  • Premier Inn Abu Dhabi! Show you the walk from the airport to the hotel, the hotel room, and then the walk back to the Business Class check in terminal at Terminal 3! We arrive in Abu Dhabi from Singapore on EY 473. As we had an 11.5 hour layover before our next flight to London Heathrow on EY 25, we decided to stay for one night at the Abu Dhabi Premier Inn.
    To get to the Premier Inn, you must enter Abu Dhabi (i.e. clear immigration). Our bags would be checked through, so we had only our handcarry luggage to bring along with us. After clearing immigration and getting to the arrival terminal at T3, we initially had some confusion with regard to where to go. Had to ask a person for help and we were directed towards the other end of the Terminal, at the Skypark. The signages to the Premier Inn were not great, but fortunately the place wasn't too big so we eventually found our way.
    Overall, the walk from the Arrivals Hall to the Premier Inn lobby isn't very far at all. 10 minutes max if you walk slowly. Much faster if you brisk walk. Our check in was smooth and easy as it was very late in the night (or early in the morning, just past midnight). We were given a disabled friendly room and hence the toilet was very big and the bed was a tad lower than usual. No issues for us. We enjoyed the big toilet space.
    The next morning, we didn't take breakfast as we knew that there would be a good breakfast waiting for us at the Etihad Business Lounge. So after waking up, we checked out of the hotel and quickly made our way back to the Etihad Terminal. Business and First class passengers have separate dedicated terminals. We were already checked in and had our boarding passes issued to us right from Singapore. So we breezed right in, cleared immigration and security and soon found our way to the Business Class lounge. Check out the lounge review plus links to our flights below!

    Thank you, this is very useful information I watched it 4-5 times. I still curious that when we clear immigration to go out to the hotel. Do we need to show green pass on ALHOSN? P.s.we don't want to visit other place, just stay over night and back to the airport and fly in early morning.

      No green pass needed in our case. We didn’t have to show any green pass. 😀

    Hello, would like to understand, if can we use the same route to hotel after immigration and luggage pick up? Or we need to go out of airport terminal 1 and access hotel from main road?

      Sorry, I don’t really know. Best way is to ask a staff member. That’s what we did. But I am sure there is a way to walk to the hotel from any Terminal.

    You mentioned that you arrived after 11pm. I have a late arrival in Abu Dhabi at 1am with a 22 hour layover. I was hoping to book the Premier Inn but their website says earliest check in time is 2pm. How did you manage to check in at night? Thanks in advance!

    • @guitarsingaporeRapture
      @guitarsingaporeRapture  Před rokem +1

      You have to the book the hotel for the day before. For example, you arrive 10 November early morning 1AM. That means you have to book the hotel for check in on 9 Nov. Important to let the hotel know what time you are arriving so that they don’t cancel your reservation due to non arrival. I wrote to the hotel via email to make sure they knew my arrival flight and time. Hope this helps.

      @@aktcdc ooops. Ok then, looks like you need to pick up the bags and do the walk. The absolute distance is not far but I have no idea how heavy your bags are. If your bags can be pushed along, perhaps it won’t be so bad. There were lifts and escalators along the way so I don’t think you would need to lug your bags up and down stairs. All the best!

    • @guitarsingaporeRapture
      @guitarsingaporeRapture  Před rokem

      For us, our bags were checked all the way through to our final destination therefore we didn’t need to pick up our luggage.
      Best for you to confirm again when you check in your bags. You should see that the baggage tag has your final destination. Remember to keep your baggage receipt properly in case the luggage gets misplaced.

    Hi how long before do you have to go back to your terminal or gate etc from the hotel iv seen i another video saying if you transit out to a hotel you must be back 6 hours before departure?? Is this the case even if you are at the airport hotel?

    • @guitarsingaporeRapture
      @guitarsingaporeRapture  Před rokem +2

      You have to give yourself enough time to get back to your gate, factoring the time you take to walk from the hotel to the airport and then going through immigration and security and then walking to the gate.
      For us, it was quite fast. The walk from the Premier Inn hotel to the terminal took max 10minutes (probably shorter). We were flying in Business class so we used the dedicated Biz class terminal - the immigration clearance and security were quick (no queue). Once inside the terminal, depending on where your gate is, but it shouldn’t be too far since the airport isn’t that big.
      I don’t know why anybody would say that you need to be back 6 hours before departure.
      Hope this helps.

    • @guitarsingaporeRapture
      @guitarsingaporeRapture  Před 7 měsíci

      For my flight, no. Mine was a long layover, which means my bags were checked to my final destination. For this trip, I was flying from Singapore to London Heathrow so my bags were checked through to London Heathrow. Best to check with the airport staff when you are checking in for your flight.

      No need. But I read you need a PCR test to get some certification to visit their tourist sites. We didn’t visit any site. We went to the hotel, slept one night, and next morning went back to the terminal. But technically yes we definitely cleared immigration to enter Abu Dhabi.
