so spread out for the rest that it feels like acupuncture
6:30 - This was No Way Out 2004 (the PPV before Wrestlemania 20). Brock's SSP botch was at WrestleMania 19 against Kurt Angle. Eddie successfully defended the title against Angle at WM 20).
Sadly, the reason they chose to end the streak was for 2 reasons: 1. The Undertaker himself figured that if anyone would be seen as a big enough threat, it would be Brock Lesnar. Maybe Braun Strawman, but he was way too "green", and if the payoff didn't work, it would have been a waste. Brock Lesnar continues to be a huge roadblock for superstars, and has proven his worth. He was an unstoppable force at the time, and Undertaker was only a few years away from retirement anyway. 2. Undertaker suffered a concussion in the match, which left him unable to do a lot of their planned spots; the sudden streak ending was just their way of wrapping it up so he could get medical attention. It's why he seemed so dazed, and out of it afterwards. It wasn't just him acting defeated, he was seriously hurt,
Here's the thing about that Bubba Ray powerbombing Mae Young threw a table was that Bubba didn't want to do it but Mae Young basically told him don't hold back and do it
14:44 Bubba told a story about powerbombing May Young. You have to look it up and hear it from him. I will not ruin it for anyone. Makes the look on his face so much funnier.
Pretty sure the plan for WM40 is Cody and Rollins vs. Rock and Reigns on night 1 and Cody vs. Reigns for the Universal title on night 2... If Cody and Rollins win on night 1, The Bloodline will be banned from ringside on night 2. If Rock and Reigns win on night 1, the title match will be 'Bloodline rules' or smth... So they can f around ham. :D

I love the 80’s wrestling because my grandfather loved it..I was a original Hulkmaniac, Sting & UltimateWarrior fan, but Stone Cold Steve Austin is my favorite and I based InfoWarrior on the iNCW label after.
2:10 "Before it went PG" That Mankind/Undertaker Hell in a Cell was in the Attitude Era which was tv rated PG-13. A year later, in 1999, is when WWF became a publicly traded company and went PG.
@@K-dawg26 Not even close, lol. The original ECW had a much more brutal style to it that the WWE version couldn't live up to with their lackluster roster. They literally used it as a B-Show, where it used to be a legit competitor in the hardcore wrestling scene.
Yeah, wrestlers tend to be tall! I believe the average is 6-foot-4-inches. For a couple of example, Mark Callaway (Undertaker) is 6-foot-10, and Adam Copeland (Edge) is 6-foot-5. André Roissimoff (André the Giant) was 7-foot-4, and weighed 520 pounds.
4:40 "It was obviously new" Bruh... professional wrestling has been around since the late 1800s. It started in France around 1830, when wrestlers who weren't part of the wrestling elite formed traveling troupes. In the United States, professional wrestling began in the late 1860s and 1870s, when traveling performers were paid to put on staged matches for mass entertainment.
The suplex with Shane going through the glass didn't work because they used actual glass instead of sugar glass. Resulting in Shane being dropped upside down on his head on concrete not once but twice. He was sppoused to be suplexed back through the other side but they couldn't get it to work so Kurt just hucked him through it. It got so bad Vince was in the back threatening to call off the macth
If the streak had to die (and I feel like they could have stood to let Taker retire undefeated because it was the biggest thing he was known for), they shouldn't have given it to Brock because he didn't need it. There were others who (and even Undertaker himself has said as much) could seriously have benefitted from being given that honor, such as Roman Reigns. A guy like Roman needed that kind of high-profile win far more than Lesnar as Lesnar was already a well-established name, whereas Reigns wasn't at the time.
Casuals don't know Brock is a real MMA Beast so him beating Taker and Cena made him the biggest Monster WWE has, so much so that he can go on a losing Streak but challenge for the Title the next Day and nobody would bat an eye. So I'd say they don't regret making a Megastar even if it could've been done better.
I think ending the Undertaker's WrestleMania streak needed to happen at some point. But it needed to happen against someone who would benefit the most from it. Brock Lesnar was definitely the wrong person to end it with.
I think it was great that Brock Lesnar broke the streak. Sure it was sad when it happened, but it shows his career accolades range further than championship gold. (Technically Roman ended the streak now bc Brock Lesnar doesn’t exist anymore)
I disagree with numbers 2 and 1. Number 1 should of been placed at 2, while the new number 1 should of been The Rock vs Mick Foley in the infamous I Quit match those unprotected chair shots Mick Foley took was definitely more wild than Takers streak ending
With what's come out about Vince and Lesnar, yeah I say WWE regrets it. Not retiring the streak would been a good way to do it. But if they was gonna do, WWE should picked Roman not Brock.
The problem I have with ending the streak. Was Brock wasn’t going to stay with the company. Everyone knew it. If they had someone who was going to stay at least a while then okay. That makes the company and the stories better. Brock coming in winning and then leaving. Why.
I feel like it was the right call to end the streak at Wrestlemania 30. I think it propelled Brock into this monster heel that dominated for the remained of the 2010s before Roman Reigns began the Tribal Chief run and I think WWE in the modern day works best when there is that major heel that seems to be unbeatable, whether it's through brute force like Brock, the numbers game like Roman or appearing cowardly but somehow finding ways to keep on winning like Seth Rollins did during his Authority Run. On the other hand though, I feel like the streak should've never been broken and Undertaker should've retired, unbeaten at Wrestlemania, especially with hindsight and seeing how his matches with Bray Wyatt, Shane McMahon, Roman Reigns and John Cena didn't really have any weight to them, I will give the AJ Styles match it's due for being a good sendoff to Undertaker but the streak being broken definitely made Wrestlemania feel just a little less important.
Despite Assassins Creed trust me as a farm kid hay doesn't have anywhere near as much give as you think k so the Rikishi off the cell spot definitely hurt.. not as much as Foley off the cell but it was not a comfortable landing
My prediction for WrestleMania, Cody and Seth win the night 1 tag team to remove Bloodline from the night 2 match. However, Seth will betray Cody on night 2 and be the reason Roman wins. That's not what I hope happens, but it is what I think will happen.
I hate when people say oh how could've it gone from this to the pg era......times change you really think tv networks would still give them a TV contract with some of the things they got away with back then you have to be smart and evolve and wwe did
The Undertaker lost to Brock because Paul Hayman was his manager and he calls a lot of the shots. Which is why Roman Reigns is going to become the longest undefeated WWE champion. I am disappointed
I feel that there’s a lot of signs that the rock and Cody are going to trick Roman reigns. I think this Friday on SmackDown they set up the tag team match between the rock Roman against Cody and Seth freaking Rollins and if the rock and Roman loses and Cody gets to fight at wrestlemania with the bloodline are banned from the match, and I believe that this is been a set up between the rock and Cody from the very beginning when the rock came in and whispered into Cody‘s ear
The problem with the streak in my mind was who ended the streak. Streaks have to end, that's kind of the point of them, to see who can end it, in this case I think what upset most, was who did it. The kind of endorsement you could receive by doing so shouldve gone to someone who was being built, someone who could use that kind of momentum to push them to the moon.
It would have been an insane amount of pressure to put on someone. Supposedly they had considered having Orton and Kurt Angle end the streak before but they both refused out of respect for Taker.
@@marcpower4167 Which I do understad the pressure that would've gone with it. For me, I would have done AJ Styles Cinematic match first have him lose, build that steam and anger for Taker then the net year have him beat Taker. Yes, Aj is a legit star but they always make it point to talk about his Indie upbringing, the star from the outside. I think the momentum from beating Taker wouldve solidify, just how great he actually is and help people better understand his level even being an outsider. Like they started this with his feud with Cena and Orton, but it never went anywhere afterwards. Don't think others would agree with me but this is just my humble opinion.
Sadest part of the streak was it should not have gone as long as it did. You had top tier talent that they wanted to push over and the superstar said no. If I remember, I think and f5 actually concussed Taker. He was supposed to win that match and Lesnar winning was a last minute decision. Really edge or Orton should have ended it. Maybe if Punk had that title of ending the streak he wouldn't have left and bad mouthed the company. Was it cool to see something grow to that size, Hell yeah but by the time Lesnar was going at it, bro Undertaker should have just retired before the match. No offense but to old to be playing in the field anymore. We can at least say undertaker was an anomaly for big dudes in the ring, however there were many moments before the big shocker at 21 that could have cemented it in stone, however they didn't.
Well, I think on night, one Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins team up and lose to The Rock & Roman Reigns and the situation would be if Seth and Cody win then The bloodline is banned from Cody vs. Roman on night two But the bloodline wins on night one and I made two when solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso try to interfere on behalf of Reigns I see one of two things happening, and my first is that the rock turns on Roman reigns antietam with a rock bottom and the peoples elbow and then Cody Rhodes will hit two or three crossrhodes on reigns and he will pin Roman reigns, one, two, and three and become the undisputed WWE universal champion, but he will get rid of the universal championship and bring back the WWE championship or the rock, Jimmy, Uso, and solo Sikoa all try to interfere on Roman reigns behalf only for Jey uso, Sami Zayn, and I think the surprise return of one Stone Cold Steve Austin or another wrestler that has had issues with the bloodline, and those three will counteract the rest of the bloodline in with all of the distraction. Cody Rhodes will hit somewhere between 2-4 crossrhodes finishing moves and he will pin Roman reigns and become champion and since the tribal chief/head of the table fails at wrestlemania & can’t get job done all of the rest of the bloodline will turn on him, which will either turn all of them into baby faces, or they will stay heel and it will make Roman reigns look like a baby face, or at the very least Tweener

the moment that WWE went PG is when they killed it for me, it was fine back in the 80's before the Attitude Era, but then they trying to backpedal when it was over,,, naw man... just keep it for adults and teens, back up on the edgy stuff a little bit if you want, but trying to go back to PG just ruins the appeal, and the numbers support every word i am saying.

Well Adam I know one thing for sure. I’ll befuddled by a handsome man
Andre was 520 pounds
Taker should have retired undefeated!
well they certainly regret is now after undertaker is still good block is toxic
I believe rock will backstab Roman
Brock ending the streak served no purpose. He was already big at that point, he gained nothing from it.
That's what makes it a smart move in hindsight. It was supposed to crush the fans, and the fact that it still does shows how effective it was
@@patrickkanas3874 Yaaa but not in a good way.
Cody is losing night 1 and winning night 2
Roman only has that title so long cause he disent fight and when he does fight hes usually losing then 1of the family jumps in its all fake.🇮🇪
So the thumbnail was a fake?
As far a wrestling moments to watch, not sure if you reacted to an all Darby Allin wild moments. I’ll post the link below. But more recent I saw a clip of Darby Allin in a recent show and well…man it hurt me watching it.

The clip that of Darby Allin that made me cringe
the moment that WWE went PG is when they killed it for me, it was fine back in the 80's before the Attitude Era, but then they trying to backpedal when it was over,,, naw man... just keep it for adults and teens, back up on the edgy stuff a little bit if you want, but trying to go back to PG just ruins the appeal, and the numbers support every word i am saying.
Jake Roberts might be my mom’s least favorite wrestler
I want Cody to win
DO NOT TALK OVER YOUR REACTION MATERIAL 😂 PAUSE

Hang on, does the narrator of this video think wrestling is real?...oh...oh no.
Pause the video to talk instead of talking over the narrator, my knuckle.
