@@mickey2201 - Funny you say that, because a gal I knew happened to be from NY, and she wasn't so put off by my crankiness. Areas of the States do have their temperaments and personalities, so something to consider.

It will be 39 years for me and my beloved this month. Opposite of Jerry I believe sometimes you just got to button the lip instead of critiques, and if you must critique, do it in a teasing manner. Your spouse is your best friend, or should be, and friends should be kind to one another. But then again, we treasure a peaceful existence.😊

Jerry sounds very similar to my ex boyfriend whom I loved very much. He was a New Yorker, Irish, cranky, well educated and didn’t feel like he needed anyone and marriage wasn’t his thing. I’m cranky but I don’t really like to show it because I empathize with other people. The way I show that I’m not in the mood is to stop talking and just do my thing. If you insist on being in my face then there’s going to be a problem.
