Bremont are in financial difficulties and they have lost their way both organisationally and Horologically. New logo is rubbish and doesn't respect your origins like the old prop did. Be true to yourselves and return to your original path. Stop wasting money on high profile premises and concentrate on your core business.

Fed, your critiques are legendary. You certainly don't hold back. In the case of Bremont, (I commented elsewhere), they "got high on their own supply" ...didn't have the "heritage" that they needed to charge the ridiculous prices they were charging, blew all their original investment money on over-ostentatious premises, filling their showroom with F1 cars, etc...
You, on the other hand see the value of moving product at lower margins. If the price is right, you're always gonna come out ahead!
    Bravo bro!

WTF were they EVER doing over there? They were always just a couple of Henley-on-Thames well off public schoolboys producing watches with tenuous links to aviation, maritime etc. They had a little traction from their public school mates who ended up in the RAF and would give them special orders for squadron watches but that can't sustain a brand over the long term. Not at that price point anyway. I always remember a quote from Warren Buffett, "It's only when the tide goes out that you find out who is wearing swimming trunks". Bremont were always a Fugazi, a microbrand pretending to be a big boy.

Rarely do I post disparaging comments about watch brands, as I quite respect/appreciate the financial risk they take to (potentially) benefit us watch-lovers. But does Bremont really have much brand equity/respect? Their designs, movements, and - ugh, yes - their name are uninspired. I suspect these wholesale changes are more Hail Mary than anything else.

I don't know, Bremont had to do _something_ to appeal to more people. These designs are no good but I will say they're at least wearable, which is more than I can say for the triptych cases. Still I think the biggest issue they have is their brand identity, which I like to call Arrogantly British. If they can change that to something with more mass appeal outside of the UK then I'm all for it. But GD get a designer who can at least do something somewhat cohesive.

Parachuting in a successful CEO, and demanding change to turn it around( brand logo, design etc). However, they definitely threw the baby away with the bathwater.
