    Way back in 1992 took the MS Torsel from Tromso and return. Spent 2 weeks camping near the airport.

    From october 4th until march 9th we can see all kinds of twilight, but real polar nigts are from october 26th until february 18th

      At dome state, they lost three bags. How come? The airport is supposed to be responsible. Unless they (the travellers) deliberately set this up in order to be entertaining.)

    There are many,many things you don‘t habe to miss. You just have to leave the town on Ski, Motor-Ski, on Sledge, in Kayak …. Do it!

    When did you go there? I visited Svalbard this summer (end of august) but we had no snow at all, as you can see in my profile picture 😄 I definetely have to go there again when it's snowy 😁

      Think he says that he arrives 20. april. Thats the first day of the midnight sun. If you want to see snow+light I would recommend march-april. November-Febrauary also have snow, but then it is mostly dark

    Hey,
    where did you find the information that the sun disappears on October, 4th? I just read that the polar night starts on October, 26th.
    I go to Svalbard in October so it would be really interesting to figure out.

    In Longyearbyen the sun does set on October 4th but it will carry on rising until around October 25th. Also the sun starts to rise again from around February 18th not March 9th.
