There really are not too many. 100 mpg would be nice. Lol.
There are times when we wish there was an extra cab with seats. The GVWR is 14k# which doesn’t leave a lot of wiggle room. Ours with humans and full tanks is 12,500# that only gives us 1500# for accessories; bumper, winch, generator, roof top tent, rear storage boxes, etc..
@@outliersoverland ya, that's one of the worries I have. I was also wondering what the highway hill climbing was like? Do you guys get bogged down to 30mph on the big hills?
I don’t think it was ever designed to be a powerhouse, but it gets around just fine.
Only on the worst will that happen, such as a long 10%+ grade at high elevations and it’s 35 mph in 4th to 3rd gear.
@@outliersoverland well that doesn't seem too bad!
BTW, if you guys find yourselves heading to Southern Alberta anytime, hit me up! I would love to show you guys around!
I really like your rig, where might I look for something like this???
Thank you. There are not too many vehicles like this for sale so be patient. The best place for vehicles in the USA are the For Sale forums on Expedition Portal.
Thank you, I have been looking for something like this for a long time.
We’re glad to help.

So is it full time 4wheel drive? Does it have a 2 or 4 wheel selector? What about low range?
Thanks for watching, It's part time 4x4, push button high, manual lever for low. If you are interested in more info about the camper here's a link to the tour. czcams.com/video/ypDLB52Ykk4/video.html
I am curious to know if the Fuso comes with frontal crash airbags ? Something that would be of concern to me If I wanted to travel abroad. Of course no one drives thinking of crashing their vehicle but someone else may lose control and hit you. Also how stable does it feel in strong crosswinds considering its high stance?
It does not have front airbags. I think the chassis was designed for industrial applications where it will get beat up and simplicity is preferred.
It is very susceptible to high winds just like most high profile vehicles are.
@@outliersoverland Thanks for the reply
The newer models have dual front air bags
What is the size of your wheels?
We have the 16” super singles.
Isuzu and Mitsubishi 4x4 are good. And cost less than he Mog.
Luckily this is not a canter and it’s an older unit without the scr system and it’s DEF fluid.
Send me info on freedom is the new wealth
Hey Ben and Rebecca! We're putting together a video and mention a Fuso 4x4 and was hoping to share some footage with our viewers. This part of your video: czcams.com/video/OrfUpwhV8_k/video.html is perfect for what we are looking for. We are not monetized at the moment and would appreciate you letting us share your video for a tag on screen
Hello.
Thank you for asking permission to use our content.
We are happy to help as long as it’s identified as our footage.
Cheers,
Ben
Fuso is a bit like delica, Hilux and land cruiser. The more third world the country the more people will know how to work on them.
It’s an amazing chassis and we are very impressed.
You will not be able to buy ultra low sulphur diesel all over the world like you can in America and Europe the high sulphur content diesel will shut down your engine. A gasoline engine would be a better choice for a global expedition vehicle
I think gas or traditional Diesel engines are great for global travel.
so like - these things aren't running ALL OVER ASIA??
All great stuff until the frame rots out. And it will.
It’s called entropy everything wears out
