The “go to the skatepark early because no one is there” advice is given so often you’d assume it couldn’t be true (owing to the fact if even a fraction of people took this advice the park would be pretty packed early in the morning); but it is true! It seems that statistically only one skater in any given skatepark district is able to force themselves out of bed to get to their local skatepark pre-noon.

49 good tips out of 50. Non abrasive grip tape is good. SYS grip is awsome in my opinion. They rip your shoes much more less than normal grip. I skate my shoes with it for like half a year now and almost only waers on the bottom where i push.

agree! S(ave)Y(our)S(hoes) Grip is quite frankly the ultimate griptape for me.
it grips very well, lasts long and doesnt destroy your shoes.
I am now skating a pair of vans slip ons for 1,5 years already and I havent had to use shoe goo yet.
thats insane. And Vans have a stupidly thin outsole.

    1. Cant get the bearing in the wheel all the way? Tighten the wheel nut all the way down until it stops turning. Don't force it too hard as it will break the bearing.
    2. Avoid decks with any sort of paint coat/film on the top of the deck. In high heat weather the paint can peel of the deck and come off with the grip tape.
    3. Most wheels designs with the graphic inside have a tiny bit of a more square shape compared to the other side, which will lock into grinds better.
    4. Knee sliding destroying your bottom lace? Don't loop the lace at the start of the shoe.
    5. Try to have an easy cool down skate after a big session where you feel exhausted, this will prevent major fatigue and stiffness in the muscles.
    6. Always stretch before a skate even for 5 mins.
    7. Prevent yourself from running out of bailed trick in a bowl/halfpipe. Try bum sliding or knee sliding with pads, this will prevent major and minor back pains.
    8. No energy to skate? Focus on high carb foods and sugary fruits. Gatorades are a life saver on hot days where you lose all your electrolytes and energy in sweat.
    9. Can't even think where to start learning a new trick? Look at as many different tutorials as possible. Then replay it in your head 100 times and visualize as u attempt it.
    10. Sub to Ricky and Braille

    1. Rub brick.
    Clear coat lacquer.
Wax. In that order will make any ledge-curb skatable.
2.Skateparks that are surrounded by trees are best skated after it rains.
    3. Steel stick is malleable and will harden, thus making it perfect for patching cracks, chips, and chunks on ledges.
4.Citys/ County's with the most skateparks have the most street spots.
5.Bondoing is used to fix speed cracks on floor. And is only 20-30 dollars and takes a few minutes to flake and fix.
6.if you're proficient in switched stance skating popsicle boards make life easier.
7.Always film in a 45 degree angle ALWAYS.
8.If your city does not have a skatepark there a handful of nonprofits that will help you get started getting one built.
    9. Post your busted chipped up skateboard on social media and 9 times out of 10 someone will offer to send you a brand new one.
    10.If you tell a security guard/cop
" would you rather me be on the streets doing drugs?" Will buy you or your friends a last try. Get that clip homies.

If you put a wheel through that hook the skateboard hangs vertically from it. 3. Don't use Shoe Goo. Use something called Aquaseal from Gear aid or similar product. Shoe Goo is some kind of rubber cement which doesn't work well for skating and problems like flaking can occur. Aquaseal is a urethane adhesive that keeps your shoe grippy and it doesn't flake.
