  • So, after fighting off an abundance of unwanted snow, we ended up having an interesting 24 hours!
To start, we received a call for a junk removal quote. Boyyyyy was it a project. A project that would take a few guys and a lot of dumpsters.
We arrived at the apartment building, and it was clear that it hadn't been taken care of for quite some time by the previous owner. We could see junk piled up in the windows and even spilling out onto the balcony. It was a mess! We knew we had our work cut out for us just to get in. It looked like the city boarded it up like Fort Knox.
We found a way to carefully pry open a window and squeeze our way inside. It was a tight fit, but we managed to make it in.
Once we stepped foot inside, we were greeted by a sight that can only be described as a junkyard. The place was filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of random items. It seemed like the squatters had been stealing and hoarding everything under the sun. It was a challenge just to move around.
After gaining access to a couple more units, we called it a success. It allowed us to quote a portion of the job for the customer, as this is set to be a multiple stage project. There were some interesting finds inside the apartment. Who knows what else we will discover.
After that call, my brother reached out about getting his delivery truck recovered off the side of the highway. It fell victim to the icy roads and nearly flipped. It made for a very sketch recovery. but in the end, everyone was safe and accounted for.
Owning a small business can be fun, but some days, it can look like an absolute dumpster fire!
