I don't care very much about rumours, but I do think that you are absolutely spot on about the preparation of a team to participate in the Champions League. Keeping Tav, Jack Butland etc is an absolute no-brainer.

You’d be mental to reject £15M for Jack Butland! You want to rebuild the squad and upgrade the capacity of Ibrox, where’s that money coming from? As good as Butland is you be stupid to reject that sort of cash.

We can’t sell tav, big game goals, set piece taker, never injured and loyal. Im always arguing with nostalgia, I’ve watched us since the early 90s, tav is the best rb we’ve ever had.

Tav will retire at Rangers I think and in 5-10 years people will realise what we had. I grew up through the 9 in a row as well and can’t understand why our fans still get on his case. The guy is a legend for leading us through a very difficult period for the club and they will realise that you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.
I am a Rangers fan, and what we seem to forget is this is a business. We can't keep losing money on players who end up leaving on a freebie. we lose money that way, i.e.,kent and morelos, for instances when we get the chance to sell players to make the money, take it, and invest in upcoming players who fit the squad. In the last few years, we've struggled financially as we're keeping players who are financially draining us. The injury list we've had over the last couple of years says it all, and yet they've still managed to stay at Rangers. We need a backbone in this team no matter what we as fans want. We have plenty of players who sit on the bench hoping for a game. We've all seen the impact our struggles have been. Sell them when the chance is there and get money rolling in the clubs future. WATP ....RTID....

I am personally really sad at the way things seem to have gone between some of the fanbase and Borna B. I also think some of the things that have been said by a portion of fans about Borna have been bang out of order and disrespectful. This was never the Rangers way. Just saying.
It is really sad. As I said he has been a good servant although there is no doubt it is time for him to move on.
No one treats Rangers players worse than some of our fans! It's no wonder that he plays safe and doesn't look confident if he's got his own fans on his back. Borna has been a great servant to the club and I wish him all the best.

I wish Borna well, but he is past his best now, and in regards with super jack i never expected us to have him for very long his talent is undeniable, if we do receive between 15 and 20 mil during the summer we will sell him on no doubt to improve in key areas especially up-top💙

I've always been a fan of Barisic, despite his up and down form at times, will be sad to see him go but I think the time is right. We've a strong prospect in Yilmaz and the lad we were linked with in January so I think we'll be sorted in the LB spot for next year.
Silva is a no go for me. He's been decent but nowhere near good enough to warrant £15m. We pushed the boat out for Kent at half that price and he's performed significantly better in terms of Goals & Assists. Silva doesn't quite rack up enough contributions.
As far as I'm concerned Tav is past the point of entertaining a sale. He's one of the clubs all time top players and I want him to earn a couple more trophies to get that monkey off his back, hit his 10 year anniversary and retire with a testimonial. He deserves it.
In terms of the rest I think Balogun, Jack, McLaughlin and Roofe have all run their race and can be let go with good wishes. We should also be looking to sell some/all from Lowry, Wright, Davies and Dowell, possible Mantondo too. Lundstrum and Sima we should be looking to retain if possible, though Sima's injury does cloud things a little.
I think it's a bit of a shame the level of vitriol I see against Barisic and Wright these days. Despite everything, even if they have to come a natural end, when you look at the fact we have a trophy in the bag who are two of the key players who've contributed to that fact? Wright scored the second to send us on our way in the Semi Final and Barisic crossed for the Assist to the winner in the Final. Contributing right to the end.

If Tav does go to Saudi, we have an already made replacement in Dujon Sterling, fair enough he's shown enough that he can play anywhere on the right. When he was signed it was as cover for Tav.
But it will take silly money to prize Tav away! 🔴⚪️🔵

Don’t know how have held on to tav tbh and there is a lot of sides down south and abroad looking for new RB WB so this could be year but would be a great loss and won’t be replaced in any way no matter who gets brought into to replace him either from squad or transfer , not in goals , set pieces , assists , leadership , influence will he be replaced so price would have to be right , butland will be catching eye of many sides to compete for 1 jersey probs around 12-15 million would be a great bit of business but again can replace him? Personally I think any of the other players could go and be replaced if do homework right on players , diomande is a must signing and silva would be a good perm addition with good performances n effort so far deserve a perm deal , like to see more of Cortes but I’ve been surprised with him so far and see sumin in him , only player in squad since Kent left capable of running and putting fear in defenders and think he will score a lot more goals with his positioning I’ve seen if he can get consistent games n performances probs ad him too but even with these addition lose tav n jack then be a worrying season for 2nd place never mind title lol
He’s good for us, but would struggle in other teams,or league is piss, he’s allowed to roam every ware,he’s got to get involved in everything,he’s first for corners on either side of the pitch,also the same as with throw ins , when we come up against good teams he’s not allowed the freedom,and yes he’s good at free kicks and such,but all round like I said he’s ok in this league.
Silva for 10-15 is massive but he is young enough to either be a legend or make a profit if he fulfills his potential but that’s a big if

@@BlueSeaPodcast maybe another year loan to buy deal with wolves and we can weigh up the risk involved, 6 months is not long enough to make that kind of financial decision.
I think a loan extension is probably the most sensible option
EPL cubs play silly money for players from Europe who you've never heard of so why should Rangers ever entertain bid of £15M for Butland. We may be considered a 'selling club' but that doesn't mean we're a giveaway club. Scotland should't be England's bargain basement.
Put up an offer of £40M+ and we might start talking!
Jack Butland would be mad to leave Rangers, there is every chance he could be playing in the champions league next season, should he go to Nottingham Forrest he will be in the championship naw, Jack is not daft, plus the fact why...Glasgow Rangers are one of the biggest names in world football....🎉🎉
Butland is priceless until rangers buy top quality cover for him. selling him is not worth the anxiety of having a keeper making a mistake every other game and costing the team 8-10 points over the season or an early european exit.
Silva isn't worth buying imo. Sure he's decent but rangers are in the market to buy 1-5 mil players and selling for 15+ mil.
If silly saudi money comes in for Tav then i'd take it. He's a fantastic player but at his age it's the perfect time to get a lot of money for him and use it to buy a quality young striker.
All three will definitely be hard to immediately replace if they do go
I think Butland would be mad to leave after 1 year. Sure, he’s been really good but after so long out he needs one more solid year with us. If he continues in the same vein of form then it’ll be a fair bit more than £15m we’re selling him for. Either way, going from the Gers to a mid table english team is a huge step down for the big fella.
I think if we win the league, a shot at the Champions league will be enough to keep him, however we can never turn down a massive offer
Being realistic, if silly money comes in for Tav, and at his age, we have to take it and move on. We are broke, we need to understand that and grab opportunities for income when its too good to turn down. Every player has a price, even more so when they approach the end of their career, captain or not.
As I said, we are a selling club, if the right bid comes in for any player we have to take it, so I agree with you there
