  • Garfield finds himself angrily walking around the street, only for a living talking gingerbread cookie and a blocky robot thingy come up to him. To do what? To give him a letter!! Garfield accepts and they walk back to home base. Wildfire City (WILDFIRE FREE) What antics will Garfield get himself into here??

    I remember having Garfield planned for Lawl Zero and eventually TSLZ for the longest time, and I decided to scrap him because I didn't know what to do regarding moveset ideas for him at the time. Fast forward to now, and I think this moveset turned out a lot better than whatever ideas I would have had in mind at the time for him, I do like the creative choices behind them the moves themselves!
    I do like the Up B's multiple uses as a recovery move and a way to quickly grab onto opponents close enough to Garfield, as well as act as a quick way to grab onto edges when needed. Additionally, I like how the Down B helps Garfield depending on whether he chooses the angel or demon on his shoulder, with the angel giving defensive boosts and the demon giving offensive boosts.
    I also liked the taunts and victories, they were particularly well animated, and I also really liked the alternate lose pose option as well. (The Skeletor cameo in that part was also nice to see).
    Overall, I'm happy that one of TSLZ's scrapped characters made into another Lawl spinoff with a great set, and I look forward to seeing what Godzilla brings in store!

    The animation and the set was absolutely stunning. Even though i’m not a Garfield fan myself and his NASB appearance, some moves should have looked like the moveset Garfield should have gotten. Meanwhile I can’t even animate falling correctly…

    (Ok, I actually tried to shorten this review, but as you can see, it was to no avail. Anyways:)
    What else can I say other than: this moveset was really great! I’m a bit of a Garfield fan, and I gotta say, this was a unique take on Garfield, and it works very well in many instances. Garfield’s playstyle fits him and his laziness very well, and every move shows that. Garfield’s Neutral Special fits his eating habits and allows gives him an incentive to stay at a distance, Side B is a pretty good combo + zoning tool, Up B is a incredibly interesting recovery, and it moving in reverse of another characters (ironically a more athletic cat) makes Up special very unique and cool, but on a balanced side of being slow to make up for his zoning tools. Down B is a pretty cool 2-choice-buff that reminds me of Squid Girls in some aspects tbh. Final Smash was a bit of an odd choice, but it was still very well animated regardless! Everything else in the set like the Ko’s, Tanjiro’s new and updated attacks (the self aware jabs at his Up special) Garfield’s Taunts, Great Victories, Tanjiro’s updated Victory screen, and his amazing alternate lose pose, the intro + outro, and the overall animation are all great and enjoyable! I think everyone who contributed to this way did a good job! I guess the cooldowns could be shorter for Neutral B, and Lasagna… honestly isn’t required outside of being a Lawl food… so I take little issue with this set! I’m also really happy for the 2 stage winners! (and did not expect that last one) I’m pretty excited for Godzilla and all future characters. Good luck!

    As a big fan of Garfield, you did a very good job on the fat cat here! I love how a lot of his moveset revolves around buffs to help him and his lazy self out. The clones were pretty funny and up B is absolutely perfect! the final smash was a pretty funny and unexpected choice. Thank you for patching up Tanjiro a little in the ko segment. I love his taunts and victories, though they can be a little hard to hear and that alternate losing pose..almost in the floor laughing XD.
    Overall, you did a fantastic job on Garf here! Great work!
    The stages are pretty hype as well, especially Sunky's schoolhouse! I wait you the best of luck on Legendary Godzilla/Gojira!

    I have to say, this lawl improves with every moveset! I was a big fan of the taunts and especially the alternate losing pose, they were very funny. Most of the specials were good too, though I do have some major problems.
    While I'm fine with rng in lawl, the neutral special feels redundant since the down special is the same concept but better. Personally, I would have it work more like Pac-Man's neutral special, where he throws more powerful food-based projectiles based on how long you hold the move (which also solves the problem of it being an unnecessary stance). Also, scrap the cooldown. Same for the down special, and most other uses of cooldowns you plan on including. They are a lazy way of balancing.
    The up special is a very good attack but a really bad recovery. I don't think it even needs to be a great recovery, but it is currently so slow that it is practically useless.
    Also, while not a moveset problem, the pacing is still very slow. If a character is doing nothing but standing around for multiple seconds at a time, cut it down. It just makes the moveset feel long and tedious.
    Also, thanks for cropping the victory screens this time lol. That was one of my biggest problems with the last moveset
