Fufu is very common in most Ghanaian homes. it takes awhile to prepare and so most Ghanaian families will cook this Ghana food on Sundays when they are most likely off work.
In Ghana, fufu, also known as fufuo, its generally white and sticky if it made from just cassava. Other foods like plantain and cocoyam can be added and this will give it a different colour. The traditional method of eating fufu is to pinch some of the fufu off in one's right hand fingers and form it into an easily ingested round ball. The ball is then dipped in the soup before being eaten.
Today I am cooking fufu and soup for my family.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what its like to live in Ghana, from the Ghanaian food, to the Ghanaian culture, to the Ghanaian lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and help inspire to explore Ghana.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

This looks really good. Our fish soup in Jamaica is called Fish Tea; we don't add any meat and it usually has green bananas in the skin, plus other food, vegetables and spices, with the flavourful Jamaican scotch bonnet pepper. One love from Jamaica ❤️🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲❤️.
❤️❤️
Wow. I am getting hungry just by looking at the fufu dish.

First of all what i love about you Jasmine is you're natural no painting in your face at all just simple that's no one second is like Aisha is shy on camera she find it difficult to talk on camera third the best beauty of African woman is how she can cook Jasmine and Aisha both of you get what it takes to be real woman i love west African women for that especially Nigeria and Ghanian women that's my opinion 👍👍👍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Sometimes she wears makeup...It takes time to apply makeup. So it may depend on time or where she is going. She looks nice either way.

Jas you made me missed community 1 market I use go down to buy food stuff when I come down from UK I wish visit community 4
Aww
I had to chuckle when I heard you say "which part" when you were getting the information on finding the tilapia market--we say that in my country of origin as well. It made me smile although I'm sad that I had to make the decision not to move to Ghana after all. Lately, I've seen so many videos on land and building scams, and I had to ask myself if I had the tolerance, because I'd probably reach my breaking point and wind up on Ghana TV for the wrong reason. I was so looking forward to the food, fresh air markets and culture
🤣🤣🤣 I don’t want u to end up on the news either. U should totally come on holiday ❤️❤️
@@JasmineAmaa maybe I will at some point
Dealing with land issues in Ghana can be very tricky. I suggest if you ever want to purchase one, always involve an attorney who has a proven track record. That way, you can almost never go wrong. All the best. 😊
@@kaybee3757 Thanks

Yummy!!!
😋
Your food looks so good I want to come to Ghana to taste that food and y'all some beautiful women
TILAPIA IS THE BEST FISH 🐟, THEY LOVE IT HERE IN VANCOUVER CANADA 🇨🇦, NEVER HAD IT WITH FUFU.💕💕💕
My favourites ladies
Try air frying the tilapia fifteen minutes each side before adding to the soup. Takes away the bluntness of the fish also away especially the way you seasoned it.
Where in Ghana is this fish market located.when ever I go to Ghana I'm going to get some fish and enjoy.omg I can't wait 😘
Hello Jasmine! I am a new subscriber, watching from Oregon on the west coast of the US. Thank you for taking me on the adventure! Props also for the camera work! Great way to start my Sunday!
Thanks Theo xx

Hello jasmine my 😘
Ah! You don't like tilapia head??? Me the head is my favourite ooo
Everyone says that lol
🔥🔥🔥🌴🔥🔥🔥🔥
☝️🤪🤤👍Food eats good!!!
As a Nigerian I would love to try this Ghana's Cassava and Plantain Fufu. In Nigeria our Fufu is just Cassava, is it like this in Ghana as well. We also have ready to eat Fufu easily available in the Markets.
PS: My Nigerian sef keeps imagining the taste of Fufu and stew. If you can Jasmine get to try the Egusi, okro, or bitterleaf/any vegetable soups we use to eat Fufu in Nigeria, you would love it.
Will love to try this. 🥰
Who ever is talking at the end can feel the beef. 👍🏿🙃🥰😋👀
