It’s cos of the study CZcams community I got 10 A*s in my GCSEs this summer so they’ve really impacted my life. Cos tbh I know I wouldn’t have done as well if the study community didn’t exist and I’m grateful

How has the study community impacted me?
Well, the first thing I can think of is being inspired to apply to Cambridge for medicine as a lil black girl in year 9. Now that I'm in year 11, the study community's taught me that it doesn't matter which uni I study at- for as long as I study hard & smart wherever I'm at, _I will go places_ .

My little sister is in year ten and wants to do medicine at Cambridge but is terrified of the application process - the study community has provided me with videos that explain the whole oxbridge process and even about the free summer schools that I didn’t know about at her age and because of them, she’s told me that she’ll firmly apply

I love all your channels. It is amazing to see other people around my age doing so well. However, I don't watch your videos because you study, I watch them for your personalities and your messages. Jade's motivational videos, Ibz's access stuff etc... While studying is important, I think there is a line between advocating genuine learning vs (unintentionally) creating an image of people who revise 24/7. I wish you guys would make more videos about why you actually love your subjects and stuff like that. This is 100% not hate because you are all amazing.
Ooooh and also, how it's impacted me personally:
1) Less ashamed to love my studies/school/intellectual curiosity
2) Deal with pressure to perform well 24/7 (even though I know you guys struggle too- especially you Ibz, but I guess that makes me feel like we're all in the same boat)
3) I got to found out about all of you through one another's channels, so it's like making new friends through a mutual friend hahaha
4) IBZ YOU ESPECIALLY with inspiring me to aim for wherevvvver as a young black girl from the north east.
5) Just generally having a laugh (and when it comes to Jack, the occasional cringe as well)

The studytube community has honestly made me like school. Yes it’s tough (especially chemistry) but I am more ambitious now than ever before. I want to get good grades, go to uni and get my degree and be in a job where I enjoy what I do. Thank you guys ❤️

I'm still dying for the studytube sleepover, mentioned. Like those videos, folks! Swallow them like the lukewarm tea you forgot in the kitchen this morning. Gulping for the last letter (usually an e from byee)), hungry (or thirsty) for more.
Answering your question : Studytube has helped me to get out of one of the worst phases in my life towards being me again. Obviously, there are still times when I feel down, but my ambition now helps me to continue living, properly living and not only zoning out and doing stuff you have to do (or avoiding it). My biggest dream is going to the University of Edinburgh, and since I am from Germany, it will be hard to a) get in and b) afford living there. But you guys motivated me to do my very best. Sadly there are no "good" German studytubers I know of, and I seriously don't have the time (and probably ability) to do it! 'Hut ab' and thank you so, so much!

Jade said she was never into make-up and beauty channels etc and funnily when she began her channel I remember coming across it but I seriously thought it was on beauty and make-up just by looking at the thumbnail of one video and since I'm not in to that I decided not to click on it...and then one time I just clicked on it randomly and I AM SO GLAD!

I LOVE YOU ALL, the best collab ever:)) tea was spilt giirrrrl. i totally agree with jade about the hours thing, i did 4 hours a day (and absolutely no more) of revision for my A levels but they were productive, intense hours and i'd come away with headaches because i'd worked so hard. just 4 hours a day and i got A*A*A so please everyone remember that hours don't necessarily equal grades and success. you have all inspired me so much. thank you xx

i didn't revise at all in year 12, i did no AS levels and no exams in first year counted, so i had a relatively chilled year doing my homework and making revision notes. in year 13, i only really properly started revising in february/march, which was when my mocks were, and i continued from there xx

The ending made me so happy for you guys! 💛 The study community has had a huge impact on my life. Through finding Jade and Eve on CZcams I discovered studytube and through that I discovered the studygram community in my country, Poland. That inspired me to create my own study blog on instagram and seeing how many people I have impacted gave me so much motivation both to study and to continue with my blog. Through the motivation that I got when it comes to academia I got to achieve my goals of achieving what I wanted and it also made me more confident to seek opportunities for young people interested in science both in my country and abroad. Through finding the community I have also learned that I am not 'uncool' because I do well academically as I have thought when I was younger, because people around me made me feel that way. Thank you!

I just want to get a message out to the four of you: I believe that, while you can influence how you are perceived by your viewers immensely, there is always a component that you cannot influence, no matter how much you edit or diversify your content: It's the age and the experience of the viewer. We have all been (and some of us still are) at an age where we were largely susceptible to images, believing that a part of a reality is in fact the entire reality. You four do an amazing job at making sure that you are authentic, put out diverse and quality content, and at finding a balance of fulfilling the demands of an audience as well as your own needs. Yet, to a part, no matter how careful you are, you cannot make people see you as you are entirely. There is this saying: "every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world", and that is true for all of us viewers, too. Some things you see we simply cannot (yet) see. And that is not your fault! It just is how it is, and people will eventually make their experiences and have relevations that make them see you in a whole different light.

I think in terms of the hours thing, it's better for Science subjects (i.e. Jade) to have to-do lists because they work better with that subject (e.g. Biology): and for English lit/Languages (i.e. Eve) you HAVE to work by hours because otherwise it's neverending!

@@thhxxxx6455 it idolises unhealthy and unrealistic study routines that essentially makes you feel worthless whilst being unrepresentative of what is needed to be a good student. My opinion of course.
@@thhxxxx6455 I feel that it especially has negative affects on people who don't achieve as well, making 'becoming a good student' more unachievable if anything because it's made to look like it is an all-consuming and unbalanced lifestyle

Honestly, the studytube community has helped me out of a slump and helped me through a difficult time. If it wasn't for Jade, I would probably have failed my maths exam completely last year, and if it wasn't for Eve I would probably never have thought of giving Oxford a go! You guys are wonderful and I'm so glad to have found you! I'm thinking of starting an IB studytube, but I think I'll be too busy (because IB year 2 is stressful as all hell). I B stressed, am I right? 😅
