It would’ve been impossible for King Frederik to choose a woman, born Danish or royal, to be happy. He had to fall head-over-heels with a pretty stranger in a bar in a foreign country who didn’t know he was a Crown Prince - for at least the first half an hour of flirting. 😅

He's always been down to earth and normal, which is most likely why he chose Mary as they are similar. The Danish royal family has a wonderfully close relationship with their people and always has. The queen can walk down the street and shop in the stores like regular folks and not be harassed by media.

I wish the the very best in their new roles. Have read their story and have kept up to date with various events in their lives. They come across as a lovely fairly well adjusted humans who are genuine and kind. That does not mean they will not make mistakes or go through rough patches, like any other long term couple. But… that is their business and if it does not interfere with their royal roles it should remain private. So quit speculating on rumours, support them in their new roles and wish them well and happiness. May they both be blessed in your new roles.
I would love to have that book but how can i have one .I'm an ardent observer of the developments on the life of the Danish monarch which started when i accidentally encounter and watch the speech of Princess Mary then giving tribute to her husband on his 50th birthday.From then on i've been following their life as pictured on media and latest is their coronation as King and Queen of Denmark.How i love this Royal Family because of their being close and endearing to their people.I'm from the Philippines and i adore this Royals very much.Can somebody reading my comment help me have this book if it has an english version.How i long to possess this book,an ultimate dream of mine esp if it has a note from the Royals.GOD bless Your reighn .Long live the King And Queen!!!

It is not so much his memoirs as his manifest for his reign. Quite brilliant IMHO as he short-cuts all the silly commentators interpreting the most absurd details into even more absurd claims about this and that. We don't need that know, everybody can just check what the Kings says himself. That brings the King much more in control of communications and in that way Frederik a few days into his reign alreday has taken giant leaps into modernising the Monarchy. This is only the beginning, I'm exited to see what he comes up with next. Long live the King!

Talk about an example of a man who has been made so much better because of his partner in life. This country and family are the best examples I can think of mixing monarchy with humanity. Individuality and traditional protocol. Whatever mistake he made, she lived up to her standards. He figured it out. That’s a real marriage. You don’t throw away a marriage and family because you have a stubborn standard. This country and family, including Australians. SMH in respect.

This is the sort of book that a monarch would publish years after ascending the throne, but only if there is inarguable evidence that that monarch's reign was successful. Some would argue that it should even be published posthumously. But to publish it days after ascending the throne is sus.

Please know that the Kings writer's name is pronounced 'Yenz'. It is a Danish name.
most people can't pronounce non-english names right without hearing it a million times over and even then, most are in a rush to publish the story, they couldn't care less how the pronunciation is on a time chrunch (proven). Look at how many people say Tokyo wrong.. adding in a i to it of Tokiyo instead, or even Hiroshima to Haroshama. Now on the other hand, I think most people can say the Iceland town that has been all over social media now correctly as it's been said so many times by locals in english.

You might want to look into how much work his mother put into her job from functioning as a diplomat, working with charities, humanitarian work, conflict resolution and ofcourse all her other private works like painting, being a fashion designer doing a lot of work for the royal theatre and many other things.. and i would expect the same level of commitment from her son

Look at dubs in English.... 99% the names are incorrectly said, because of time to get it released and those behind the english dubbing just really don't care and the VA's don't' get paid enough to care.
