    HUGE thanks for this. I had a major issue with my laptop screen and this was the first time I'd ever done something like replacing a screen. I had a horrible growing black bar issue on the bottom of the screen and the new panel has fixed it.

      @@UbergeeksBiz So I gave this a shot, and am currently writing this from my razer with a new screen. :) That being said. the tape you recommended isn't really strong enough to keep the bezel or the screen secured. Do you have any suggestions? I've been contemplating super glue but that would make future repairs much more difficult...

    Hey bro, amazing video! I will be using this when i upgrade. I was wondering if I can upgrade from a Razer Blade 2018 1060 Max Q 1080p 60 hz screen to replace it with the 144hz version of the same type of screen with 30pin connector and staying with the native 1080p but just get a higher refreshrate. Also am i looking for a screen that is NV156FHM or do I need specifically look for NV156FHM-N61, I don't know the laptop screen specifications and couldn't find anything online. Thanks a lot :)

    Hi, thanks for the video, it really helped me to understand how to replace the screen on razer blades.
    However, I have a problem. I needed to check a model number of the screen before I complete the order with new one. So I disassembled the bezel and black double sided tape. I didn't disconnect the screen as you did in the video because I still need it.
    I got the picture with model number from the screen and returned everything back. Now, however, after switching razer on, the screen is black. It looks like it is not connected. Is it a way to somehow reset the screen? Don't know what happened really. Thanks for help.

    Used this guide to replace the panel on my RZ09-0288. Beware that if you don't see those pull tabs for the tape on the back, the tape layout is completely different such that it's inaccessible. I was only able to get my defective panel out destructively - with force, a blade, and a heat gun. thankfully, new panel installation is painless...

    The black ribbon in the middle of the hinge is cracked, would I need to replace the whole display to get this replaced or is there a direct replacement for the ribbon? Display is working fine, just very upsetting to spend such a premium price on this laptop and have the ribbon in the middle crack with a year of light use

    • @frogsareop5623
      @frogsareop5623 Před rokem

      Should be, if you can find a 4K 144hz LCD module that has identical dimensions, which should be pretty easy as most of them are the same. As for tearing, lower refresh rates don't cause tearing, but you should have G-Sync and I highly recommend trying that first, as well as messing with all the other refresh rate-related options in Nvidia Control Panel, and definitely make sure to enable triple buffering.

      @@schalachi Unfortunately it does not work because the 240hz comes with a 40 pin adapter but the 144hz comes with a 30 pin. Unless you can also find a new 30 pin display ribbon it won't work.

    I sent my razer laptop to the repair shop to replace the screen, got it back, issue resolved, but bezel is uneven, with some popping out, either due to the lack of adhesive or pried open too forcefully. I am all okay with that but the issue i found out much later due to covid and wfh, my inbuilt camera became faulty after the servicing. Any idea why? Is it the connection or something else. Super grainy and pixellated
