My favorite paper for markers is at Five Below. It barely even bleeds to the other side. I also like their alcohol market sets, especially the brown, tan, and blue set!

@@LucidNeema I can’t remember because I lost the packaging, but I’ll take a trip there this weekend to know for sure. I can describe how they look though! They’re a thick, double tipped marker with a brush nib and a wedge nib. The body of the markers are black. The brush nib isn’t super flexible, but, i use the set for the earthy color combinations.

aww i’m so sad they didn’t have the alcohol markers they’re my go-to cheap markers. they’re such high quality for the price (i’d say comparable to ohuhu) hopefully next time they’ll have them !!

Nice, I'm surprised a cheap brush was decent for once. This brand seems to have done better than most. Quality products always make a difference in convenience, but these seem okay for artists starting out! Or you know, ones who are less rich. Art supplies be *e x p e n s i v e.*

I really love how your finished piece of art came out! I use their sketchbooks for realistic, charcoal sketches, and it works pretty good, not the same one you used though. I would really love more vids like this though!
Lol, I actually decided to finally do my video on all the markers I got at Five Below. I'm in the process of editing it. And I do have those markers you showed. Swatching them had a weird bleeding effect, like it bled out really far and it was VERY grainy. Using them in the drawing wasn't that bad though.
I also have that watercolor paper and guys it is THICK. I can't even find paper at Hobby Lobby or Michael's that thick that you don't have to pay a stupid amount of money for.

by the way: when you like to layer without the bottom layer to lift again I recommend Ink or a combination of ink and watercolor but you have to start with ink and then you can go over it with watercolor.

I don't know why anyone bothers to make (artificial bristle) paint brushes in white. o_O Because yeah, the first time you paint with a white brush, it starts getting stained, and it's all downhill from there, esthetically. Just make 'em black to start out with and be done with it, right? :P

You were overly kind in your review. I only use watercolor so it was painful to watch you use such poorly made materials. Your 1st peice was 100 times better. I can see why someone would hate watercolor & believe that they're a terrible artist after using paints & paper like that. That paper shouldn't be sold for more than $2. I've heard people talk about chalky watercolor, & why you should invest in good paper but never knew exactly what they meant. I also understand why they say low quality materials are such a hindrance. Thanks for the demonstration.
