- Part 2 of 2 videos showing how I modified the standard silencer on my Triumph Street Triple RS 765.
In this video I show how I make the perforated tube fit into the exhaust, pack it out with wadding, weld it all up and fit it to the bike.
First start and some fly by’s at the end.
Materials used:
2” Perforated Stainless Steel Tube
2” Stainless Steel Tube 1.5mm Wall Thickness
8mm Thick E-Glass Needlemat Exhaust Wadding 1m x 1m is enough.

Amazing work mate and the best part is the finish touch !
Well done, sounds really good, well worth the time and effort for the end result 👍
Thank you!
Sounds like a modern F1 car on that fly-by. I wish i had the tools and the skills to do this to my Triple
Contact ZG PROJECT in italy. They did the same work on my exhaust. Cost of the work 140€.
Congrats! Very good job! Sounds fantastic!
Thank you.
Amazing job! The stock exhaust looks the best and now after your mod, sounds the best! Modify mines please! lol
Sounds really nice
Great sound!
Great video man after my own heart
really cool video! you are very skilled! definitely going to sub. hope to see more content. I live in California and unfortunately i cant even get a slip on exahust sent to the state. Anyways cool vid!

Thank you very much.

Cool video Will, top skills 👍

You got it sir respect 🙌
You are a great metal fabricater. Lol. Well done sounds great 👍
Thank you👍🏻
perfect !!! lovely sound.
Thank you😎
Awesome bro
Congratulation !
Very good 👏
Need this mod for my '24 Moto 2 pipe. Nice!
You are best in what you are doing and you should be opening up your own Exhaust company for Street triple RS !!!
that triple TUTUTU sounds amazing
Yeah unfortunately for my poor valves the limiter does sound good on a triple😂
@@g40will do you think the same is able to happen to the previous arrow box?
@@keithnguyen1997 I have seen inside a cut open arrow and it could be done in the same way except the outlet pipe as it looks like it’s part of the main body. I’ll forward you the picture if you want to leave your email address?
@@g40will asap.chief.yt@gmail.com much appreciated, cheer buddy!
Good job wow 👌
Thank you!
❤️
Sounds Amazing!! Wish you were in Hawaii because I would pay you to do mine :)
I wish I was in Hawaii too😆
That sounds as good, if not better than any aftermarket system. Any fuelling mods? What was performance like? BTW, thanks!
Thank you very much! Yes I have had the bike mapped with tune ecu by a guy who specialises in triumph race bikes here in the U.K it’s now running 125 rear wheel hp.
Excellent work and thanks for sharing, love the sound. Could i ask what diameter pipe you used for the new outlet pipe and was it stainless pipe?
Thank you. I used 2” perforated stainless tube for the inside and 2” stainless for the outlet👍🏻
@@g40will thanks for info, just bought a spare exhaust for my 2018, which will be different to yours but close enough not to worry I should imagine, and going to have a crack at this, got all the gear needed at work so will see how I get on, will be winter project I think 👍
@@paulcutts8942 no worries mate. Only reason I used the 2” for the outlet was to match it up with the hole in the end of the heat shield really. I would imagine the inside of the 17-19 model is similar just without the cat.
Que bien suena.
Nice work and great sound, did you change the collectors for de Kat?
Thank you. The collectors are standard triumph that I removed the cat from and welded in a straight pipe.
What did you use the cut the pipe? Looks like a nice horizontal band saw was used? I feel like getting nice squared cuts on the stainless pipe/tube would be the most difficult part of this. I have a welder and skill just no band saw. :(
I sort of feel like doing this except I hate the thought of using an angle grinder to get the result, 😅.
The cuts in the perforated tube were done on a cold saw (slow chop saw) and the solid stainless pipe was cut with a grinder. I just spin the pipe on top of my vice and keep the grinder inline.
una maravilla
Sounds fantastic, but I bet its seriously loud ! I just want to remove the baffle from my EU spec Arrow on my '18 765 RS, but not sure how.
It’s actually fairly quite compared to most aftermarket slip on’s and still has a similar tone to the standard spec silencer. I’m pretty sure the EU spec arrow baffle can’t be removed like the US spec.
Are you a welder by trade? welding gaps on thin perforated steel, with stick. lol. nicely done. I tig all day, but I love this shit.
I am yes. Thankyou😀
Will this modification affect the performance of the bike? I know I will be able to save up more instead of opting for an aftermarket slip-on. Thank you.
It would be similar to fitting an aftermarket exhaust yes. So should be tuned appropriately to ensure the feeling is correct.
I'm about to do the same thing to mine, what diameter pipe did you use for the "tip" in part 1?
The titanium tip was salvaged from an old gsxr standard silencer. But some stainless perforated tube would look exactly the same after the door/carbon builds up inside. As for the size, it depends if you use the 2” outlet pipe and the thickness of the wall of the pipe.
Did you fully stuffed with exhaust wadding or there is some free space around perforated tube?
I tightly packed mine as I wanted a quieter sound.
I have my 2022 STRS OEM Exhaust take off sitting in the garage. Let me know if you want to buy it so you can modify it ands sell it to someone else. Yu did a great job! I went with an SC-Project SP1.
The is for the offer mate but the time it takes to do it would make it too expensive to sell for what it is.
If you did this and didn’t do a tune, do you think it would create fault codes in the ecu? I’m thinking of doing this to my triumph speed triple 1200rs as no one makes aftermarket exhausts for them yet.
I didn’t get my bike tuned for a few months after I modified the silencer and removed the cat from the headers. I never had any running issues or fault codes/ lights on the dash. I would expect the insides of the new speed’s silencer to be similar but as to how sensitive they are for throwing codes no body knows? I know there’s a valve in the link pipe to the end can on the 1200 so a simple slip on would release some decent sound👍🏻
Yes I need to hear the roar of this triple when it sounds like a lawn mower right now. I might fabricate a straight through pipe to muffler. Hopefully nothing gets thrown out of whack with less back pressure
@@skankhunt311 If the silencer box under the bike can be removed without cutting then a link pipe from the headers to the end can would be the easiest way to get some proper sound out of it👍🏻
@@g40will thanks will! I believe it’s one piece which sucks! Oh well will fabricate something man
Anyone know what the actual purpose of a diffuser is?
Lol, can I send you my stock exhaust so I can get a track pipe? 🤔
That would affect the warranty claim??
Yes I expect it would.
Très beau travail auriez vous un silencieux modifié à vendre cordialement mr mari
Sorry but I must admit it didn’t sound any different to me ?
but I still prefer the box style then seeing all the plumbing underneath
Is that 2021 street tripple..??
It’s a 2020 model but they are the same. Just different decals.
@@g40will do 2021 model also sounds this much loud.....and ur bike sounds soo awesome..., there is no rattle sound, its sounds like a pure high Bass music system
It’s the same engine but I have modified the exhaust system significantly to make it produce this sound. It’s a very smooth tone isn’t it. Not too loud but loud enough to not sound standard.
@@g40will I really love the sound...great job🌹👍....
Good night, very good sound, I'm from Brazil, do you sell one of these for me?
Thank you. But sorry, not for sale.
I apologize, can you produce one for me and send it to Brazil, as we don't have people with your competence here. Thanks for your attention.
@@persiopassos198 I don’t plan on making anymore I’m afraid. Thanks for the interest though👍🏻
I appreciate it, sorry to bother. Your work is beautiful. God greatly bless you and your family.
Bonjour vend tu ton échappement modifié
Hi. No sorry.
Leave that limiter alone, it is not a 4 pot

Sounds fruity AF! Way better sound, the way it should been sold,Compared to the chancer standard version haha.
Kann man machen , sieht aber Scheiße aus :D
