Whether you are an Elvis fan or not Austin deserves an Oscar for this! His attention to detail was spot on, the work and effort he put into this must have been stellar

Austin did not miss a single moment not a wiggle. He was so commited about this. People call him weird and all sorts of names but you can tell how much hard work he put into this
It is so sadthat Austin was robbed of the Oscar fir the role he was born to play. This guy gave a once in a lifetime Oscar performance. With everything he had to do to make the audience believe they were watching Elvis from teens years to his death, acting, singing, dancing, playing instruments, full on stage performances besides all the manorisums ,emotions. Austin played Elvis from teenage to death. It was an amazing performance. Austin proved just how great of an actor he is. I know he will have a long much deserved career. Austin thank u 4 all the effort, heart, and emotions u put in to honoring not the film but the man u were portaying.
rightt like brendan fraser was good in the whale and all... but it pales in comparison to this performance. idk how they fucked that one up so badly
Talk about irony Austin's next project is with the director from the Whale. I am sure that director himself knows what an amazing a tor Austin is and what he gives to the roles he does.

Yes I agree 100 💯 percent. The sad thing is Austin did give an Oscar performance yet was not rewarded the award that he truly deserved and worked very hard 4 and delivered. I know he will have a long career directors and producers saw what he did and what he put into it. His phone has been blowing up with offers and will continue on 4 he is 1 of this generations great actors.
It's less noticeable with the two videos being played at the same time, but it's amazing how not only they got every movement, but also the way Elvis was singing there, exhausted and not singing every word due to it

I really feel they could release this movie in the theater every year and people would still go to see it. Austin put so much into this role it was just amazing. Baz definitely made the right choice because Elvis is really hugh shoes to fill and he did an amazing job. Still a crime he was robbed of the Oscar and the film it self was shut out. Nominated fir 8 awards and no wins what a crock. But then again not surprising since the academy lost their integrity a long time ago.

Elvis decided to leave the stage without any warning during one of his shows. His guys had to quickly be there to keep him safe!

Austin portrayed him amazingly ! This movie scene though ,where we see the look in Priscillas eyes, she knew she'd never ever be able to have him just to herself, and of course in real life at this time Priscilla was at home with the baby, it must have been awful for her.
His career and all its trappings took away any chance of them having a long and lasting marriage, so so sad.
He loved her till.his dying day and she will.him.
@@leebillington1909 Johnny Hallyday tried to do the same, in France, (80/90, I don't remember exactly) But he very quickly regretted to have done that. ! The fans in France are MUCH less respectful and caring for their idoles ! On the other hand, Elvis, in Las Vegas, was never afraid, either, to go down the room to kiss the fans !!! What a good memories !
