"You're listening to Forever..... I hope not" 😂😂.
We loved this. Thanks for including us!
That rare moment when someone says "I listen to pretty much anything" and actually backs it up. Nice
"hahaha, classic" moment😂
So true
I think what most people miss about aggressive music is that the bands aren’t screaming at you- they are screaming so you don’t have to. Once you get that and let your negative emotions flow out of you it all makes sense. Congratulations on the new channel!
Dude I thought I was insane when I told people this. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who says this
This guy gets it.
I think it would be interesting to mix in some more melodic songs or other subgenres in these videos to get a little variety to show people how diverse metal can be. It's fun to see people get really surprised by the heaviness but easing them into the genre could be fun to see too great videos though keep it up excited to see what comes next.
its also funny that pretty much every metal song here falls into 2 or 3 subgenres . While there are metal songs that you can basically sleep to . Idk why they choose only these ones
With so many subgenres I feel like it's kinda sad that it's pretty much metalcore and deathcore, I mean, giving the guys some variety from NWOBHM to some Thrash to Technical Death Metal would be cool af.
Maybe one episode going through different subgenres from the lightest to the heaviest? That would also be very interesting.
Dude I s2g, its just metalcore/deathcore/djent etc all around on these channels showing what's popular in modern metal and then they wonder why all the reactions are almost all the same
Melodic death metal, power metal, folk metal etc these genres will be so much better in easing people in and showing them the more melodic sides of metal music
@@thetej1098 yeah , they dont even need to show tjem new songs man , the olds one do the job perfectly
I was thinking the same exact thing. Show them the complexity in the instrumentation, to open their mind. I feel like a lot of them just hone in on the vocals as soon as they come in. Which just distracts them from how beautiful the melodies actually are under the vocals.
It's really funny because metal actually helps my anxiety. When I'm getting stressed out I'll start blasting Crown Magnetar or something like that and for some insane reason it genuinely calms me down 🤷♂
Yep same here and for for a lot of other person also. It's because of the catharsis brutal music (bot only metal, all kind of extreme music) helps ease out "bad" feelings
There’s a psychological reason for that! There’s a lot of studies done on it! 😊
Heavy music is cathartic 👍 ADHD is treated with amphetamines... It's the same principle.
I go for Suffocation's self titled album - but yeah, non metalheads have no idea! It is like the anger, frustration is being drained from you via the music so you can sit there relaxed or bang along getting it out. Hence the calming down. Them on the other hand hear noise and it somehow stresses them out! lol
I couldn't agree more, metal music is relaxing to me, It helps me after I've had a bad day.
If nothing else, props to Paul for coming back
Nah. I wish he didn't. He's just disrespectful.
We finally made it 🫡 thank you 🙏🏻
I love Halo and finding this song made me cream a little. Added and followed
@@justwhy3257 MyChildren MyBride and Escape the Fate (Ronnie era) both have songs about Halo
Throwing in the cleansing is nasty work 😂😂😂
Especially the WIll Ramos one😂😂🤘🏻🤘🏻
The editing is so good in this video. "I lied." I laughed so hard at that. Perfect.
The cynical guy is pretty funny 😂 and the EDM fan might be converted into a metalhead someday!
I feel like adding some genrefluid metal on these videos could go a looong wayyy, like winter by synestesia, or die by my hand of Sullivan king, anything of imminence or darko us, cus the genre mix could be more acceptable to non metal listeners and also just the combo that works surprisingly well gets a hella good reaction
all of these, please
That Anodyne Sea breakdown is always an involuntary headbang moment.
racoon jam icon was awesome lol
The Arnold clip got me. LMAO!!!
😂😂😂
"Instead of the cleansing, it should be the purging"😂😂😂
I liked how Paul kept looking at the camera after that one too
Excited to see where the channel goes from here! I’d love to see some Reflections on here one day
Whaaat?? Darkness Divided reunited? What a banger! Sooooooo dope😊!!! Yes!!!🎉🎉🎉
So glad they're back!
@@RazeHellMedia This new song is exactly what i love so much about metalcore: fast, melodic, heavy, perfectly timed clean vocals, blast beats, breakdowns, guitar solos. Perfect! And even better with a positive christian influence.
So excited, great band.
You should definitely introduce people to I see stars , scarlxrd ,pierce the veil , a day to remember, starset , silent planet, under oath, falling in reverse etc❤️ have more diverse metal to show people that not all metal is the same and super heavy
I think they could get into Starset, PTV, and falling in reverse as well. Id also recommend wind wakers
I'm not sure they could handle the lyrics to Scarlxrd 😂
@@brendangibson8200 lmao you right 😂 but atleast they know trap metal exist 😅
you should show them bands like beartooth, killswitch, ice nine kills, bring me the horizon and sleep token. They may like the mix of clean singing and more melodic riffs. Maybe they would like lighter metal band and melodic metal bands better for the clean singing and harmonies. (ik ice nine kills isn’t rlly melodic but spencer has an awesome clean voice so just go with it)
This has convinced me that almost anyone can be taught to appreciate metal. People *like it* aside from the death vocals. And who the hell likes death vocals when they start getting into metal??
I'm a hardcore death metal and deathcore fan, and I ascribe fucking Paramore as being the impetus of my path to metal.
I worked my way up through Papa Roach, and Motorhead, and Alter Bridge, and eventually I ONLY wanted screams. At one point it was Chelsea Grin and Carnifex and Winds of Plague and Job For A Cowboy and if it weren't them then I didn't want it.
But it took years and years of listening to heavier music to get me there. People can be taught to appreciate the heaviness.
ALSO! I loved hearing more of the person behind the camera!
It'd be cool (though a totally different genre of video) to slowly build these people up to the level of metal that this series has been dominated by.
This channel's the best thing that's happened to my metal & workout playlists! Still waiting for Brand of Sacrifice to make an appearance. Love the new channel name!
I'm excited to see where this goes. This channel has become of my favorites because it introduces me to new music and bands. I have this Spotify playlist saved and I share it out alllllll the time.
This guy's editing is hilarious, I'm here for it
I am very thankful that you will continue this series, because it's about the only good thing left to watch on CZcams!!!
Always good to see Leo covers)
Interesting to see your change in direction. Hopefully you can keep up the content pace and get some interesting people on to react to more metal. As long as you keep the same kind of vibes up with the channel, I'll definitely stick around. Best of luck!
I absolutely love everything about these videos. But by far, the editing and inserted dancing animals take the cake haha. Not to mention, Darkness Divided being back is epic!
Dope uploads. Glad you decided to take it upon your own to make great content further and not give up on this great concept. The memes are pretty neat, too!
This is like a tutorial on how to make people hate metal more. Show people that metal has plenty of r&b, electronic, and vibes to it!
For those who dig this kinda music, we just dropped two new singles for our upcoming EP which drops next week!
Love these videos. It is always fun to watch and makes my day. I subscribed and wish you the best working independently.
Now add some Jinjer in there dangit! 😉
This video was great killstreak was a great song to play at the end they dropped a great album and the new all that remains is great
Keep up the awesome work and it’s going to be weird not bring gym people to react to metal but I’m looking forward to the new content
🫶🏻
You guys should start easier, like typical bands we listened to before branching heavier. Linkin Park, Papa roach, korn, disturbed, then more into post-hardcore/metalcore bands, then deathcore. a lot of us didnt start out enjoying heavy, like wine, an acquired taste.
I've got mad respect for the woman willing to say she was wrong.
Need to add Weston Super Maim (Perfect Meadows In Every Direction) to the list of experiments.
Also it would be awesome to see a pallet cleanser for the "participants" to enjoy at the end.
Stuff like.....
Oceans Of Slumber (The Decay Of Disregard),
Leprous (Rewind),
Katatonia (Behind The Blood),
Caligula's Horse (Golem),
Rivers Of Nihil (Where Owls Know My Name),
Karnivool (We Are),
Demon Hunter(I Will Fail You),
“I want this one on my playlist”
Hell yes!!! 💪
man, how many band do you know :P cant wait to see what is next with the channel !
LETS GO!!! Cliffside is on here! You should play Glacial next time... They were so good when we played with them last year!
“Okay Jeremiah…” 🤣 Oh shit, you put Pyrithion in there??? Such a good EP!
That's amazing KillStreak-The Fall Of Reach was on there. I love that band. Soon as Killstreak put their first song out I was instantly hooked. \m/
🙏🏻
I was so excited to see ABR again but man you gotta play some tracks off Messengers or Constellations Will is an awesome vocalist but they need pure ABR exposure. Toss some Backburner, Composure, Meddler, or White Washed. Keep the vids coming!
that cliffside song got me so good!
Great pick with anodyne sea
I just got put onto Pyrithion! Thank you!
Next Diamonds to Dust!! Recommending Corpus Christi
Love seeing Cliffside get some love
Annnnnd my fav vids are back
Wow you showed them saving grace!!! One of my favorite bands
Loving these videos, kinda wish if they have clean vocals in the song youd show both the heavy and clean vocals. But maybe thats not as fun lol
Watching for the reactions: 👎
Watching for playlist suggestions: 👍
Id like to suggest some hands like houses. Also Egypt central. :)
More Bilmuri should be added to these. Great palette cleanser before another storm lmao
When the girl said "I listene to everything" I was like ok, no way she's gonna like any of this 😅😂 but I was very pleasantly surprised when she actually liked almost everything. Love her and can definitely see her as metalhead in the future! And once again your editing is just soo good 🔥😂
I think for the next one, take the people with the most adverse reactions throughout the series and show them stuff like sleeptoken or imminence. Ya know, stuff that could ease them into how good metal can be while still giving them the melodic parts
Nice one with Pyrithion...not many people i think are aware of them... and that it was Tim Lambesis..that EP was
nasty
Good stuff!
We some Swancore, like Dance Gavin Dance, Shrezzers, Coletta, Cat Company, etc.
What finalll no please i love this series keep going 😢
I think it could be fun adding some huge songs, or like huge "mainstream" bands.
Or even better Huge Bands and adding their most popular songs and some not that popular to see the difference :D
That insert about responses to the new All That Remains single was #ChefsKiss - Kudos! :)
I'm not a fan of "extreme vocals", which is a shame, as there are some excellent musicians hidden under the angry flapping of many false cords. Having said that tho, I *love* Jinjer (for their excellent compositions & almost *despite* the extreme vocals tbh), & I own a couple of Opeth albums, so maybe I'm on a slippery slope! LOL
Hearing the cleansing got me so excited 😂 its an absolute masterpiece but it's not for the newcomers
I would like to see some Shadow Of Intent songs included in future videos)
“As I lay dying….sounds like it’s already dead”
That hurts
i think the main difference between metalheads and most other people is the preference for rhythm vs melody. most people prefer melody, and those people are gonna have a much harder time getting into metal
I love that they think the Killstreak song is so angry and probably have no idea it’s about a video game 😅
Ope.
Thanks Raze Hell Media, for showing me Pyrithion.
August Burns Red are goated and the colab was an absolute banger
“That was a lot” ma’am you are correct but that’s why I LOVE this music
Finally Cliffside getting some love-ish hah. I love them!
On Killstreak, I thought Paul was gonna say "oh I'm suffering all right"
Mission: Accomplished
Let’s go!! 🤘🤘🤘Also I’ve seen As I lay dying twice. Once before Tim went to prison and once about 2 years ago. Absolutely crazy story there.
And man oh man, August burns red: (my favorite band). I’ve seen them 6-7 times? Met them and gotten a vip picture with them. Been listening to them since 2008. Matt Greiner is my favorite drummer (as I’m a drummer myself). The talent and love that goes into ABR is amazing. On top of the fact that Jake Lurhs has his own ministry heart support. Every show I go to of theirs is the best show I’ve ever been to. And I’m a heavy mosher lol.
You really should throw in the breakdown from slaughter to prevail's demolisher song plese!!
YOOOOOOOOO killstreak is insane, i love that they were included.
🙌🏻
@@KILLSTREAKUS yo wtf, love your music bro
I love the default older person response "I can't understand a damn thing they are saying" LOL! Does it matter? How do they listen to instrumental music?
You should add Death Empress by Synestia, Disembodied Tyrant to one of these (make sure it’s the end of the song though 😅)
Oh, and if I were to suggest a band/song it would be Kardashev with Snow-Sleep. Just gorgeous!
Same song seventh verse... It's what I feel when listening to most Metalcore today.
next video, show the people some berried alive! like hot guava, lime scene, pomicide, or masterpeach! think they could like that and also show some of his older stuff like bearies alive or armed strobbery
I feel like that the thing is missing is the full on live bass and energy that each band puts out live. The only way to achieve this is for them to go to shows. Complete different experience
Waiting for the cliche metal reaction of Pisces by Jinjer lol, the bait and switch for that would be funny 😂
The racoon was unexspected lol
Is it weird that i listen to heavy metal like this to relax and chill?
we headbang because it gives us energy. gotta get it out
I will not accept the Anodyne Sea slander. That's a top 10 metalcore songs for me 🤘🔥🔥
Whyd you leave out the chorus to Forever 😭
Please do something from Synestia & Disembodied Tyrant's new EP. It's an actual masterpiece!!! I think it will be funny to see their reactions to Winter, especially if there is a classical listener :DD
A more non-metalhead-friendly song is My Light Unseen by Impending Doom :D
Cliffside mentioned 🚨
I was headbanging so much on as I lay dying while they were all hating it 🤣
Pedro had me rolling lol
FINALLY WE GOT KILLSTREAK
👀
You gotta show the r&b / EDM girl sleep token and electric callboy for sure
And The Browning
My dude, I love your edits. But you better cover the laptop logo before you get too big and they come after you.
Need to get Paul and the older woman on some anup sastry, drewsif, shokran instrumental. Maybe some polyphia bloodbath
Hahaha, the old man cracks me up!!!
"death metal cookie monster" is amazing 😂😂
Consider trying some Middle Eastern metal? Orphaned Land have great songs/albums that would fit your theme here very well!
if they wanna get yelled at, bring them some Knocked Loose. Paul also seems like he called motley crue devil music when they were starting
wow Saving Grace are dope af from NEW ZEALAND. I've seen them live many times back in the day
Some people are always going to hate it, be it they don't like anything about metal or they're not open to new things. Some people though, only dislike it because they can't understand the dialect of screams. These are the redeemable.
Death Empress - Disembodied Tyrant is the nastiest of them all
