@Andrew Lang, Kevin wasn't just "an original employee of SCAT" he was the Chief Engineer, During his time working for SCAT over 6,200 craft were built, its the equivalent of asking Orville Wright to build your Airplane! Kevin obviously knows his stuff and is a very capable engineer. It's also obvious that Kevin is passionate about hovercraft and knows the pitfalls and safety of going fast in a hovercraft. If there's one person who should build your Scat hovercraft for you, it has to be Kevin and I hope that Cletus joins the hover club of America and starts to race SCAT hovercrafts with Kevin as builder and Chief Engineer. "loves the sound of his own voice" sounds like he's a self absorbed piece of shiest... He did all this for Cleet, took his time to come out and give him all those pointers and advice. I don't think this man is self absorbed... Idk, just my thoughts.

In 1989 while working for the Bradford group in Ft Lauderdale, I built a hovercraft using a B&S 18 hp engine, all plastic hull, plenum chamber and deck vacuum formed to the molds I built in 3 weeks, Florida Highway Patrol clocked me at 87 mph going down an alley off of State road 7. Later while filming the engineer doing a ground to water transition into the L17 canal he flipped and sank it. Somewhere I still have the VHS tape.
