    Crusade is actually extremely smooth and has an actually decent turnaround animation for sonic's dash animation.
    One consistent thing that bugs me about Smash Flash 2 is how choppy and ugly the sprites are for certain attacks. There's almost no transition between sonic dashing and running. He just snaps to his dash animation immediately.
    Crusade has Smash Flash 2 beat cleanly in the character animation and sprite design honestly.
    Smash Flash 2 has this very annoying tendency to try to match the official smash games in looks and feel. Makes for ugly sprites with wayyy too little animation frames, and movesets that feel outdated by the time the next update rolls out.

      I agree. When it comes to most of the cast for SSF2 they take it when it comes to the moveset. But then the animation is what bugs me. SSBC on the other hand is a little weird when it comes to the movesets of most of the characters but they do the animations justice and Sonic and Goku feel like Sonic and Goku while you use them.

      @@dragnjames2190Bro I understand your point, but saying that the sprites are ugly is simply stupid, almost all of the ssf2 sprites are light years superior to ssbc and I understand your point and the fact that ssbc is improving their sprites like sonic's, the sonic from ssbc is better, but understand that it is more current than that of ssf2, while that ssf2 was giving it a scrub since the beta and from before considering the transformations, unfortunately as you say ssf2 only seeks to create a playable ssb for pc, but many Of the "original" or "new" characters you have beautiful sprites with very good or at least an enjoyable move set

    Crazy how both go for a direct adaptation of the 3d model in a pixel art form, and how you can see how much smoother the crusade sprite are, i feel like the Sf2 sprites try too hard to look like ult even when it doesnt work that well. I must say, i didnt know anything about crusade's sonic and im impressed, the original moves look really cool too

    I hate how SSF2 tries to be like the official games by just copying the moveset from the official games, I miss when they had orionality.

      Bro, the idea of SSF2 is precisely to create a Flash version of Super Smash Bros. original. Crusede came long after SSF2, which also has this same idea, however, they try to change it in some aspects so as not to be the same as SSF2.

    • @Leoram.
      @Leoram. Před 19 dny +3

      @@hyper1808 they started with original ideas bruh, even the smash finals were fun and original, but they suddenly started to be just a copy, I have all smash bros games and I enjoyed smash flash because it was kinda different, it had its values but now what's the point in playing ssf2 when I can play the real deal? Don't get me wrong, it is kinda unique but previously it was better, look at megaman, he had an original and pretty good moveset, but they threw that away just so it could be more like the original.

    • @hyper1808
      @hyper1808 Před 19 dny +9

      @@Leoram. Wrong, Mario since the first version, for example, is a copy of Melee, and no one has ever complained about that.
      Sonic was inspired by Brawl and now it's a mix between SSB4 and PM.
      In Crusede for example, Snake, Marth, Fox, Falco are copies of the original game, so no one will play because of that?
      Of course.
      There are some characters that are very broad like Sonic and Megaman that the creators like to bring different ideas to, but the proposal remains the same as the two fangames, an accessible Smash Bros Pixel.
      If it were because of original ideas, why don't the same players who play Smash Bros play Brawlhalla for example?
      It's simple, the PROPOSAL IS DIFFERENT.
      I agree with you that, for example, Finals Smashers were much better, but I believe that since that time they wanted to do the same as the original game, but maybe it was because they didn't have much knowledge of programming, I don't know.
      And yes, I agree that Crusede's Sonic is much better than SSF2's, much bolder and better than the original, which hasn't had a new move for years.
      But each one has its own charm and audience.

      @@Leoram.most characters in their aren’t even apart of smash, and the ones that are share almost identical movesets, which after seeing this video, I can say that Sonic’s moveset in SSF2 is still somewhat different from Brawl, because SSF2 came out before Ultimate, but if it’s so much of a problem to you just create your own game

      Could you please elaborate

    • @axain7784
      @axain7784 Před 10 dny

      @@TotallyTally It won't elaborate, so I'll elaborate for it. Well, elaborate on how it's wrong, but still.
      One good example is the Up Air. Both SSBU and SSF2 display Sonic turning his body upwards and slamming his feet together, with two arcing yellow trails. Now, it _could_ be argued that SSF2 is """tracing""", but the argument is comparable to an AI generated tweet at best. The movements are almost identical, yes, but if it were """tracing""", the devs would have just taken frames of the actual SSBU animations, pixelated them, slapped them in and called it a day. SSBC takes a slightly different approach, having Sonic twist in mid-air as his feet join together as he spins, with white twirling wind trails to accommodate that. With SSBC, it's blatant that they aren't tracing since the movements are entirely different.
      People can tell me "oOo ur mAD" all they want. I couldn't give less of a shit. I'll say what I want, when I want, however I want it.
