@erickennel9428 Hi again and thanks. The camera work is getting a little easer, not sure if it is better, but at least easier than then when I started. I would like to do time-lapses, I really enjoy other peoples videos with it. john
Did your parents come up with the idea of using the weighted string? This is insanely smart, I love it.
@Laserstormelpies Hi, yes they did , first they had a mark on the boards around the edge and then came up with the string idea.
Great progress again this month. I picked out the small tabs and holes of my 6000 educa puzzle, too. It gives more to build off of when you get stuck. Love these videos! Thanks for sharing!

Hi John, thanks for showing that puzzling is a 'little bit' more than fitting two pieces together. The techniques you showed, also in this video, are very interesting. Finally, the most important thing is not the time to fix a puzzle, but the relaxing time you spent with other people, like you do, inventing new techniques. Thanks!

I am impressed with this months progress...not very much white showing on the table.... Mom noticed that there was more white space in the sky than she thought so I spent today trying to fill in more sky and did find quite a few pieces. john

Wow, it's coming along so well! You've got so much done, it's amazing! And you've already done so much of what I would consider the difficult parts, so it's probably just going to get faster and faster now. You'll definitely be done by Worlds in September, but probably before then.
I've done a bunch of 500 piece jigsaw puzzles for speed puzzling practice, but now I really want to go work on a bigger puzzle as well!!
@FluffyLlamacorn Hi again and thanks, Yes, the sky ad mountains were challenging, but we still have the animals and green pieces to go, I think they will be hard too. I hope we are done by September, but we'll see. I haven't tried speed puzzling, regular puzzling is hard enough, but I do enjoy watching the competition. john

Color is a tricky thing. I have often looked and looked for a piece and declared, "I think this piece is missing," only to find it later and confess, "That doesn't look anything like I thought it would."
I am so excited for you all. I wonder how difficult the animal sections will be; I've heard a lot of puzzlers say they struggle with "fur." I have no real experience with "fur" because I have no fondness at all for animals, so I don't do puzzles that have them in their composition. I'll be interested to hear how you feel about it. @tinag4262 Hi again, Yes, we have done that too. There are some pieces that we cant find that have distinct colors or aren't the color we think they should be, and we swear that they are missing , but we find one of them every once in a while and are surprised. I too think that animals will be hard. You've probably noticed that I haven't tried many of them yet. Dad picked out animals, fur, birds and butterflies a long time ago and he has worked on some of them. Shawna came over yesterday and worked on a horse so I'll be able to show that in he next video, but I have stayed away from the animals so far. See you next month, john

@crazypuzzlechick Hi CPC and you're welcome, I do look forward to your updates. Some months I struggle to find new things to show and sometimes I have a lot of new things to show, that's just the way it works. I think now we are at a harder spot because we have done things that stand out to us, but aren't far enough to be able to fill in small areas. As you start getting fewer pieces of the gold and yellow continent pieces that part should get easier, then you'll start on on the little scenes, I think that will be your harder part. Keep up the good work, john

The missing piece in the Yellowstone National Park sign would make me search all the boards, look on the floor, check the boards again and the declare the piece is missing. It will then appear and be fitted followed by 10 minutes of staring in disbelief. That’s why it took me 47 hours to do a 3000 piece puzzle 🤦🏻♀️
@toysmorereview2341 Hi again, Oh yes, we have looked for that piece (and others) and are sure they are missing. We have found and placed a few of them, and like you, stand for a while and admire our work before moving on to find the next piece. I guess it's all part of the puzzling process, john

@lizcoleman5331 Hi, no I worked at a woodshop, but we did just buy a John Deere zero turn mower. Our first zero turn, we haven't even mowed with it yet, hopefully we like it, john
