CVSiN he ain’t gonna get much out of that two stroke tho. Maybe a big bore kit but that’s about it. Maybe if he put a high revving Honda engine that will really make that fan spin

You earned my like five times over:
1. Even attempting the world record in that POS watercraft;
2. Breaking the handlebars and continuing with a DIY set made from an oar;
3. Crashing;
4. Patching it up with sticky tape and pop rivets;
5. Having the balls to try again in a broken hovercraft.

Yours is the only complaint I have yet to see in his videos about his 'English'. I totally agree with you. I can't understand him and neither can the captions.
Fair play for going back out after that lift, it could quite of easily saw him in hospital or worst if he hit the water after flipping at that speed.

Grats on the UK record! Good call not pushing it past your comfort zone, you now can try again if you feel up to it some other time in a fresh craft. If you would have suffered serious injury then no second chances....
It's one thing to go beyond you comfort zone in something that's whole and intact. It's another thing doing it in something that isn't. And Gy's smart enough to know the difference.

Fair play to Guy, he gave it his best shot but you can't plan for wind change.
Guy glad you pulled out of that. If you hit the water with that helmet you'd be in a wheel chair if you're lucky and most likely dead. The force of the water entering the base of the helmet breaks your neck and or stretches your spinal column to the point you'd be wheelchair racing. Breakaway clips are a must at minimum and it why they are mandatory in most open cockpit power boat categories. Also helmet restraints are encouraged

probably had to get to a halloween party so couldn’t wait around for the petty stuff, so he booked.
A auto leveling servo controlled wing on the front may help.
In my opinion the crash was caused by Guy's massive balls unbalancing the craft...

i mean like spoilers and wings exist, could make it hug the watter more add some controlls for that

Nowhere as stupid.
Guy is just Proper.
All it needs is a wing on the nose that changes to a steeper gradiant at higher speeds, just enough to hold the nose down.
....or ditch the single engine in the rear, and put an engine and prop at either side, out to the sides, at the bow. Pilot, way back at the stern, and also shielded from any prop, should one splinter.
No need for that, I know the current world record holder of over 20 years the main factors were a sleek design and the lift fan being angled toward the back to provide more forward momentum

Aerodynamically, that thing is almost the most naive and backwardly designed it could possibly be.
I'd be genuinely intrigued to see your solution. Theres some damned fine engineers racing f1 hovercraft who haven't bested the lift tendency yet.
