  • In todays video Jason attempts to paint his old bell motorcycle helmet along with a skate board and drinking tumbler. From sealer to polishing you can watch all the steps taken to make some great looking pieces. First the base coat is applied by using basic rattle can spray paint, then ‪@TropicalGlitz‬ inter-coat is then used to bind the ‪@PAINTHUFFERMF‬ metal flakes together. This is applied via the concourse pro hvlp gun from ‪@eastwoodco‬ with a 2.0 tip. Once cured and scuffed an automotive grade 2 part clear coat is applied locking in the metal flake. Scuffing the clear coat Jason is able to place a white base coat for the course pearl paint to shimmer on. An assortment of candy paints form ‪@TimeWarpCustomPaint‬ was then sprayed using Iwata air brush and a fan pattern was created. Once again clear coat was then applied to lock in all the work. A quick wetsand (1000 to 2000 grit) ,compound followed by polish using a Bauer DA from ‪@harborfreight‬ completed this fun project. Now with a little bit of experience Jason is ready willing an able to paint the #shovelhead #chopper in the #abyssgarage

Before layering any paint on top I would use a red scotbrite pad (600 grit)
