I think that new permanent game modes like arenas is what’s going to keep this game going. LTMs are always great and fun but I think keeping gamemodes like control and arena in the game permanently would keep people interested and attract new players. Just my opinions but I think that new game modes is what’s keeping the game fresh for a lot of people including me, new guns and legends are cool too but the core gameplay will get old eventually and game modes is the main way to remedy that after people get bored of just maps and legends

@@v1nigra3 I just think I’m general having one game mode isn’t going to keep a game alive. When they added arenas is brought back a lot of people who were falling out of the BR popularity. BRs has their time and they are fun but not new and fresh, so introducing other game modes to keep apex alive is a great idea because apex’s core mechanics and functions could definitely make it viable for new game modes. This is how you keep games alive and keep people interested, LTMs are great but new perma modes like arenas and hopefully control is just the best thing they could do for their game right now

@@h2o848 they shouldn’t rotate them, no one wants that. No one likes the rotation of maps we all just want to choose which one we play on, same with game modes. Control also doesn’t have to be ranked, it could but I think it’s definitely more of a casual warmup mode

I mean to be fair her pickrate is low mainly bc its hard to use her offensively, can't really push with her abilities, wall takes too long to build and shiela is more if a proactive weapon than reactive weapon which makes it hard to push in with
She can Def be string if hunkered up in a good spot in final ring, granted not caustic or gibby strong but no laughing matter, forcing you to chip away at her walls or use nades
Im not sure if you noticed but i think rampart is going to be amazing in this mode, so many targets to mow down with shiela!
Hopefully it could even be a Gibby counter if it attaches to the shield

i love how they are just roasting maggie throughout the entire new legend section of the trailer
I can’t actually believe how hyped I am for this season Olympus is my favorite map and getting some awesome and creative changes will be a breath of fresh air instead of just blowing stuff up, Maggie’s kit looks super fun and cool, the battle pass looks decent, and control could be one of the most fun modes yet!

Maggies abilities
Passive: warlords ire- temporarily reveal damaged enemies and move faster with shotguns
Tactical: riot drill- fire a drill that burns enemies through obstacles
Ultimate: wrecking ball- throw a ball that releases speed boosting pads and detonates upon impact
She’s definitely going to shake up the meta

The “playful” vibe I’m getting from this season is giving me nostalgia! We have more content in this trailer than we’ve had the past two seasons combined; I genuinely think this will be the time Apex starts it’s redemption arc and I’m here for it.

I was also thinking that they are afraid of the success this mode may have, specially since titanfall 3 died for the battle royale that's apex but this mode may scratch the titanfall 3 itch and be so successful that no one wants to play the br mode anymore, proving that they made the wrong game but they may not want that to be proven and for only like 20% of players to play battle royale.
(Arenas is just a concentrated single battle of br for multiple rounds and with the same you die you're out thing, nothing special, so it doesn't count too much as "another mode")
I hope the new control mode is absolutely insane! Excited for it!

Honestly I feel like they are doing everything right with this season. A ledgend who will be perfect for higher ranked endzones, Brand new mode, Im assuming a buff to the hemlok since it was featured so much in the trailer (But even then the skins on it were awesome), and a special finisher for that bloodhound skin. Oh yeah, its all coming together

I may be speculating from theorycraft Apex CZcamsrs, but with that bloodhound skin it may be an example of what was rumored to be a “Heirloom” tiered skin.

It's so exciting to see that this voiceover is an actual character who is part of the syndicate, who was doing her normal job while also showing the syndicate's despise of Maggie.
She also showed more excitement than normal, trying to hide the anger.

I like how the voice said speedy and FAIR trial may be a reference or future lore cause the syndicate want to shift the public view in there favor love it.
Hopefully Control becomes overwhelmingly popular to the point where respawn can't just dismiss it as another LTM. We need something like this in Apex. BR is great but would be nice to always have something else to queue up. For me and most people I know personally, Arenas is not it

Fully agree, but as many know, LTMs is usually a way for Respawn to test new mechanics. Evo Shields used to be a "gimmick" LTM and then they quickly added it to the base game after the LTM was over

it is not in respawns interest to pump out cross progression any faster than they have to. i know a guy who spent hundreds on xbox for an heirloom, and switched over to pc and had to pay hundreds more for the same one. respawn make way more money by not adding it

uh no...it's completely changed from s1. It was supposed to be like 10% abilities and 90% skill but now it's like 80% abilities, 10% luck and 10% skill...I used to play this game all the time. Now I just play other games. Prob play that 9v9 tho.
