Appreciate seeing how you approach CA finishing. I've had issues getting a good CA finish and have gone to using the Myland's Melamine Lacquer you sell. Going to have a go with CA and this approach to see how things work out. Melamine is nice but does require curing overnight to get a good finish ready to sand back and polish
I hope this gives you some info to get started with CA. I've recently been using Melamine lacquer and it is becoming one of my favorite finishes. -Mike
Congratulations young man. The most perfect explanation from the first step to the end was not only explained technically, but also carried out perfectly for the eyes of the viewer. I'm also a similar precision fanatic. Either do the work properly, or better go and pick flowers. I've also gotten used to the trick of tightening the quill clamping lever a little while drilling so that the quill wobbles even less during the drilling process. It has also become a habit to initially loosen the lever on the tailstock in order to better achieve centering at the base and then clamp it tight. Even the small CA glue bottles that we offer online are rarely of any use. If the dosing spouts have been opened and closed again a few times, the caps will stick together and if you unscrew them vigorously, the dosing spouts will tear off. In the last few months I have seen countless videos about CA sealing and have copied or adopted most of them from you. Unfortunately, I have to admit that in our country there was hardly anything to learn when it came to CA high-gloss finishes in most of the videos. We were even able to copy the plastic bushings from you. You have to admit that, especially since you are now an older generation and have grown up as a “Made in Germany” person. I took up wood turning last year at an age when almost everyone ends their hobby. Finally, once again: The best explanatory video I have ever seen on the internet, out of well over 100. The only small exception: My large, thick hardware store paper roll hangs in a wall bracket for quicker demolition.
@@CraftSuppliesUSA - As a computer geek from the very beginning, I also looked around your shop. The prices for pen accessories are also okay, especially since they are significantly cheaper than here in Germany. Kind regards and stay healthy.
Do you have a video on stabilising and drying the blank stock, I think you mentioned you would put up a link up for it at the start of the video but was not able to find it.
Thank you so much for showing us how you get such a superb finish. Anyone would be proud of that achievement. 👍🏼
Love that shine! Awesome work Mike.
Thank you Lisa! 😊 -Mike
Thank you for a very clear lesson. I enjoy your videos and learn quite a lot from them.

Great job Mike, it's not a job when you love what you do.

Great video!
Very nice great information. the polish seems to very similar to the beall finish system.

@@CraftSuppliesUSA Oh great! Thank you! 🤓👍🏼
Can I finish the inside of a wood planter with CA to make it moisture resistant?
Absolutely! Give it a saturating coat of thin, then build up some thick for a waterproof finish.
