Svetlana Romashina & Natalia Ishchenko can name a collection of 10 Olympic Gold Medals their own. The two Artistic Swimmers (a.k.a. Synchronised Swimming) from Russia claimed team gold at Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 and gold at the duet competition in London and Rio. They will get straight 10's if they perform these pre-2008. The Russians have elevated the sport throughout the years pushing beyond the boundaries. It's not that the athletes getting worse but the judges are getting more reluctant to give a 10 playing it safe, and they're getting "used to" the perfection from these performances. Hence, it's the reason why you rarely see 10's these days on the scoring board, even though these athletes are doing more complicated moves. When you look at it even in the slo-mo replay most of the time they're still perfectly synchronized. I have my utmost respect for synchronized simmers.

Отдельное спасибо тренерам, врачам, костюмера, короче всем, кто рядом с девушками, ведёт их и помогает обрамлять титанический труд в блестящий бриллиант!!!!
Оторваться от просмотра невозможно, уже второй час смотрю разные выступления наших девочек и не могу остановиться!!! Это невероятный вид спорта! Вот у кого можно поучиться бодрости, оптимизму и победам несмотря ни на что!!! Молодцы, так держать😊👍👍👍
My favorite performances is Michael Jackson and Pray.... Pray it's something above us. It's real pray. U are watching and u hear of the cry of praying. Bravo! Bravo girls! Bravo trainers, choreo, all supporting team.

However, the technical routine was also sensational - especially error-free. Undoubtedly the highlight: the completely synchronized Barracuda split (45:00) - a maximum difficulty - not least because it was presented towards the end of the routine (extremely exhausting). The free routine had one synchronous mistake (under-rotated -50:48), but was of course incredible and touching in its effect.
