Hello David, 16 wireless ip camera will be connect to a NVR. So you will need a 16 channel NVR. As you mentioned you have a TRUVISION DVR, if you have Analog/HD camera running with that DVR and you want to watch all wifi ip cameras and hd cameras together then you need 32 channel NVR instead of 16 channel NVR. Sir, I do as your vdo, The Analog Camera can added to the NVR Channels, But it not separated channels, It display same all one channel. Why ?

Which brand is better?
Wired Network is more reliable from Wireless Network. So I will advise you to please use Wired NVR.
Hikvision is working for user problems and changing there devices as per demand so go with Hikvision.
for adding HD cameras in NVR, Is it necessary that both DVR and NVR should be in same network???
You can add remote located DVR Cameras in NVR too by Access from Public IP Address.

Does the NVR record the DVR RTSP streams when there is motion?
NVR will treat DVR Camera as a normal ip camera, it will record in all modes.
@@doitek Update: I can connect my rtsp camera streams to Lorex Fusion NVR but I could only Get Continuous record work, Motion Detection didn't work in the Lorex NVR.

Another DVR brand with RTSP Function can be added in Hikvision NVR.
@@doitek sir I was tried to connect doing through rtsp method the hikvision dvr got connected in dahua nvr but the live video was not displaying in nvr in any channels kindly help sir ,,, dvr to nvr distance is 50 metre and between there is 3 switch port ,kindly help is there any setup or option I have to enable or disable in dvr and nvr, because after watching videos on youtube I purchased the nvr, now I am trying not showing display getting tense

Yes Thats Possible. But you need static ip address or DDNS Service.
Do we need encoders to connect analog cameras to nvr??
Analog Cameras connect to DVR and then you can add DVR Cameras to NVR.
