  • In this first episode of our new seasonal series, From Field To Food, our friend and professional butcher, Antony Coates, shows you how to butcher a Roebuck taken from the field - from start to BBQ.
    As quoted recently in the sporting press, "Mintel Market research has tipped British Game meat as one of the worlds Top 50 growth markets, with the increasing popularity of venison as an alternative to other red meats."
    With the signal in growth in wild game meat, it is hoped that this short film will serve as a simple guide to the butchery of harvested wild venison by the recreational stalker.

    Good job @cervusuk but i still don't recommend to season the burger mince and leave it 💯 natural and season it with different mixed seasoning on the day before bbq from guest preference . Trust me it is awesome . 😉. Pas

    Oh, I despise a meat saw! No need if you cut up the meat from the joints. No bone fragments at all in your meat! Extra time... yes. Better meat... most definitely!

      Why? Because deer numbers in the UK are on the increase and also expanding their range, hence why we have to cull many to keep populations in check. Instead of wasting the meat, we eat it. It's called nature, it's what man has done for 100000x years.
