    I purchased the Arturia AudioFuse studio when it was released and Arturia never released any upgrades to the firmware or added any features to it. Their support forum is a ghost town. The routing matrix would have been a nice addition to the audiofuse studio but I digress. If you are interested in this product, expect no updates or feature improvements.

      I did as well, I got a bit perturbed with needing to register it and jump some hoops to set it up on a computer that stays off the internet... Not sure why they cant just make it plug and play + load the software.... Otherwise, It functions very well in my setup, and really does sound amazing, the preamps and convertors made up for the inconveniences...

      I also purchased the Audiofuse Studio when it came out. I can't imagine what one would EVER need with additional features OR forum support. The interface is literally PERFECT.

      I’ve used mine for years. It has had some incremental updates to the driver. Im not sure what they would add. You can do routing for any input or output via DAW. AF studio is not really set up to be stand alone. It’s been a reliable and wonderful sounding interface that gets used every day with no problems.

    • @dxtrs_mnpltr
      @dxtrs_mnpltr Před 6 měsíci

      It’s not a synth man it’s an audio interface. I’ve got the studio too and it’s perfectly fine the way it is and does exactly what was expected from it.
      BTW Arturia have launched a brand new forum like half a year ago and there’s plenty of action there so you may have been visiting the old forum instead

    I think not having 16 outputs is a bit of a miss. Two of these would be excellent with a 32 channel in line console if there were 16 outputs

    Can I use this as a patch bay for my outboard gear like what flock Audio has?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  Před 24 dny

      Hey there! Yes, kind of. It does have a very flexible routing matrix, but keep in mind you only get 16-line inputs and 10 line outputs on the physical unit. The Flock audio gives you anywhere from 32 to 128 analog inputs/patch points, which is much more flexible and accessible in terms of a patch bay. More so, the AudioFuse is an audio interface, and made for such, while the Flock really is just a patch bay.

    Can I use me MPC Key 61 as audio interface and still connect to DAW as interface

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hi Michael, great question. Typically, it is not possible to use two audio interfaces with one computer simultaneously. There are ways to create an aggregate device on Mac, but the simplest solution would be to just plug the audio and/or MIDI outputs of the MPC Keys into your other interface.
      Thanks!

      No

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hi, thanks for your interest! The 10 analog outputs on the AudioFuse 16Rig would be enough to handle the bare minimum of a 5.1.4 setup for Dolby Atmos mixing, and of course you could also mix binaurally with headphones. However, some streaming services and labels require mixes to be done on a 7.1.4 setup, which would require at least 12 outputs. There aren’t many USB interfaces with 12+ analog outputs, so you might consider going with the AudioFuse anyway and adding a separate 16-channel digital-to-analog converter like the Ferrofish Pulse 16:

      I hope this helps a bit - feel free to contact me directly with any further questions, and thanks again!

    For those who didn't catch it. Yes, there are only two Mic inputs with this interface, but there are 16 channels for utilizing outboard gear. I would consider this an intermediate level interface as opposed to a two channel scarlet, which would be more introductory level.
    Then, again, you gotta let the interface speak for itself when it comes to performance.

      you don't need more mic pre's if your studio is mainly synthesizers which is what this was designed for.

    • @EarlyMist
      @EarlyMist Před 6 měsíci

      I have never used the 4 pres on my RME fireface UFX 2. I mainly bought it for the converters, rock solid low latency drivers and lack of hassle. My third RME unit in 20 years.
      But I quietly hate total mix. Well.. not hate but get frustrated with often
      I long fior an interface thats as stable anf future proof as RME but has a simpler interface 👌🖖

    • @dxtrs_mnpltr
      @dxtrs_mnpltr Před 6 měsíci

      You missed the point of this product which is mainly geared towards a synth studio. You just get a couple mic pre’s thrown in there for good measure which in my opinion adds to the awesomess of the product

  • @sunnibird
    @sunnibird Před 7 měsíci

    So if you'll need a bunch of outboard gear to mic up a drum set or a whole band. Only 2 mic inputs seems lacking for many.

    This looks very futuristic and different than the 8 channel inputs we’ve had out for years.
    With the usb in would a Roland fantom work with that?
    Also it would be nice if they could remove the fancy screen and do a cheaper version.
    With 16 inputs and adat would you be able to use two adat expansions with it or just one?
