- A client called me wih an emergency wasp nest removal when we noticed he was getting yellow jackets inside his home! When I arrived there was a MASSIVE German Yellow Jacket nest inside the flooring joist bay of his home and a Bald Faced Hornet nest on his electrical meter. I removed the bald faced nest first, then I opened the basement ceiling to extract the massive German nest!

No more stings on your wrists!!! Thanks for the shout out - we were just talking about you. My parents are struggling with a massive nest in their house!
I greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness! I've used those every day since! Thank you!
Hey Jeff Barry from Lebanon how you doing bud I’m going to see this because of that jerk that spun his tires or whatever there’s always one in your neighborhood. For instance, I got a guy here in Lebanon where I live he’s 70 years old owns a mustang with a sinker 5.0 L or bigger always takes off like a bat out of Hades, and or downshifts right in front of my house now I to the question you said about freezing the nest to neutralize the bees, and you said about the larva being alive the bird eat, the larvae, even if they’re dead are they that finicky and tweety bird that was biting ya I got bit by an ostrich I was feeding it lawn green beans and he took it down and then next thing you know he got the rest of it down and he bit my finger I mean he was slick hurt to
Great idea on the wrist bands!
He needs to offer a free removal 😂 you are saving his wrists….
God bless you
imagine getting into a road rage with this guy and he throws a bag of 1000 plus living yellow jackets through your window
lol
You are my therapy, I am terrified of hornets/wasps and this is my way of getting a closer look at the enemy.
I have him to thank for making me less afraid of yellow jackets. Just yesterday we had people over for dinner and a few foraging yellow jackets showed up. Last year, I probably would’ve killed them. This year, I just tolerated them and let them be. Since I did have company over, I did have a can of the spray out so I could’ve gotten rid of the yellow jackets if they bothered my guests but it wasn’t needed.
Same
@JimAllen-Persona I'm still in the "kill on sight" phase. 😂
Same 🫣
@@fatty-mcbutterpantsI’m 40 and still in the ‘run away’ stage. Terrified, which has only got worse with agr
Placing the whole nests right next to your food containers in the refrigerator is wild lol. And your son playing with the big bird at the end was adorable
Imagine coming over for drinks n grabbing a nest instead lol
Hmm.. a bowl of dark chocolate espresso ice cream, or a bag of wasps 😂
@@Evendreams- Wasps please
Having that nest on the electric outlet is a good way from preventing your electricity from getting shut off😂
Omg thats genius 😂
@@Amirajhassani yep no one‘s gonna come near that😂
This chat is a little bit weird😂😂😂😂
Most power companies can shut it off remotely from the road with a controller switch thingy.
I love how much room your birds have to run. ❤ The fact that they get the zoomies is adorable!
I was thinking the same thing!
6 in the morning and I'm watching a dude vacuum up yellowjackets. Amazing
You're welcome
It's interesting that they would not be attacking each other with them entering nests in such close proximity. Are any of them territorial? That was an interesting removal situation. Thank you for sharing it. Please stay safe, and God bless.
I think they communicate with peremones scents, and the two nests would be different, scents, the same with honey bees, different scent markers betwwen colonies and hives.
Great video. Watching your birds run at the end was the highlight of my day. So cute!
Rhea zoomies!!!
Can we just appreciate how brave he is removing all these species without being scared I can never remove that and he is never afraid to ever get stung he is so braver then all of us
Well he does have protective gear
@@brendo6897 I wouldnt do it, even if i had a full radiation suit, i hate those yellow bastards!
@@brendo6897more than the protective gear hes armed with knowledge. i think its amazing to watch pros do this because of just how much they know. amazing that he knows enough that he feels comfortable relocating nests he removed to his own house
Please drop the "can we". It's so cringe and passive aggresive.
@@defunctuserchannel "please" followed by telling people your subjective opinion and demanding they acknowledge it sounds more passive aggressive to me.
It was amazing to me that the German wasps were still alive and kicking after four hours. Thanks for showing the crazy birdies.
What you need is a box freezer to put your wasps in so they are not in your kitchen fridge. Love watching all your videos. I just hate it when I run out of new videos to watch, so I go back as far as you have filmed and start over.
You might not be the biggest bee CZcamsr, but you are the smartest and best ❤❤❤
I'm the biggest wasp youtuber 😉
Thank you! 🥰
@@HornetKingOfficial❤❤😊❤❤
Omg I live in Sinking Spring as well. Love that a CZcamsr I’ve been following for years lives so close 🫶🏻
I just discovered your channel about 2 months ago and I'm addicted. Especially at night when I go to bed. Your occasional dialog and the white noise of your vaccum knocks me out. It's like Amsr lol.
The best part is the feeding of the birds. I really like people with love and passion for animals. Great job !
I like your two cats watching you dismantle those nests. Excellent helpers haha!
I love your interaction with your birds and squirrel the most. Best part of your videos, in my opinion. I really enjoy it. Thanks.
I miss these videos, I used to watch them alot!
No way , I thought a deep freezer in the barn, basement etc. etc. NOT the family freezer 😂😅
Great videos 😊
Thanks for another informative video Brett. I was really surprised to see the bald faced hornets so close to the yellow jackets. Does that happen often? You and your family have a god night! ❤️
Happens all the time! Wasps aren't territorial.
I really appreciate all you have taught me about these insects. I doubt I'll ever get over what amazing engineers they are...and all with locally sourced materials!
Great extractions. It's amazing just how many individual yellowjackets there are in some of these nests. Sweety seemed to have a taste for your arm and hand today, the pesky thing, lol. Watching them run around was a lot of fun. Sometimes I wish you would do a video of just a day in the life of your birdies. Good luck on the next extractions.
Shout out to Bonnie! Being the MVP and helping our man not get stung!
I loved the ending when your birds had the zoomies 😭
It's really cool that you gave the big birds that much space to run around. You can tell they like it.
You need to wear those wrist guards foor the Emus. Sweetie wanted to take a chunk out of your arm! Just love watching them run 😊
New viewer here, when you said that you were going to put them in the freezer, I thought you might have a big freezer in the storage unit or something where you keep other bees, I was shocked when you put them in your own fridge/freezer with food. LOL... I wouldnt want to bring any kind of insect or bee near my food, id be scared shitless at night, thinking they gonna attack me!! lol
Great vid!
These videos calm me for some reason. WHY DO HORNETS CALM ME???
Because you are safely behind a screen 😂😂😂 I guarantee you wouldn’t be calm if you were there 🤭
Your videos are fascinating, keep up the good work, you are so informative...love your birds and your infectious smile....keep the videos coming....
German yellowjackets are definitely more resistant to cold. That's why they still thrive in Northern BC before they hibernate come October.
Fantastic video my Hornet King! I hope you are doing alright and staying safe Sir, and I can not wait to see your next video!
Thank you! I hope you are well!
We've had some bad storms last week in SE Michigan and I've found 3 Bald-faced nests that were knocked out of the trees.
The nest in my apple tree survived :)
Has it been dealt with ever since?
@@metalheadgamer6666No I left it alone. It's high up and not a problem.
In the family freezer, right next to the broccoli and ice cream - love it!
Bro, did you call the driver of the loud car a douche? That’s hilarious. We have those drivers around my house and they always seem to ride by at the most in opportune time. Love the videos!!!!! Keep it up….
Filling notebooks with useful tips for removals at my job. Appreciate the knowledge, Hail to the King!
I actually have an old nest in a very similar spot to the one in that house's basement! Massive- bigger than a soccer ball! Only difference really is its wrapped around an exhaust pipe over our breakers and we haven't put in insulation yet. Just hangs right into my bedroom, very cool conversation starter imo 😊
You are awesome brother.
Good idea with the wrist bands.
I just wanted to say a quick Thank You to you, Hornet 🐝 King for inspiring me to get several heritage breed 🦃 turkeys (one Royal Palm tom & 4 Blue 💙 Slates). My stepmom mistakenly bought the large-breasted turkeys two years ago and they cannot breed without help, so I got ones that can do all of that without my help and are super smart to boot.😊 I've loved watching you with your different birds, so adding a few more turkeys to the order birds (chickens, geese, 🪿 and guineafowl) made perfect sense. Plus I've watched yours long enough to see the different personalities that they each have. They're so funny 😂 in the morning as they fly 🕊️ and race around! So, Hornet King, you not only taught me about hornets, you taught me about your birds. If I have emus in a couple years, I'm blaming you. 😂 Just kidding. I don't need to blame anyone; my husband knows who he married. 😅 Thanks again!
Appreciate you being willing to make a special run for an allergic client! My mom is deathly allergic to honeybee stings, it can be quite a scary situation to have critters you're allergic to stuck in your house, scared or territorial
hey
Many greetings from Germany.
Even if I don't speak English very well, I understand what you're doing. I find your videos very interesting and I'm glad that our wasps and hornets don't look so aggressive ^^
Thank you! You're English is great!
Thank you for your support, and your yellow jackets! 😁
you speak very good english, by the way!
Great show as always! I tell so many people about you when the topic of wasps, hornets and such come up. I watch a lot of bee wrangling videos as well as farm/homesteader videos. You aren't too near any of them to go do jobs in their areas, but I still tell them to come watch your channel. I think you are so brave and good at your job. And then the treat of getting to watch all your birdies eat the larvae out of the comb is so fun! Adding so much protein to their diets. I'm just always amazed at how you handle these terrifying creatures. TY for doing what you do! And how you talk to all your dinosaurs! lol
I love your channel. And I like at the end when you show all your animals. And your cute too. Thanks for all the great videos,
Thank you!🥰
Hornets/wasps are absolutely terrifying, but even i have to admit the nests they make are truly magnificent to behold sometimes.
I think if I had this profession I would definitely have a separate refrigerator/freezer just for the yellow jackets. Setting it on food I eat just makes me feel wrong, even though I am sure its fine LOL
I love your videos and your series and that everyone who watched and subscribed😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Just love the chickens and the chirping they make as they're eating. Love your videos. From Julie
As a person who hates wasps, I enjoy watching them get sucked up by a giant vacuum.
You read my mind on having me hearing the buzzing and swarming i look forward to seeing a relocated German yellow jacket nest. Best regards Nikita.K
I love the bag we can see the wasps fly in the bag, I love it. I am a wild life watcher and love to feed the wildlife.
Ur birds are too cool. Keep up the good work
Your old was in classic man , it’s like your favorite show as a kid you hear 👂 it and you know it’s on !!
Think about it !!
Spent some time in America for most of august. Really was quite striking how many different species of wasp and hornet I saw. Especially the big hornets at night time which you’d never see in the UK. But it really makes sense that more US homes house nests because so many are made of wood pretty much where in the UK we are all brick built. We get nests in homes don’t get me wrong but no where near the scale in America
I am super excited for a new video! ❤ I was binge watching The 100, but when your notification popped up, I bailed to get here.
Awesome!
Thank you. I have learnt something today. I did not know birds ate the larva and the comb.
Thanks Bret for the nest removal awesome video....Out all of you fine birds i think that the Rhea is very beautiful 👍
Old stinky 🦨Shoe🇺🇸
She's a sweetheart! Thanks, Stinky Steve!
The greatest Hornetverse crossover movie of all time
Loving the mesh bags!
Awesome video as always keep them coming. 😎
I have a similar situation - 2 nests in my backyard that seemed to appear overnight. One is Eastern hornets I think. The other is bees in a tree trunk, but I can’t get that close because the hornets are in the way. It sucks, everyone in my area who deals with this stuff seems to be booked because it’s a busy year. I even called you but I’m too far.
dont try to mess with them yourself; horrible idea. Seen it on one of my friends... poor guy.
just wait until someone that can remove them safely is free.
Ayyye, i believe this is my FB friend's house! I'm so glad you could help her and her wife out, and so quickly too!
I had some smaller ones around the outside of the house. They had comb, but no envelope. They were very chill, and let me hing out about 3 feet from the nest where I thinned the returning foragers with an electric flyswatter in the late afternoon. After the numbers were down, used a garden sprayer with water and a little bit of dish soap. With the stream of soap on the exposed comb, they had very few get to fly away. After the soapy water took care of most of the nest, returned after dark and sprayed again to take care of returning foragers. Somehow, they did not recognize me as the source of their problems. Did not have a single attack. I guess the spray from a distance is effective at knocking down the swarm defense response. The ones that took flight, left the area to return later. They did not come to attack me. Even while spraying them, I stood very still, which probably helped. After spraying, I took one small nest down and put it in a jar to see of the soap killed the larva. It did not. Put the next in a jar and I have had one hatch out so far. Gave him a piece of chicken for his troubles. The small comb had 3 capped cells, so expect a couple more to hatch out soon.
The one that hatched out is wary of me. When I reach for the jar to view him, he responds by hiding on the fair side of the comb. He is interesting to watch.
Baldface hornets:respectful obvious nest outside
Yellowjackets:nest in the weirdest most invasive places ever
Awesome as always
Love Sunday calls.
This is something thay just doesnt appear in a few hours or 48 hours.
@ more great removals by Hornet King. Love your interaction with you petting zoo!
Gees Louise they need a bigger run.I love watching them run.
Bald Faced Hornets are definitely the most aggressive/sensitive wasp species I’ve personally seen, you can’t even turn on a vacuum without getting instantly swarmed by 3/4ths of the nest. I’ve seen other people set up cameras 10 ft away from the nest and they’ll come right now and attack it! Talk about relentless onslaught of angry hornets 😂
I got stung 6 times by cranking my weedeater just because they were about 20ft away.
Thanks for sharing!
You should also invest in a borescope to see inside those crevices. keep up the good work. I'm glad I stumbled into this channel.
Really like those mesh bags
I could watch the birdies all day
It always surprises me. "Hey, you want to come see my bag full of thousands of extremely angry, stinging insects?" Homeowners: "Of course!"
"It was you Buzzin. You naughty boy."
Great "Help" movie reference from The Beatles.
Wait i thought you had a separate fridge for them. Omg goodness. But whatever floats your boat. I've enjoyed watching you work.
Nice!
Good to see you!
Those emus are both very good runners!
Them mesh bags are pretty neat and super glad they didn’t chew them lol. It was my first thought too.
I have never seen emu zoomies before, that was awesome 😂😂
New Sub. Loving the channel!! DORIS!!!!
♥ Beautiful birds!
Thanks!
Man you are the bravest
Gosh you are brave. Its one thing having to contend with the hornets but a whole other story of having to clear away webs! I cannot imagine the amount of spiders hiding in those dark places too!
Recently found your channel and love the videos. In response to your “Do I make you hornet?” shirt… the answer is yes sir 😊
Thank you!
Man, "Do I make you Hornet?", that's Hornet King OG!
🥰🥰🥰
Cool bag you have
Oh boy, your animals at home will have a huge feast!
hello Legendary Hornet King , love the Video
Thanks, Ed!
You are far more powerful that the Australians. You've successfully tamed what they failed to defeat in war. The Emus!
18:00 that is a disturbing amount of stingers poking through that net* in your fridge LMAO
A very unique place for a nest on meter
When I read the title of this video I was wondering how you'd remove both without causing a double swarm. The good old freezer technique works well, we'd leave them in our freezer for four days so we were sure they were dead. It still didn't prevent parts of some insects finding their way into our ice trays. It never bothered hubby, but with me being deathly allergic to hymenoptera I couldn't take a chance. I always enjoy seeing your pets enjoying their food, and your emu look like they're having lots of fun.
Super!
Hello I love your videos
Something that could be quite interesting with those mesh bags? Thermal camera. I wonder if they are still awake cause core of nest is warmer. They do still put out heat.
Perhaps evolution has them cycling to keep warm?
My favorite part is when you feed the animals.
Hey, you were just down the road from me. I have two YJ and one BFH nest in my bee yard this year. I've just been keeping my distance.
22:43 Ostrich! I love them 😀
Nope! Emus and Rhea 😁
I think I've asked this before and I don't remember your answer, but do you ever freeze any of the larva and nest to give the birds a treat during the winter?
23:48 to each their own Mr. Hornet King
