Wow, you guys are amazing. Wish I've found this sooner. Definitely gonna be having me as a customer. I have a 2005 Hyundai tiburon gs and plan to turbo soon. So all of this should come in handy.
5:30 when Tuning Fork is getting the urge to drop a log.
fuck me that is gold!
Badass plug and play dash!!!
Could use one of those on the supra build
Boosted Lifestyle think it’ll work for my mk3?
can I use iq3 on my hondata s300?
Would the information refresh rate (rpm, speed etc) be acceptable if I used this on a 2012 Toyota 86 using obd2?
Does IQ3 street have the ability to set warning for a specific sensor.could I set a value for transmission temperature engine overheat and so on.
Yes, you can absolutely set custom warning for specific sensors and their values.
Do you carry magnetic chip detector sensors that detects and gives off warning if your engine or transmission are wearing off faster than normal?
I have a 2015 BRZ running an after-market turbo kit and ECUTEK software; Would the iQ3 just connect to my car through the ODB port?
I been looking into this and other dash solutions and came to the conclusion that I either need to spend the money on a non-haltech all in one or buy the OBD2 adapter for haltech and use a GOOD OBD2 bluetooth reader with an adroid tablet. For the amount of money that we are putting down for the haltech dash it has very dated technology and feel. Would have been amazing in the 90s
is it posible to connect de iq3 street to the smartwire pcm and to the ecu over obd2 ?? what else would i need to make it work that way?
Will these work with early 2000's JOBD factory ecu's?
I contacted a Hatch Dealer and he told me to just buy the GM ECM with a Connect and Cruise Cruse Crate motor.. but I like the idea of the Hatch as it has so many user friendly inputs out puts and configurable features.. The Question is many extra items do I have to purchase to make it work as a Flex fuel engine controller.. Looks like the 2500 Model will be needed ..
It really depends what other features you need - for example if you're going to be racing you might be after some advanced racing features which are only available on Elite 2500. However if Flex Fuel is the only feature that you're after then even Elite 950 will do the job: www.haltech.com/overview-elite-950/
Awesome video, thanks Scott, you have sold me on one for my VC Commodore. Can you pop over and help me set it up?
would this work on the E8 in my s13?
I have an Subaru from England (Mph) but need Kph is this possible with the street dash? :)
nice product, sad than is only in blue backlight, I would like to have it in red backlight.
Do you reckon this would fit on my Honda?
Will the iq3 work with an LS OEM ECU that has an automatic transmission?
does it work by just connecting it to obd2 port.
I read the manual on this .. I must say the Video paints a basic picture what it can do .. Also the Video brought to my attention an engine specific wire set .. That's a good start.. I read how to calibrate it for gear indicator.. Calibrating the MPH was a little vague not sure of all of the values .. I am guessing one value is the distance your tire rolls in one Revolution .. I am not fluent in Australian Engines only USA English
At this time not every method to set it up is necessary . I just need to know what it can and can not do.. For example I looks like I don't need an oxygen sensor gauge as the IQ-3 can do that .. I noticed two part ##### and only figured out the difference when this video stated the second one has a place for a memory card for Data Logging .. could not figure that out from the 46 page manual that I skimmed....
Haltch seems to have better info on their web page than other brands have.. The old adage you get what you pay for .. Haltech costs a lot more but has a lot more features too ..
If you need any additional info or if you have any questions, call our Lexington office on (888) 298 8116.
Whats the difference between the 34pin and the 8pin dash?
I purchased a second hand iq3 dash not knowing there was an 8pin version.
Scott or should I call you Tuning Fork anyways I've wanted to ask you for the longest time if that would be compatible with my Ford Probe ? I've seen Marty use that in Super Gramps it looks really great in his car . Does the Dung Beetle or Unicorn run that ?
Supergramps and Dung Beetle use the older style IQ3 dash but the new one is exactly the same shape and dimensions - but with added features. If your Probe uses a CAN-based OBDII then IQ3 can be used, otherwise you'll need an aftermarket ecu. See the list here: www.haltech.com/new-iq3-street-dash-is-here/
Will this work for a Nissan 280ZX? If so, How?
Would buy instantly if you could configure the colors of the backlight
Just get the obd2 adapter for haltech and use an android tablet.
So this could be plug directly into my OBDII port on my car(2015 model) and away we go?
You’ll just need to plug in the OBDII adapter, connect power+ground, and connect your laptop to choose the channels to display on the screen :)
Haltech wow what an awesome device!
Haltech so once you connect the obdII connector you will still need to connect the power and ground to power the pak? or does it also get power from the OBDII port?
Do they have DCCD display for the subaru?
Is this compatible with Haltech Interceptor platinum
Hi I've fitted an old school 454 big block chev and TH400 to my 2008 VE SSV. its tunnel rammed dual carbed and was wondering if this will work for me rather than using older style analog gauges ie autometer
We'd recommend one of our new IC-7 dashes instead
if I am using a 2001 corvette stock ecu I cannot plug this into the odbii?
Unfortunately not; CAN-based OBDII starts from ~2008.
But does it support Vems?
Does the metal mounting plate come in the package or add on? Or only the plastic trims are add on?
It's an optional extra.
All the accessories are listed here:
www.haltech.com/haltech-dashes-data-logging/
can this dash be used with a microtech lt10s
Sorry, the LT10S has only serial communications. You would need an LT10C to communicate with the IQ3 Street.
what ecu would you recommended for a 2jz swapped Toyota gt 86
The Elite 2500 is ideal for a 2JZ swap - supporting factory functionality such as knock control and stepper-motor idle control.
Will this work with an ls2 engine/ecu/harness from an 06 pontiac GTO?
supernice_auto yes..
Are these legal to use on road going cars in Australia? More specifically NSW and Vic?
You would need to check with your state roads authority.
Works with hondata?
hi i am using a honda k20a motor and standard 1996 ecu will the IQ3 adapt to that.
How are you running a 96 ecu on a k20 🤔❓ what ecu is that?
Are these waterproof? Looking at throwing one on a bike for daily use.
No, the IQ3’s are not IP-rated. Racepak do however sell a clear cover that gives some splash-protection if required.
hey guys. so if i had an elite ecu with the adapter to plug into the street dash so that i could display engine vitals (oil pressure etc) all id need to do is hook up the power+ground and all the street friendly features then im set?
Pretty much, yes.
well now i know what im gonna be doing :P im sold. cheers for the reply!
What is required to connect one of these to a Microtech LT16 ecu and will it display all the microtech data including microtech sensors ? Thanks
The IQ3 Street supports the Microtech CAN, and will display up to 20 channels from the ECU (eg. RPM, oil pressure, ethanol content etc). As there is no CAN port to plug directly into on the LT16C, you will need to wire the CAN Hi/CAN Lo wires between ECU and dash, and connect power/ground.
Thanks what part numbers do I need to order for the dash and any connection cables?
The IQ3 Street Display is HT-060102. You can either use a DTM2 plug and add your own wire to the ECU, or order our DTM2 to DTM4 cable (HT-060201).
Thanks for all the help, I can't find the cable part on your online store?
What exactly is the difference between the haltech iq3s and racepak iq3s I'm in the market for the racepak dash just want to make sure what the difference is so I can make the right choice
There are some spec differences but the main one is that a Haltech IQ3 connects directly to a Haltech ECU whereas a Racepak IQ3 needs an adapter. So if you've got a Haltech ECU then a Haltech IQ3 is a much easier (and cheaper) option.
Ahh ok I see so if I go with the haltech and in the future I get a different efi beside haltech can I still buy an adapter for that different efi in case I don't get a haltech efi
Could i use one of these on my 07 Eclipse?
Can you run petrol engines with direct injection with any of your ECUs ? If not do you have plans to in the near future ?
No direct injection support as yet.
Is this compatible with a Haltech 550? or do I need the 750 elite ? Thanks Mate
It will work with the 550 :)
Is there a newer model i should probably look at before i settle down on this one?
This is the current spec model. No new ones coming up in foreseeable future.
I think i'll go sell a kidney on the black market so I can go ahead and buy me a IQ3.. Or would you like to trade my kidney for one? Hahahaha
Great Job guys!!
We're all good for kidneys thank you. Though after last year's Christmas Party we could use a few new livers:)
can you use this on diesel trucks like a second gen cummins
Sorry, at this stage we don't support diesel applications.
Can you change the display color? Most of the rest of my car interior lighting is red/ orange.
Unfortunately you can't for the IQ3 dashes however you can do so on our new Haltech iC-7 display dash with full colour customisation.
Please recommend me a dash for my bmw S1000RR and yamaha R1. Thanks
www.haltech.com/haltech-ic-7-display-dash-a-new-way-of-seeing-things/
That whoud be cool on a civic
I need this, but would it work on a 1992 964?
Yes it would, you will have to wire it in manually though.
i see, anyway thanks guys!
hi guys quick question, when im ordering the iq3s dash should i order the EFI interface cable as well? as the car run a carburetor engine?
Would this work for classic muscle cars with stock engines
Yes.
its gona work in a mini cooper S 2007? where i can buy it in miami. thanks
That depends on what ECU you've got in it. All ECUs compatible with this dash are listed here: www.haltech.com/iq3-dash/
And here is a list of our dealers in Florida: www.haltech.com/dealer/usa-canada/#Florida
thanks . i got a origuinal obdII. looks like is gona work thanks
Are the compatible with motorcycles?!
Yes.
Is the RPM range limited to only 8000 RPM?
Im running a mines ecu with a rb20 s14 will this work?
Unfortunately no. Here is the list of ECUs supported by this dash:
Haltech Platinum, Pro Plugin and Elite Series, AEM, MSD Atomic, Electromotive, EMS Em-Tech, FAST XFI, FuelTech, Holley, InjePro, Life Racing F88, Link G4+, MaxxECU, MEFI 4B, MegaSquirt, MicroTech, MoTeC, OBDII, Pro EFI.
Haltech good to know thanks
make the backlight red and it's sold :)
why don't you just make the ecu in the dash so people can use 1 box that does everything
Because not everyone wants that. By providing these products separately you can choose what you want/need in your setup.
What's the price?
All prices are listed in our online store - see link below:
www.haltech.com/new-iq3-street-dash-is-here/
lol what they don't tell you is that this thing cost 1000 bucks
$849 actually.
Luis Garriga but considering what it does and ease of plug and play and what it would cost to buy gauges I think it's a good price.
Would this work with my 2004 evo 8 RS with stock ecu?
The IQ3 street dash works in any vehicle, but if you specifically mean the CAN connection, then no - the 2004 Evo8 is not CAN OBD2 compatible.
can the iq3 work with the older motec m4 ecu?
Yes, with the addition of a Serial comms module 230-VM-EFIMOTSR
Hi could this replace a 2015
mercedes sprinter cluster
What's the different between iq3 Dash and iq3 Street dash. I'm using iq3 Dash .
IQ3 Street has all the extra street functions like turn signals, high beam, park lights, plus obdII compatibility.
does the old non street one monitor the fuel level as well?
