I just realized in my years of playing total war 2 that I have never went out far enough to fight the Aztecs in vanilla. Gonna have to load the game up at some point to do this.
Cool video but i followed the exact same steps and when i load into a rebel game there are no armies or garrisons in the rebel settlements in europe and the americas
To everyone watching and reading this! If anyone is interested i'm going to host a 2v2 hotseat in TATW(Third Age Total War). Its going to be good vs evil and so if you are interested check out my most recent video or wait for 6/22/19 for the official announcement video. Hope to see you there!
I see, so this is why one doesn't just copy all of "nonplayable" and "unlockable" into "playable" in one go. This is what i did for RTW 1 and I didn't even notice, hahah.
Unfortunately this means that there was a slight mistake made in the code changing, you will have to verify integrity of game files in steam to fix the issue.
I did what you did but it won't show the slave faction I did every thing you said copy everything you did but it did not work. also where do I save the file to when you press save? and mind Medieval total war 2 is non steam by the way.
I saw how you do the changes to move the factions into playable, but I don't have Medieval total war 2 on steam I have it on disk. Now I did what you did but for some reason mind only shows France, England, Venice, Spain, and the Holy roman empire, as well as Hungry, and Sicily I did every thing just right and then I save it in a file called unlock, cause every time I press save my computer makes me save it in a medieval total war file and so I save under a file called unlock the only one it seems to let me save under then I enter the game the rebel faction dose not show up and I done it 10 times now. Maybe cause I'm not suppose save the changes into unlock. I don't know maybe cause my game is not part of steam at all. Also for some reason all the factions that you have to unlock are in the end unlockable, with the five standard factions at ready to play in the campaign playable now I don't if this competing with the game works cause when I move slave and do everything you did it should work I save what I did under the the file Unlocked and then nothing happens I don't know why but any changes make don't work when it should.
well there is my problem every time I press (save) and not (save as) it forces me to save the changes into something like unlock file or else it won't accept meaning nothing can be done and nothing changes so am I suppose to save it a new folder cause while you just click save mind shows all the scrips for victory conditions, events, regions and description of the Italian city states, and the descr_strat I tried to save into the last one besides the (unlock file), but then it says ( This file is set to read only. Try again with a different file name. So I created a different folder did not work it just show the five factions that are playable no rebel faction for some reason.
You could probably by adding another one of the factions in the codes then copy and pasting the info and all the stuff from an expansion. But it would take a long time because it's a lot of codes in different areas and you would have to go over other factions starting regions because they have some of the same. Also the expansions have regions vanilla doesn't have.

By that time you probably own most of the world.. should he accessible much earlier in the game
And you dont have to worry about towns rebelling, seeming as you are the rebels, if I am correct
If the town does rebel you'll just get more units lol
@@telebread1416 So accordingt to that public order is to be held low? - Nice
Cool thanks for the info. I never knew it was so easy to do.

And when heretics and witches spawn you control them, right?
Have to build barracks to buy troops but awesome
tried this today and somehow it doesnt work, it dont show the rebels faction banner to choose

can this work for the cd version? i tried doing the same but it doesn't allow me to save the changes
when i brought in the papal states, mongols, and timurids, all the rebel settlements became undefended villages. how do i fix it

Follow the steps completely but do not save them in unlock just click save.

I believe there is a way and I am searching to figure it out.
