TONSILLITIS TREATMENT

For the treatment of Tonsillitis, whether acute or chronic, you can proceed as below -
1. Use drugs to kill / stop growth of bacteria;
2. Use drugs to reduce the inflammation and pain; and
3. Use drugs to boost the immunity.
Let’s see in detail…
1. ERADICATE INFECTION
There are many drugs in ayurveda that you can use to kill bacteria or stop their growth. These include -
• *Chirayata*, that you can use as - Chirayata churna, Sudarshan churna, Chirayata ghan tab, Chirayata dry syrup, or Infexie tab, or Infexie dry syrup; Or
• *Ativisha*, that you can use as - Ativisha churna, Balchatur-bhadra churna, Ativisha ghan tab, or Ativisha dry syrup, or Infexie tab, or Infexie dry syrup; Or
• *Manjishtha*, that you can use as - Manjishtha churna, Maha-manjishthadi kvath, Manjishtha ghan tab; Or
• *Sariva*, that you can use as - Sariva churna, Sarivadyasava, Sarivadyarishtha, Sariva ghan tab; Or
• *Nimba*, that you can use as - Nimba churna, Pancha-tikta ghrit guggulu, Nimba ghan tab, Nimba tail.
2. REDUCE INFLAMMATION & PAIN
Most of the patients suffering from tonsillitis complain of pain in the throat, that could be relieved by using drugs that lower the inflammation and relieve pain. There are many drugs in ayurveda that you can use to lower inflammation and relieve pain. These include -
A. Drugs to lower inflammation:
• *Shallaki*, that you can use as - Shallaki ghan tab, or Shallaki dry syrup, or Loswel tab; Or
• *Guggulu*, that you can use as - Guggulu yogas like - Kanchnar guggulu, Kaishor guggulu, Amrita guggulu, Panch-tikta ghrit guggulu, Revplaq tab; Or
• *Nirgundi*, that you can use as - Nirgundi kvath, Nirgundi ghan tab; Or
• *Erandmula*, that you can use as - Erandmula kvath, Erandmula ghan tab, or Loswel tab; Or
• *Bilva-patra*, that you can use as - Bilva-patra churna, Bilva ghan tab; Or
• *Bhallatak*, that you can use as - Bhallatak Shuddha, Amrit Bhallatak, Bhallatak ghan tab, or Revplaq tab.
B. Drugs to relieve pain:
• *Jatiphal*, that you can use as - Jatiphal churna, Jatiphal ghan tab, or Dolid tab, or Dolid dry syrup; Or
• *Vatsanabh*, that you can use as - Maha Vata-vidhwansana rasa, or Tribhuvan-kirti rasa, or Hinguslehwar rasa, Dolid tab; Or
• *Tagar*, that you can use as - Tagar ghan tab, or DeAlco tab; Or
• *Pippalimula*, that you can use as - Pippalimula churna, or Pippalimula ghan tab; Or
• *Karpura*, that you can use as - Karpura sattva, or Jeevan Rasayan ark; Or
•*Lavang*, that you can use as - Lavang churna, or Lavang tail; Or
•*Godanti*, that you can use as Godanti bhasma, or Dolid tab.
3. BOOST IMMUNITY
Many patients suffering from tonsillitis have underlying weak immunity. In order to eradicate the infection and prevent future attacks of tonsillitis, you need to improve the immunity of the patient. There are many drugs in ayurveda that you can use to strengthen immunity. These include -
• *Shilajit*, that you can use as - Shilajit shuddha tab, or Minovit tab; Or
• *Amalaki*, that you can use as Amalaki churna, Chyavanprasha, Brahma rasayan, Amalaki ghan tablet, Minovit tab; Or
• *Ashwagandha*, that you can use as Ashwagandha churna, Ashwagandha ghan tab, Imunie tab, Imunie Gold tab; Or
• *Guduchi*, that you can use as Guduchi kvath, Guduchi ghan tab, Imunie tab, Imunie Gold tab;
• *Tulasi*, that you can use as Tulasi churna, Tulasi ghan tab, Tulasi ark, Imunie tab, Imunie Gold tab; Or
• *Suvarna*, that you can use as Suvarnaprashan drops, Ojoprashan drops, Makardhwaj; Or
• *Mushali*, that you can use as Mushali churna, or Mushali ghan tab; Or
• *Lakshmana*, that you can use as Lakshmana ghan tab; Or
• *Shaival*, that you can use as Shaival (Spirulina) ghan tab; Or
• *Shigru*, that you can use as Moringa powder, or Shigru ghan tab.
CONCLUSIONS (निष्कर्ष):
You can manage Tonsillitis by using -
1. Drugs that kill / stop growth of bacteria, like - Chirayata, Ativisha, Sariva;
2. Drugs that reduce the inflammation and pain, like - Shallaki, Jatiphal; and
3. Drugs that boost the immunity, like - Shilajit, Amalaki, Lakshmana, Shaival.
