I like how Matt treats using the foundation as basically waving the white flag.
It is possible to beat without using any tho. Although often alot more expensive
@@stephenponnet462 more expensive than a 15k flat fee? no chance
@@austincolon7287 You heard the man, he's correct
Because it is
I love the addition of foundations. Trying to build the long bridges was my favorite part of Poly Bridge 1 and 2, so having the choice between doing that or having an expensive support is quite nice. It's a lot more interesting than having free fixed supports where there's no upside to choosing not to use them.
After watching you from day 1 and a few other pb players I finally decided to get the game.
Way harder than I thought it'd be after watching so much. I did manage that first one you tried to do but you had to disconnect both ends of the bottom bridge.
I have noticed that I'm finding a lot more strength in some asymmetrical bridges.
Also your engineering lessons have helped massively. Like remembering how forces continue through the bridge and how you want the supports facing certain directions depending on where they are. So thank you
I can say the same BUT i torrented the game because i dont have 20 bucks to spare
It’s funny watching RCE play then watching someone like ScrapMan play for the first time and screaming “no! Don’t do that! Ahhhh! Are you an architect?”
@@piramldI won't admit to anything but it's very easy to get caught torrenting in countries with anti-piracy laws. Torrenting is alot faster to download but you also re-upload certain things so anti-piracy agencies go after people torrenting since they only want to catch the people with the highest payoff. If you do direct download you really won't get caught until anti-piracy agencies run out of people who are torrenting.

As a penguin, I can say the penguin on the level is the single most cursed penguin I’ve seen.
Noot Noot
Translation : that was me how dare you insulting me, you low budget pixel penguin you don't deserve to live among us. I'm going to ruin your life so you can learn a thing out of your disrespect so that empty head of your will fill up a bit.
NOOT
Translation : But no offense 🤗
It's a penguin standing next to a fire. Everything about it is sus as hell. Something wrong with that penguin!
That is one sexy penguin imo, with them long legs
The bridge Matt found at 21:20 really deserved a Bridge Review!
approved, also MATT HEARTED SO IT IS MAYBE HAPPENING!!!!!!!
My thought exactly
I've been having a lot of fun trying to max stability instead of minimizing budget. The leader boards are much more approachable, too! I have quite a few 1st place finishes (or did at the time of building).
likely because its a new concept, im sure over time it'll be its own niche
Same! I got my first 1st place finish today as well.
He should try that instead yeah. Makes more sense as an actual engineer, his skills would be better suited for that.
Very important for cable-stayed bridges: If they dont work, try slacking the rope a bit. Thats what I had to do, especially since the solution was on grid.
Curious if he has found the stress leaderboards as an engineer. I find it a bit more realistic so you are buidling the best bridge you can to last as long as possible sort of thing...
Matt presses play to see if everything moves at once, then immediately gets distracted by the penguin.
I love watching youtubers play poly bridge. Checking weights, considering ideas, thinking ahead and generally being smart.
Then when I play, I do the dumbest most obvious thing and it almost always works first try.
I'm glad he's a youtuber now. Traffic in my town is bad enough without engineer trial-and-erroring the bridges...
There was no musical intro, that's an architect move, Matt. An architect move!
This is the one to lead the resistance!
@@matteocavedon4684 We must rise up, comrades.
We should throw him overboard and elect a new person, who’s with me !!!!!!!!!

Nah I think they’re fine being kept in montages
Excellent budget bridges Matt. You should do a world further ahead, so Tyler gets a chance to play against your budgets too! 😂 That one he got 4th, he did a 🍌 on, like you tried. 😉
I think his final cheapest design was the tension muscles, wasn't it? Where it was road on top, wood in the middle, and rope on the bottom?
Don't know if you could consider it a cheese, but Tyler discovered a new way to make roads after tweaking a banana bridge attempt. 😂 He made the fork lift drive on road muscles that was roads on top, ropes on the bottom.
Omg ok ok😊
Can you wall brace against the foundation? If so that could be huge
I think I saw it in the gallery in previous episode.
I was thinking the same thing.
It only allows you to go 1/4 wood piece length left and right of the node though. (If you use the foundation to do what has so far been known as a "rock brace".)
Or do you mean bracing to somewhere below the top of the foundation? Every meter costs 900 more. I don't know if the tilting stability is worth that extra money. It might, though.
I'm pleased to report I'm now watching these videos as someone who's actually learning to be an engineer at uni... finally he's not lying when he says 'hello fellow engineers'
Someone needs to make a playlist with all his songs. They are the true masterpieces in these videos.
There is just a rivalry between Tyler and RCE and I’m here for it.
at 13:01-13:02 you can actually see the cars jumping over a road, so you could actually have sold that bit of road to save even more money
But it's also possible that it will break the bridge if you remove it
@@JBobjork i dont Think so because the bridge won’t be in more pressure. The car doesn’t even touch that bit of road so I don’t think it would cause it to breake
The excitement in Matt's voice about the BILF lol
Would of been hilarious if you had done a "Bridge Review" of the bridge on the back side of the map of Diamond in the Rock.
Hey Matt ever though of doing more horror games? The last time you played one it was hilarious!
Really wasn’t expecting a Phish song during your montage at 18:36 but I’m here for it brother
Him: sees that all the cheapest builds go over the top.
Also him: keeps putting supports under the road
thank you RCE for single-handedly keeping old songs alive
Thanks for the compliments 10:33 !!!
Man, you may be the only gaming CZcamsr I can watch without wanting to blow my brains out. You are calm, engaging, well spoken and funny, keep doing what you are doing.👍
Lifes been rough recently 😢 but just when thing start looking down RCE comes through with amazing content and song THANK YOU MATT
Why did they get rid of reinforced road? Seems weird to get rid of a feature
I love when Matt feels the need to explain to us how rope works... Never seen a rope before Matt
The funny thing is I met my land lords brother today he is an engineer and a pretty good guy. His sister who I absolutely hate is an architect i had no idea but RCE telling me life advice and neither of us knew lol
I wasn't expecting to see my bridge with the British flag sort of muscle thing in this episode. Glad you liked it :D
Once again RCE proves that he is not only an engineering powerhouse, but also a top tier musician and vocalist. His sheer ability to will a #1 hit into existence is just truly mind boggling and awe inspiring. Thank you to whatever higher power gave this man these talents, truly extraordinary.
well said, well said. *sheds tear*
I've been playing Poly Bridge 3 and I'm ahead of you by about a full world (that's not a brag, i don't have to make videos about it) and this is the first one where I've seen you struggle when I got it first try. Watching your videos has made me a vastly better Poly Bridge player. Thank you and keep making them!
This is the first time I couldn't tell what the song was a parody of.... Which is much more about my lack of pop-music knowledge than how freaking great they are and how much I love the RCE songs!
5:15 would’ve loved a Wilhelm scream with a zoom in on the flying piece of bridge.
The truck being suspended by the upper two vehicles really was a bit of a genius move. I love people's ingenuity
I can't see it as a real world solution. Wood would be phasing through other wood.
0:05 minor mountain pooog
I honestly really like watching aliensrock, he makes good content
I actually really enjoy the montage songs
Dang that support went FLYIN' (5:14)
Can't believe you saved a bit more to break the three way tie with me :( Need to go back and optimize!
I am loving all the Poly Bridge 3 videos. Makes me moist.
#sluglife
20:03 don't think he noticed that his ahead of another engineer
You can reinforce the road by placing material beside it now, PB2/PB1 didnt have this feature.
Looking forward to the hydraulic maps.
I love miner mountains sounds awesome!
-Friend from Alabama
First time I’ve seen my name in the leaderboards in one of your vids. Surreal. Love ya Matt!
I think you should start awarding a bridge review to the best bridge you see on each episode. Not each level since that would be a lot.
Watching brand new RCE video with a cup of cold lemonade, the best feeling. 😋
Every time I hear a bridge/engineering song my day gets 100,000% better
Vaulty Towers, taken from the British comedy show _Fawlty Towers_ by John Cleese, who plays a hotel manager.
Well played dev, well played!
8:19 : Twenty nine grands! 8:20 Instant realization
19:07 - MATT SMELLS
love u, been watching for little over a year and your videos always manage to cheer me up
Your engineering songs just keep getting better and better. Also I think the decision to put them in the montages was a good move.
5:16 YEET
I am glad BILF is catching on.
Awesome video, could also play Flooded a bit more, i love watching it, also love watching Poly Bridge 3
22:36 suprised he didnt notice he built "the strongest shape" with touching tips
19:07 sneaky editor
The flying SEMI TRUCK IS REAL!!!!
0:24 I’ve always dreamt of being a truck, thanks Matt
That penguin definitely approves of your bridge design.
Oh man the music is wonderful keep it up! Maybe release an album haha
3:05 architect moment
that car with fridge and the tractor and truck giving me some mudrunner vibes
It seems this game is different fomr the other two ones. In them if you wanted to do cheap you would just ignore everything but wood and build your bridges that way. Now it seems it makes sense to use steel when you have high stresses.
italian job is one of my favorite movies ever
Prebuilt levels just remind me of how he describes architects, they make nice drawings, they don't care if it can be built
I'd love to see more cable stayed and tension monstrosities!
Came for polybridge, stayed for the epic original song.
The songs are really fun. They make me smile.
One of the best singing I've heard in a while.
I always love your videos and I like to binge watch then over the weekend when I’m bored
I love how you felt the need to explaine what will happen to rope if you try to compress it XD
Best bday present was a polybridge 3 upload from rce!
Yes editor, i agree, matt smels 19:07
I like how you consistently check the top bridges in the leaderboard... and just as consistently never actually learn anything from them, continuing to build every bridge just like all the others you build.
Great episode all the way through
Love the competition with Tyler lol
Dang. There was a switch to color coordinate the stress of each piece you lay, when you test the bridges. Yeee 3:51
Matt suggestion for your musical interlude
"When the truss don't work
It only hurts
And I
Know I need to engineer you"
THE GENUIS IS BACK, LONG LIVE THE ENGINEERS!
the song was class RCE
"My dumptruck brings all the scrap to the yard
'cuz my site, it's bigger than yours
damn right, it's bigger than yours
We could take yours, 'cuz our truck's so large"
Bro got the pet sim x sound in the background 😂😂
These montage tracks have transcended music
Who here loves a BILF
Jo RCE, i Love your Videos! Keep up the great Work and greetings from Germany 😁
Love your videos
RCE: wow look at all these upper supports that are working (somehow)!
Also RCE: let’s only try lower supports.
Me:🥴🤷🏼♂️🤣
I am 100% sure that "Karolis" is Hermitcraft's one and only Keralis
The foundation you used was very expensive but you can make a smaller one too!
He forgot the “boosh” in the diamond in the rock level
Love a bit of Take That
it’s gonna be a good day when RCE uploads
8:08 “I smashed AlienRock”
i need a compliation of the various RCE covers
I love dat songs 😂
Even if I am not an engineer but a technical draftsman and the architects .. I have the same feelings about them😂
I'm here for the songs!
